He's always repeating the same arc of learning he needs to train again like that's all they can think of with him. Even Super Hero is literally just, "Hey, remember when Gohan used to be cool? Now he's just someone who's always studying and never training again.". I'll give it some credit for having the twist that Gohan was training in secret (though it doesn't really make too much sense). But at the same time, he should really be past this by now.
