Thank you again! I bought this based on your video. My kit was missing the sticker sheet & body pins, and one front coilover gets stuck at full extension. Otherwise i am happy!
Thanks for the info on the bearings, I am about to put one together
This is too small for you!!! ;-)
@@donaldsneffe yes, I know right…
GLAD I WATCHED THIS. NOT GETTING ONE NOW. BECAUSE I AM LOOKING FOR A KIT I WANT TO BUILD IT MYSELF. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT FOR THEM CALLING IT A BUILDERS EDITION 😡😡 THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Also would have highly preferred to get a "real kit" to build, incl. axles, gearbox, ...
@@donaldsneffe EXACTLY 🤙🤙🤙🤙
How do you like this truck, now that you've had it for a little bit?
I really like it. It is the same as all the other CR-18 trucks, but does already come with wheel weights. All those (also the Atlas 6x6, RocHobby Katana) are nice 1/18 trucks I can recommend. Better than Panda Hobby.
Kind of sucks they don’t give bearings with these that would definitely be an upgrade I would have to do. Kind of sucks it’s pre-built however I do like the fact you get the upgraded sharks and a clear body so it’s a little more customizable
Woww... spettacolare...bel video... ciao dall'Italia
Looks great
Before assembling I would honestly replace the stock motor with the SCX24 motor which is a Dynamite 88T so it has more torque for hills
It has a Barrage motor, isn't that ok?
@@donaldsneffe It is but it’s only a 55T so you won’t have as much torque as an 88T, Cross RC has the same motor but as a 100T but it hardly comes in stock. For how much plastic there is I’d just stick with the 55T honestly, an 88T could strip a gear if a tire gets hung up, and coming across these tiny plastic gears isn’t real easy.
@@thefisherman1127 I use those motors (RGT, Hobby Plus, Barrage are the same) in many of those small trucks and am quite happy.
Such a shame that it didn't include bearings though, that would have been better than adding the radio gear.
For sure. Did already exchange bushings to bearings...
The brass wheel weights are top, they are used instead of the rings in the beadlocks, awsome.
Unfortunately really expensive and actually out of stock.
@@donaldsneffe The brand Fast Eddy sells a full sealed bearing kit for $22 on Amain Hobbies
@@thefisherman1127 The wife of Josh Thiede (Harley Designs) works for Fast Eddy. I do not like him, so I won't buy Fast Eddy Bearings ;-)
Just Kidding. I am in Europe...
Do have a ton of bearings for those tiny trucks here, do not have to buy extra actually.
Whoa, I was hoping a kit version came out.
Yes, this is nice for builders.
But I would have preferred a kit in the style of the Orlandoos, where you have to assemble everything, and which come with ball bearings. In the CR-18 kit axles, central transmission, frame are already preassembled, unfortunately. And it comes with electronics (I do not need and want) and a Lipo (I also do not need/want)...
"Orlandoo 1/18 or 1/24", that is what I would like to see.
@@donaldsneffe oh better to buy the cheapest previous version and upgrade electronics and body.
@@BlvlWmpower the "old" cheap version does come with the small motor. I guess, kit version (including metal shocks and wheel weights) is best option, if shipping costs are cheap to your country (and you do not have to pay 42 €/50 US$ VAT plus DHL handling charge, as I had to).
No bearings??? Dang I ordered one today
Did already exchange to ball bearings. But do not know if that is really necessary. Front wheel weights are awsome (but unfortunately very expensive and out of stock at most places).
myn still has the bushings now the transmission is binding and not moving if i was to buy bearings would this fix it or do i need a new gearbox?
Depending on what is broken in the gearbox. Probably gears are down? Then you need new gears. Changing bushings to bearings will not help in this case.
@@donaldsneffe all of the teeth on all of the bearings are fine so im confused
@@tylerwannamaker2682 Remove tires and driveshafts and check, where the binding is - front- or rear axle or central transmission. And then solve the problem, should not be too difficult. Maybe only tires are mounted too firmly...
@@donaldsneffe its in the trans it looks like the one gear is lose and just moved and instnt touching the other gear
I check the kit and is still selling in Asiatees, for me cost $132 with shipping and for me is ok, upgrade come increase the price in others cr 18, but for me is value
Yea, probably you are not living in Austria, EU, as I do ;)
It is always difficult to say how much something costs for people living in different parts of the world.
As mentioned, all in all it cost me more than 160 €, that's about 185 - 190 US$, that is quite a lot. If it would had come without Lipo battery (which I do not need), it would have cost me probably 110 € plus shipping, if it would have come additionally without radio (which I do not need either), shipping would probably have been free (100 $ plus is free shipping for us on Asiatees for smaller things).
