The white waters highlight the strong self-aeration of the turbulent water jet issued form the bottom outlet system. Trash sluice operation at the 3 Gorges Project dam, Yichang (China). Total head: H = 70 m; Jet velocity: V = 35 m/s - Video taken on 20 October 2004.
    The strong turbulence of the jet is clearly highlighted by the self-aeration and white waters of the flow.
