Agree, this is a fantastic video. I am from a country that has 'low' social concerns flagged because these issues are brushed aside and kept under the cover. Lots to learn from UK in this aspect.
@ Enfield Council . Thank you for posting this. It's sad. My impression is this is normal abuse. Some places like here in Bristol, GP's support each other's cruelty to vulnerable adults. One patient with developmental brain injuries, CFS, Arthritis and severe PTSD, who had been on high monthly doses of Codeine, Diazepam and Zopiclone, for many years was suddenly deprescribed without consultation or warning by a stranger GP, with no monitoring of worsening original conditions, nor any monitoring of severe withdrawal effects, such as heart arrhythmia or Codeine withdrawal psychosis, and no discussion of tailing off or switching medicines. Just cold turkey from 3 class A drugs, over Christmas in isolation, with no one to turn to. Incidentally, that case is still ongoing, and no one in Bridge View Medical is taking any action! So who should I report it to when it's the vulnerable adult's GP clinicians pushing them to suicide?
Great video. Would I be able to show this video in my PowerPoint presentation for ambulance staff? We are covering safeguarding on mandatory training and I have recently come across this great resource.
Im so sorry to hear that Kim. No-one should be disrespeced because of their health problems. You could consider reporting the person to the police or social services for hate crime.
