  • The operation of the Trevallyn Dam spillway (Tasmania Australia) is documented on 4 & 7 September 2024, during a sizeable flood event.
    Completed in 1955, the 33 m high concrete gravity dam is equipped with an un-gated smooth chute spillway. The reservoir supplies a hydropower station. During floods, the spillway overflow flows into the Cataract Gorge and into the Tamar River in Launceston.
