This VOLVO XC40 Recharge: Volvo XC40 Recharge AWD P8 300kW 78kWh R DESIGN AWD Auto 5d
Range: 259 miles
Real world range: 218 miles
Power (bhp): 402 bhp
Price: Around £56,700 from new (price at the time of filming)
Charging time:
Fast charging station (150kW) = 0-80% in 40 mins
AC Wallbox (11 kW) = 0-100% in 8 hours
Boot space: 452litres (seats up) / 1000 litres (seats down)
At the time of filming, there were THREE trim-levels available: Core, Plus and Pro. It seems Volvo have now dropped their Core entry-level option. But have reduced their top spec Pro trim-level by £3649.99! Thanks Volvo.
Here are the revised trim-levels and prices:
PLUS - priced from £48,300
PRO (Equivalent to this model) - priced from £53,050.01

- Keyless drive
- Wireless phone charging

- Power operated tailgate
- 19 inch diamond cut alloy wheels
- Privacy glass (rear)
- 2x charging cables: 7m charging cable with 3 pin plug + 4.5m Phase 2 32 amp Type 2/ Mode 3 charge cable (for charging at charging station)
If you buy the car you'll also get:
3 YEARS INSURANCE | 3 YEARS SERVICING | 3 YEARS MAINTAINENCE
The PRO upgrade will give you:
- Pilot assist (adaptive cruise control upto 80 mph)
- 360 parking camera
- Park assist (front, rear AND sides)
- Panoramic roof
- 20 inch diamond cut alloys
- Premium Harman Kardon sound system
- Fresh air subwoofer

Great video. Did you mention how great it feels when you absolutely floor it?
Not sure that I did. But I agree. 😂 The limiter made me think the car was sluggish. But when the foot hits the carpet - full on Jekyll and Hyde mode.
Grand review Abi. I do love a volvo, peace of mind for the family with volvos safety reputation. Their styling i think is great on their newer models and the ev tech is good too.

@@robelghaim1945 Thanks Robel. I have. Being honest I hammered all the fun stuff (heated steering wheel, heated seats, sound system), I also was continually on and off driving, opening boot etc for filming. After 48 hours still had 50% battery life. Which I think is good considering you’d never use it like I did in those two days! Range is good.

@@SHETALKSCARS MOST DEFINETELY! EV is the FUTURE! and I can only see it going better and better with EV cars! Love my ICE XC40 but in the future I'm going EV! and it will be between VOLVO, TESLA, LEXUS
