What feature do you think all ebikes should have?
The alarm can be deactivated by unplugging the battery but most ebikes can't be unplugged like this one. At least with the DYU A5 the thief won't be able to use the bike's own power to steal the bike from you.
Also let me know if you have any opinions of this video format compared the usual voice over and mostly talking on bike.
9:10 😂😂 Thanks for that dude, funniest thing I've heard today.
😅
I own a Engwe GT5 and I love it , its a little beast to ride around the streets of my hood !
The same as the t14? Yeah nice little bike. Similar to this. I reckon yours is a bit faster though.
@@e-VRC started out at 400w unlocked 960w 35km + maybe but way better acceleration .
@@recalcitrantjingo4869 niiiice!
Great review. Also great little bike too. ticks a lot of boxes. Design, Size, price, security etc the alarm is such a great touch, seriously considering one.
Cool looking little e-bike!
Agreed 👍
Been looking at this because you can fold . Normal sized ebike it's a bit of a beast. Definitely not for transporting in a Car. But this brilliant
Good things come in small parcels amd this parsel ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of folks. I have the Engwe Engine Pro (which you covered extensively) and perhaps you'll do a review the new 2nd gen. Thanks love the show.
Thanks. Yeah I'm hoping to get the 2.0 once I've got room to take more bikes 😂
I've just got my wife a DYU C6 city bike excited to see it, pst I did look see if you'd reviewed it 😊
I hope she likes it. Nah not had that one. But different to this one. Looks nice 👍
@e-VRC I hope so too she wanted the black but I think a lighter colour suits those style bike
I do like that security feature and I agree, that is something that all e bikes need.
When I had the Eskuta sx250 I loved that you could just park it up and bip the alarm. It helped that it was so big no one could carry it away too.
Am I the only one thinking a thief can just easily pick it up and walk off with it?
With that particular e bike, then yes it could just be picked up, on heavier e bikes that is more of an issue. Last week I watched a video of someone ignoring the big bike lock and instead cut through the bike stand before riding off with the ebike, at least the security feature helps in that scenario.
@@applecorp you're right but unlike some ebikes that don't need keys to have power at least the bike isn't helping the bike thief steal your pride and joy.
@@Faluzeer On that note I saw a video of some toerag ignoring the bikes heavy duty lock and cut through the "dedicated" bike rack the bike was locked to. Wasn't even an angle grinder, just some manual cutting tool that he rotated 360 degrees around the metal tubing. Sliced a 3 inch segment out of it and took all of three seconds. What's the point in having an expensive lock if "they" (the council etc) can't provide secure objects to lock your bike to.
⚡️👀⚡️
*Another lovely little, more portable ebike* 👌🏽👌🏽
Touch bit more speed would do.
Yeah even just an extra 4 would be great.
Hi mate in the specs it says it will go up incline 15 degrees. So I’m wondering why you stoped on sandy lane, it doesn’t look that steep, could you check you were in best gear. As I’m slightly disabled and unable to walk very far, I wouldn’t want to get stuck unable to ride. I know I can peddle a bit but you didn’t convince me. I don’t want to buy it if it’s not suitable. Is there anywhere to do a test ride? I think this would suit many disabled being easy to transport and light. Thanks.
I think when they say ebikes/escooters etc can get up certain inclines 1. They're a bit exaggerated 2. They're with a really light rider and 3. With ebikes they want you to be pedalling a bit. All sandy lane hill climbs are done without pedalling but then when they don't make it up I start pedalling and usually they get up with little effort. Having said that it isn't the strongest small bike. It's not the lightest either. Engwe's t16 is better up the hill but it's heavy. Bikes like the Pvy Libon are lighter but larger.
Is this better than the ENGWE T14 if i want an ebike for commuting, and also just for fun?
It's a bit slower but folds smaller and is lighter.
That is a good security feature
I wish the Coswheel ct20s had it. Wouldn't have to lock it then.
Engwe have released the new Engine Pro 2.0. Any chance you could review it?
Once I've gotten rid of a few bikes then hopefully 👍
good idea anti theft , but major flaw , the thief just needs to pull out the power lead at the to of the battery 😂
Haha true but at least they can't turn it on and ride it away with power like some other bikes. It's still a great feature especially on bikes where the power isn't easily disconnected.
@@e-VRC I have a little road legal E Scooter (moped registered) it has exactly the same system on it right down to the same beeps and remote lol
Doh 😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉😂😂
Simple thing put a tracker in the frame etc
iam 6ft 5 would this be to small for me , iam about 16st
Weight won't be an issue. You'd be able to ride it but it might feel a bit small.
@@e-VRC thankyou for your reply , what would you sugest for my height on a tight budget , ??
OH MAN, this model is not available in the U.S. So sad. If ANYONE can help us out on this one, please do - and thank you in advance.
Range test: ruclips.net/video/ZiStrp33L50/видео.html
This is good for certain situations but not not really a good city bike or anything with hills ... unfortunately
Depends on the hills. With cycling it gets up Sandy Lane which is more than I can say for a normal bike. That doesn't mean normal bikes are useless. Same with Cities. What does one need from a city bike? If it's the ability to travel around at about 15mph but then easily jump on public transport then it's great.
There is a way de restrict the bike
All e-bikes need to be able to recharge down hill or while braking!
Agreed
Looks small enough to fit in a backpack so you can save on battery.
🤟🤟
Lol is that Bilbo Baggins bike good idea all the same
Haha nah it's a bit bigger. Samwise Gamgee 😂
@@e-VRC No No It`s the gaffers .That alarm thing is good to a certain degree but if you locked your bike up outside the Supermarket some School kid would probably start farting about with it and you would be dropping your basket every five minutes to run outside to make sure your bike wasn`t being knocked off, there`s always a downside to an upside
@@celticbhoy14 haha true
cool feature but i think if someone wants to steal it they will just pick it up
