Superb video. As an owner of a 1977 308 GTB for over 20 years there were so many details I could relate to when watching. Regarding the horns they were originally cast aluminum with a translucent painted finish on them. They were not anodized and it is an easy mistake to make. If you want a perfect reproduction of the red take them to an airbrush artist that specializes in race helmets or motorcycles. Those guys perfectly understand the use of candy (tinted) clear and they will be able to PEFECTLY match the original FIAMM finish as it left the factory in Mantova. As it happens I have a few dozen original FIAMM horns totally NOS and still in their original packaging so I can be absolutely sure of the colour and finish.
I was six in 1977. My mum had an Austin 1100. Most cars back then were like Ford Cortina Mark twos and I think mk1 fiestas etc. But most folk had a Morris minor or something like that. Or an Austin Princess. Imagine seeing one of these buggers looking like that rolling down the street. It must’ve looked like a rocket ship from outer space.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO REVIEW. I have always loved this Ferrari 308, I will track this if it's sold before I can purchase it. It's insanely gorgeous, thanks for posting sharing & selling.
My absolute favourite car ever. Didn’t even notice it didn’t have wing mirrors lol, gonna have to watch the opening credits in Magnum now to see if his had mirrors lol
40 years old, but to me, still the best looking street Ferrari ever!
I think the 288 GTO was peak 308 looks. Arguably one of the prettiest cars ever made.
40 years later this is still what I think of when I think of Ferrari
@@noelht1 absolutely - quintessential Ferrari and the basis of the 288 GTO and arguably the F40. Also shares styling/details with the BB.
Absolutely

I'd have left it silver but wow, what a lovely car.

I think the change to Rosso was spot on . Plus it has been meticulously serviced 😮 👌🏾
So rare to find such an original car.Beautiful.

I'm not overly amazed that you are impressed with that beautiful paint job - after all, you did it.
I really enjoy your videos. What a beautiful car.
Absolutely gorgeous!

Stunning. I miss Pininfarina Ferrari.
Sounds soooo good 💪🚀
I used to think the Dino 246 was the most beautiful, but the more time passes the more I think it's the 308 GTB.
Good one mate
Absolutely gorgeous 😍
That is not a car. That is a time machine. It is only leapt forward 45 years. It’s an absolute Minter. Looks like it’s newer than when it was new
Space saver spare wheel? Beautiful glws.
how much is the color change going to affect the value
Daytona 😍
Tom Sellek called. He wants his car back. 😂😂
You keep saying 40 years - sadly it's closer to 50 😳
I’d have to to return it to its original silver, very nice though.
What a lovely one. Too bad it lost its original silver color.
2:06 to 3:10
What a shame it was sprayed resale red
Utterly gorgeous, but £135k for a repainted car feels a bit steep, even if it is utterly perfect.
Agree, would want a Veteroresina for that. Especially in the wrong colour
Can you repaint it back into silver for me please?
That looks like a minter its a shame its had a colour change . In my eyes as a painter every colour looks good if painted well ,
Nice 308 but the asking price seems to be off the charts…
Such a shame to repaint it retail red - ruined! It would look so much better in its original silver
