- THIS is a BETTER commuter than an Ebike. Prove me wrong! Maxfind FF AT
This is a review of the Maxfind FF AT electric skateboard. AT stands for All terrain. Yes this is an all terrain electric skateboard and we'll take the ESk8 over all sorts of terrain but I'm here to tell you that this particular all terrain Electric Skateboard makes the perfect commuter - possibly even better than an Ebike. Have a watch of the video and see if I can convince you. If not, let us know in the comments.

looks really nice and I love this idea with hubs in AT like not so heavy board for city ride. No brands doing this nowadays. Just nowhere see info how change tires in case it will be gone.

@jonathansmedley1077 yeah definitely different but I stand by that it's easier than riding a bike if you start off not being able to do either. Shame you have to scan the road surface so much more though if you're on street wheels.

Love the idea of using one of these to commute home-station, station-work, then back... but... I think it's now illegal to take them on a train in the UK :(.
I heard about escooters and eucs on the news but not esk8s. Not 100% sure myself though.
You'll have to do another snow test with this one too, lol. Then we can talk about a true year-round commuter.

I guess this thing would not be great with a big heavy backpack on it? 😊 (that I need for my groceries) May I ask you what gradient is on the slope you are testing your vehicles?
Some people put a bag on the board in the middle in between the feet. It's fine at carrying the backpack It's just a case of how much you can handle and balance. Esk8s definitely aren't as good as ebikes when it comes to carrying capacity.

Not sure about london but I went through a few pot holes and there are speed bumps in the video

NOT interested🤢 I'm 74 and own 3 e-bikes that I built myself powered by RC batteries(36v) which are great for around Hilly Bristol and the surrounding countryside. I still have to pedal, but as i have titanium plates in my pelvis I can't manage an unpowered bike. I sometimes cycle with a local group(20-25 miles) and I often have to wait for them to catch up when it comes to steep hills and that's on 250 watt Bafang mid drive motor( soon to be replaced by illegal 750watt motors). I would kill myself on a powered skateboard, and it would be totally UNCOOL for an old codger like me to even attempt it. Bye the way, I have NEVER in over 5 years been stopped by plod, because they see an old guy on a bicycle, travelling at normal bicycle speeds, they don't even notice the electric motor and the batteries are in the saddle bag.
