I think for Knee, he wasn’t using heat effectively. He would often burn his heat early using it for a heat dash and now you see him being more selective with that since he has a better understanding of how strong conserving your heat is. Great to see him perform well

So happy for Knee finally coming to understand the game by focusing on characters suited to him that he knows in and out rather than playing to the meta. It feels like for the majority character mastery means so much more now than in Tag 2/7. But I do still feel Lili could play into his strengths even more. I love the way The Jon plays King. His mixup with SW/GS is phenomenal, but he really understands how to incorporate the threat of the throw as King becoming a true grappler now. It is obviously difficult in the moment, but the window to break is slightly longer for those two, so you can react to the startup of the back leg lift/arms lunging for the legs, that I wonder if in the situations where people expect the option to be between that mix they can at least fair better than the perceived 50/50.

He sullied what could have been a proper victory from Knee by constantly using spider stance. Knee is used to spider stance… when there are still plenty of moves that can clip it. In tekken 8, there’s a small handful of characters and moves that can even touch Zafina in spider stance.

That Shadow Knee match shows the breadth of styles in this game. Knee adapted and dominated in the faster paced style against Ulsan and then struggled against his (arguably) preferred slower paced style against Shadow’s Zafina since most of his options whiff against her low profile stances

That Shadow Knee match shows the breadth of styles in this game. Knee adapted and dominated in the faster paced style against Ulsan and then struggled against his (arguably) preferred slower paced style against Shadow’s Zafina since most of his options whiff against her low profile stances
