These 2 all time greats are incredible. Even though am a Serena fan, i really admire Steffi Graf as well. I feel these 2 along with Martina and Chris are all worthy to bear the GOAT title Even though i feel the GOAT concept is flawed because it's difficult comparing players from different eras. And for those who claim Serena has no variety i doubt if they've watched this and some of her other matches at the 1999 us open when she had just limited experience on tour.
@@TrailerReads Graf doesn't own jack shit. Seles couldn't be the player she was supposed to be, but she is the reason why Graf will never be the GOAT. You don't lose 3 out of 4 Grand Slam finals to the same player when you're both in your primes if you're the greatest. You don't let that same player win 7 Grand Slams (only 1 where you didn't play) in a span of just over 2 years (8 including Seles' first GS in 1990) if you're the greatest. Bullshit. You obsessed, likely geriatric Parche wannabes can make all the videos you want. Nothing will ever change that.
Graf would have easily won the match if she was playing her old rivals like Arentha Sanchez Vacario & Novotna. She couldn't out hit Serena and Serena had the serve. Steffi never played players of that calibre and thats why she won so many grand slams and titles.
@@TrailerReads Wrong. She lost to her twice in a row (Hannover and Miami). She lost in 3 straight tournaments to a Williams sister. She knew what was coming and peaced out. At least Seles (who has nowhere near the player she was before the stabbing, the only way Graf started winning slams consistently again in the worst, weakest time in women's tennis history) stayed and faced the next generation (the toughest, best era in women's tennis history).
They're weren't equally good. Graff was the second-best player of her era, and had only one GS doubles title. As for beauty, it's irrelevant; and your view is just that.

Still have vivid memories of that match. The level of play was insane between these two legends ❤

This was when Steffi passed on the GOAT torch to Serena
Nah, Graf still owns it.

Love Steffi's ball striking 🤩

Her only rival got stabbed 😂
But still she is a great champion to as great as her titles would say
Yup. Same when she faced Venus 2 weeks later in Miami. Venus picked her game apart in straight sets.
Graf was 3-1 against Venus in 1999 but go on…
@@TrailerReads it’s two all, sadly she swiftly retired before she could confront the real Williams

It's too bad that they didn't play in the same era. This rivalry would have been so good!
Editing out the crowd reactions (jeering, moans and groans, boos, the cheering Serena's erorrs) distorts history.
I felt kinda humiliated myself, as a German, seeing our Steffi Graf getting stomped like she got in the 1st set
Iga swiatek game looks like Steffi a little
Do you think Iga can win 20+ grands slams? I doubt it
@@marfu1119 she can if the top 20 suddenly retires 😀
Hahahahaha
Both are equally good with a minor difference is that graf is beauty with the brain and serena is brain without beauty ❤

@@cjasewell yes my views are equally relevant as serena beauty
Graff looks like a man 😂 stop lying
