Disney is making sure to keep the parks safe and has every right to do so with security checks, keeping unhinged individuals out is definitely more challenging.
It makes sense, having avatar at DCA in my opinion, because if we have Star Wars and Disneyland, avatar would make sense being in DCA, because it gives more that another dimension of California’s agriculture.
Some people clearly have not been raised right and seem to think that if they throw a big enough fuss, that they will get their way. Some people never learn.
I swear it's always entitled parents. We really need no kids/adult only nights at least once a month. Imagine paying all that money and getting banned for being a piece of trash... Ghetto behavior.
Pandora is great, really. The design is fantastic....I just don't get the Avatar obsession, it could have been LITERALLY anything else. It makes ZERO sense in context the park it's in.
Depending on their scope, I could honestly see it take place inside a building in Hollywood land, there are two mostly unused stage show buildings, either side of Monsters Inc, that would do, but one is bigger than the other. Depending on size, they could easy wedge it in one location.. or it could be something for Disneyland Forward and it going in the carpark behind DCA. Either way, it will be interesting
Oh yea, I guess Millionaire bldg above though seems like more land to right of Monsters inc. I still feel Grizzly play area is a great already woodsie spot.
I suspect that the nice Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area has seen the last and will become part of the Avatar area… but cannot imagine that they’d consider getting rid of Grizzly River Run! 🤔
I feel like they wouldn’t touch that especially since it literally connects to the Grand Californian which whole theme is around Grizzly Peak and I doubt Disney would retheme that hotel so I’m certain they wouldn’t touch that there.
I hope the new Avatar land or attraction is a riff on "The Way of Water," rather than a copy of DAK's land. However, I suspect it'll just be a walkthrough like "Avatar: The Experience" currently at Singapore's Gardens by the Bay.
If that is the case, it'll likely replace the challenge trail. I think it would be pretty neat if they took the whole area back there, both the challenge trail and grizzly peaks, and turned it into a way of water themed area. the beaches and such still give 'California Adventure' vibes, but since they already have the ground work for a water ride its just quite fitting. There's a lot of land over there, some of which goes unused. They could fit two flight of passage ride buildings in there and still have space for a themed land and walkway. They have the space, just need to pick something to do with it
@@heathermakesvideos9561 I doubt they would use that location, especially since the flagship premium hotel for the resort looks into the area. Rooms have balconies looking into the Grizzly Peak area, so no show buildings can be built and the theming of the hotel would be not matching a Pandora area. I personally think they are gonna put it in the Hollywood land backstage area, maybe even removing Monsters Inc and building into the bus drop off/pick up area and then relocate that to somewhere else.
I hope the new Avatar experience with be themed around way of water. California is famous for its beach culture so the beach and ocean dwelling metkayina would be in theme
Seriously, throwing a tantrum like a toddler?! What is wrong with people?. Thank you for your service Eric, my dad is a Vietnam War Marine vet. Semper-Fi.
Could DCA be any more of a hot mess thematically? Now adding Avatar? IMO none of the later parks can hold a candle to the ones Walt had a hand in designing.
DCA has been transforming into a collection of themed lands without an overall theme, just like Disneyland park and Magic Kingdom park are. I would argue that DisneySea more than holds a candle to those parks.
Some of the security are wanna be authoritarians. I had one give me crap for my shoes going off when I walked through the metal detector. He did the wand over me (no big deal I didn't care, figured maybe I had a coin or something I missed) he go down to my shoes and threw a fit. I wear converse and the grommets were setting off his wand. He said need to go to a secondary but a uniformed officer was behind him and said it was not necessary. (Figured being there is a 3 year old and a 7 year old was probably a good indicator I was not there for nefarious reasons)
I have a feeling that they will build the Avatar experience in Hollywood land at California adventure. Do you think they’ll build a version of flight of passage or a different type of ride?
I also feel the raft ride and and play area can all be avatar themed. Raft ride a new Avatar water ride (I love it!) and Play area the rest. And walkways flooded with Pandora. That being said, how the HELL does Pandora theme to California? Disney needs to rebrand the lame name of California Adventure to something like Disney's Magical Adventures.
I think the park’s Hollywood Land section would be the best place for an avatar ride. That land is movie themed so it should sense to put it somewhere in that land
But no ride has ever been mentioned. And a land with a ride would never fit anywhere in Hollywood section. The show bldg for flight of passage is massive. And the word "Experience" is close to confirming a walk through attraction only. Like Singapore. And DCA getting a "Flight of passage" like ride at MCU land. @@jamesgeorgi6627
15:45 Where would the Pandora Experience go? I feel it could go where Kids playland is next to hotel, across from Rapids. However, I love that attraction. Though it is a prime slice of real-estate. Also, could go to right of PHILHARMAGIC where Millionaire used to be. Remove that bldg and huge piece of land. Where do you think Avatar will go at DCA?
Avatar is beautiful But it’s seriously lacking another attraction. Navi river is beautiful but weak and kinda boring The shaman is amazing Flight of passage is great It needs one more E ticket attraction.
This gives new meaning to the phrase “News briefs.“
If you're that upset at security you don't belong in Disney.
How does an attraction based on another PLANET, fit into the CALIFORNIA theme of DCA? Makes no sense thematically.
I can’t imagine a grown adult throwing a tantrum, and underwear.
It’s Disney world what do you expect 😂😂
Sadly, I can expect that from Disney adults.
I never thought I would see an adult have a full on temper tantrum but since working at Disney I've seen so many adults just come unhinged
