blue soul i mean you could get invisalign but that is such a hassle so i would just get clear brackets and clear rubber bands if your ortho has them

I have had my braces on since May 30th, 2018. And I’m getting them off on December 4th, 2019, so technically I’ve had them for almost 2 years.
I got mine put on July 2019 and have to have them on for 2 and a half years, so December 2021. I also had to have four teeth removed before I got them put on

Paige Motley awww I know it sounds discouraging but I promise it will be worth it! I remember low key crying after being told I wouldn’t be getting them off when they had said they’d be coming off but I learnt to stay patient and trust the process. You’ll be so happy when they finally come off that you’ll forget about all the time you spent having to wait ☺️💖💕

I had mine last December 2018 and just had it adjusted yesterday after almost 5 months! I wasn't able to get to my dentist last March due to the Covid outbreak.
I can't wait to take mine off!
Wow 5 months without an adjustment! I was actually supposed to go in for my 3 month post braces check up but I couldn’t as well due to covid. I actually still need to schedule another follow up 😅

I keep wanting to get these for years now, I watch thons of video but can afford it, I really wish I get it before I get married eventually, I want to be able to smile widely showing how happy I really am about something without feeling self conscious 😔
My retainers fit me perfectly and come off very easily. I had to wait until the end of the next day to pick them up, so about 32 hours later, and I could tell my teeth has shifted slightly, but they fit easily and I could feel the next morning that the shift had been corrected. My orthodontist office uses a photo scan machine and then does a 3D print of your teeth. I think impressions are inherently a little more inaccurate because of the process. I don't think they capture where the top of your teeth meets your gums as well so you don't get that perfect gum fit. I was really scared of my retainers digging into my gums and was very happy it didn't happen. I haven't seen anyone else not get impressions though, so I guess my office is different.

Where the update
Taking your retainer out will get easier over time, it will start to feel looser to remove. Try wiggling the retainer up and down using both hands ( index finger and thumb) but never pull down from the front two teeth. When you get your bottom retainer if you put a bandaid on your thumb it will help you to remove your retainer much easier ❤️ Also when removing your retainer try not to release the pressure from just one side as this can put strain on the retainer and cause it to crack, it happened to my sister twice.

I put my top braces in October 2018 ,and in December 2019 have put down .I can not wait day when i will take off and go to buy all food wich i could not eat with breaces...I used that 3D white before i had breaces but it does not helped me so after breaces i will do whiting.Ur teeths are perfect do not stop smile😁😁😁😀
I got braces on October 16th 2019 and I have to have them for 2 years and get 4 teeth pulled out in 6-8 months, im so scared that its going to look weird with just 28 teeth, when you got your extractions did it hurt at all and did it hurt to eat? Also my teeth are crowded on the bottom so flossing hurts and i dont know what to do, I don't have a waterpik right now either..
Getting the extractions done didn’t hurt coz they numbed my mouth like crazy. The healing process was a little tender but nothing too crazy. I personally have a pretty high pain tolerance so it wasn’t that bad for me, but in saying that everyone is different. My best advice is to keep brushing and flossing, & speak to your orthodontist about & ask about why it hurts when you floss. They may be able to give you better solutions. Hope this helped! 💕

I got 4 teeth removed too dont worry about it, they do numb your mouth a lot so you won't feel anything out pressure from the removing your teeth but other than that if you dont stop bleeding just gargle warm water with salt
I had to have 5 teeth removed at hospital and have my adult canines exposed in the roof of my mouth. It wasn't that bad. As long as you are prepared with the right foods and you have medicine there is nothing to worry about. Everything healed very quickly.

I didn’t have to have spacers because I got 4 teeth removed instead. For me, I didn’t feel much pain when I got my braces on, it just felt very tight if that makes sense. I hope everything goes well for you though 💖

just a tip to take the retainer out: go from the back on the inside of your teeth! i find there’s more room for my nails to get under it back there 😊 hope that helps

Did you get a root canal done on your #9 tooth I see it looks slightly darker than the rest
I actually haven’t! It’s a shade darker because apparently it’s had some nerve damage. When I was 11 I fell face first into the road while riding my bike & most of that tooth broke off. My orthodontist recommended I get a veneer but I kinda like it the way it is. Something different, & it has a funny story behind it 😂🙏🏼💖

Hi may I know if you have difficulty with your tongue space? since your teeth were pulled backwards. I also have the same plan by my dentist, pull 4 premolars since I have a protrusion in my upper teeth, and crowding in my lower teeth, also all my 4 third molars are already up and in place.

Did you have to get your teeth extracted? I'm gonna get braces soon but I'm really nervous about the extraction because i saw many videos advising not to get extractions as they result in long term side effects.
I did get extractions. My orthodontist gave me the choice of whether I wanted it done or not. I had overcrowding in my mouth so I was told extractions would make it easier to have everything fit into place but, it could be done without it if I really wanted it. I decided to just get the extractions done but everyone is different. Make sure you talk to your orthodontist about what all your options are & if you aren’t happy you can go & get other opinions from other doctors. Good luck! 💕

It all depends on each individual person. Some people find it unbearable, while others don't really feel it at all. My recommendation is pain killers and also dental wax to prevent the wire from cutting into your cheeks 💕
Your teeth look amazing 😍. I currently have braces I’ve been having them for 4 months and I only have the bottoms rn but I really want them off because I’m always scared of breaking a bracket and second week I had them I broke one and now I’m to scared to eat (even with soft foods)

chaneillouise Hi lovely! I actually used the Oral B ones from my local Chemist Warehouse! Back before getting my braces on I used to order crest whitening strips online & they worked amazing! But there’s so many fakes being sold online now that it’s difficult to find a reliable source here in Australia. So unless you can get someone from the US to send you a pack, I wouldn’t recommend buying them online. Sorry if that wasn’t too helpful, but for me I feel like the oral b ones do a decent job for what they are. Also, thank you so much for your sweet words :) I’m so glad that you’ve found my videos helpful & I hope everything goes well with your treatment! 💖💕

How much time it would take to fill a gap after tooth extraction for braces...? Mine both upper premolars extracted before a month...and it's been 1 year and 4 months I have started my ortho treatment...can't wait to get them off.... please guide me on this dear...
It's all dependant on how quickly your teeth want to shift and move into place. For me it took foreverrrrr! I was only supposed to have my braces on for a year and a half but ended up keeping them on for 3 because my teeth were just sooo slow with moving into place. Everyone is different though :)
Pretty teeth, yay! 😁 just a little tip for those retainers (I'm currently doing Smiledirect so I'm in aligners that look like retainers) it's easier to take them out if you go behind you back teeth inside your mouth and you just pull down and they come off super easy instead of the front and scratching your gums! Hope that made sense

I'm gonna put braces next month and I'm already nervous thinking about it.. I have been told that I will most probably have to extract 2 teeth out on the top and I'm kinda scared about the gaps that it will leave and about the time it will take before getting connected with the other teeth
I've got gaps in the space where my upper canines should be. Instead the adult canines are growing from the roof of my mouth. The braces have made the gaps much less obvious and most people don't notice unless I tell them. There's nothing to worry about. If anything it's more exciting having braces when you have gaps because you can see obvious progress.
