My buns were a surprise gift, so I couldn’t research but, when I started watching you, it literally, helped EVERYTHING. Thanks! You are the bunny queen.😊❤
We use a Bumbox, but carefresh was just getting so expensive and since our buns feet never touch the actual litter because of the grate, we switched to wood pellets. It's so much cheaper. We get a 40 pound bag for 7 bucks from tractor supply and we've saved so much!
I've actually been tempted to get the petlibro feeder that works with Alexa for freaking ever... until recently when I saw a video post on reddit by someone who got an auto feeder for their bunnies. Once the bunnies discovered there's pellets in it, they absolutely demolished the thing trying to get the food out XD Like they were tipping it over and knocking it around and everything. I'd actually like to add another product that I've found to be a game changer with bunnies and that has been Aerogardens. I live in an apartment with no outdoor gardening space and Aerogardens have allowed me to start growing fresh herbs and lettuces for my bunnies. Fresh hydroponically grown lettuce, while it will never save me money, eliminates the worry of every unknowingly giving my rabbits E. Coli infected lettuce. Plus I can tell they just enjoy the fresh lettuce so much more than supermarket lettuce that is hit or miss in quality. It also allows me to grow varieties that may not be available at the store. Also it allows me to grow herbs, and that is where you see a lot of savings. Cilantro may be pretty cheap, but dill and basil can get expensive fast. Obviously Aerogardens aren't the only big name in hydro gardening, but its the one I went with. The model I'd recommend the most highly is the Bounty; it gives lots of grow space and height without being very cumbersome to maintain.
I have the PetLibro automatic feeder for my bunnies and it’s amazing! I can easily control the amount of food and I have it set to give them small amounts throughout the day that adds up to their full daily amount so that they can enjoy little treats throughout the day. It is also cordless which is awesome and I find that the battery last quite a long time! It has been a game changer
Our litterbox life hacks, time tested with two larger rabbits and recommended by a very well respected rabbit veterinarian: Ditch the wee wee pads. We used to use one with carbon for odor elimination at the bottom of each box. The rabbits didn't eat it but one vet said they can start nibbing on it at any time in the future, though another rabbit expert said if they did, it would pass right through them. We stopped using it altogether regardless. What do we use? No lining. Shredded paper (Small Pet Select) as a layer on the bottom of the box. The vet recommended pine pellets, but the scent made it smell like we were living in a lumberyard and I think the rabbit prefer the soft paper. The paper is great. Do away with the hay feeders, bags, cubbies, etc. On top of the paper (or pellets) in the litterbox spread a layer of hay. Across the whole litter box, totally covering the paper/pellets. This is food in abundance for the rabbit and makes maintaining the box easy. Cease the daily littlebox changes. The vet said don't do it (!). We used to do it every other day. The vet said every third day is best, and it is. The paper layer in the box wicks away urine under the hay layer and the whole box dumps out easily into a trash bag. We freshen the hay a couple of times day by simply adding a handful or two of new hay on top of any poop or thin spots in the box. It's a good opportunity to try a different kind of hay than the base layer of Timothy. The rabbits have no trouble picking out the unsoiled hay for food and there's always enough for occasional grazing all day and night. We use Small Pet Select second cutting Timothy has a base and often freshen the boxes with orchard grass, meadow grass, oat hay or something else. Lastly, the boxes are washed in the sink with hot water each time they're changed. If there are any sticky or shiny spots (rare), the boxes get a five minute vinegar soak before a thorough rince and dry. We used to use layers of puppy pads. wee wee pads, and newspaper around and beneath the little boxes too. That's gone. The washale velvety 4' x 6' puppy pad is stil in place to protect the carpet, but the rest is gone. The vet recommended very cheap "underpad runners," and we might try these $5 pads when the $35 grey rubberized velvet pads give up the ghost. We've gotten litterbox changes down to about 15 minutes for the two boxes every three days. The rabbits are happy, which is most important, and we have more time to spend with them instead of cleaning up after them.
@@Bunni504 Bags and similar are targets for chewing. Also, they take more time to fill and service than just a layer of hay in the litterbox. Also, hay in the litterbox covers poop and the paper layer beneath and can even allow poop to fall between hay strands, out of sight. It took a bit of convincing until we tried this setup, but the vet was right. The rabbits are happy and well fed, with clean feet and hocks, and the litterboxes are easier to service.
I do the exact same actually. I use small wood shaving instead of the paper, but other than that it is exactly the same. The wood shaving do not smell like wood or anything, but they do keep the smell at bay and everything dried. I clean the whole box every 3-4 days. Having a bag underneath would make the emptying a bit faster maybe, but then as you said there could be the risk of eating it and the way it is now is totally fine. Less waste in the world and cheaper too.
I looked into the BumBox 1 year ago, but they were not available in Europe and I feel they are small (even with the big one my girl wouldn't fit). So I got something similiar yet different: a large cat litterbox with grid where the pee goes through (i.e. PeeWee). The poo does not, but that's not really a problem. No more yellowish feet (or eating the paper/wood grit). Yes, the Ring camera's are nice :) I got the doorbell and few camera's way before I had rabbits, but those loose camera's soon found their way to the rabbit den :) It is a good way to keep an eye out.
Hi I got a rabbit for Christmas named chestnut. He looks just like Cinnabon and I need some help. I’m literally training him. I’ve watched all your videos three times in a row. I’ve watched everything I could find and he’s just not to pick it up and so I need some tips.
I hope they can make a larger version of bumbox to fit 2 or three rabbits. I have two rabbits and planning to add one more and the bumbox I have is a bit tight for my two Netherland dwarfs.
ooh that is so handy indeed perfekt cover easy to emty literbox bag to bad they are making it ileagel to use those kind of literboxes here no mather the material.thank you for the tip whit camera i am thinking of geting one soon been thinking awhile i should. yes jars, bags anything that makes a sound and they are coming running so true. /stay hoppy.
So the liner is like a trash bag. It is visibly showing on the exterior. Wouldn’t that be bad if the bunny decides to nibble on that plastic? But then I guess you could say the same about the plastic litter box
I know they're the sponsor, but every time I tried to but their litter box in EU they're sold out 😂 So I just bought Savic litter box with grid, it's way different, but still good. And I don't use liners, they're unnecessary for me personally, my bun doesn't touch litter box pellets anyway because of the grid, so I can use bigger ones, like the ones made from straw I usually use. Finding biodegradable liners in my country would be mission impossible, I don't want to make any more trash that I have to. I just wash whole litter box with warm water and citric acid every few days, and throw away any poop or parts of hay that my bunny threw there (and he won't eat ones that touched litter box) below the grid every evening and sometimes morning, so it stays cleaner. And with the jar, it doesn't work with him, I could shake treats for hours and he just doesn't care. He will come if he decides that he wants food. Can you tell he's a spoiled fluff that always gets what he wants? 😂 So I have to go to my bedroom and have a talk with him, usually for at least 5 minutes, but the thing that works the best is saying 'I would have to hold you and move you by force', and he hates being held. Not that I do it, I just say it, he's smart, he knows exactly what I mean.
I’m not trying to offend you, and I don’t want this comment to be mean or anything, but we had these bags for the litter box where you just pull up in Australia for like 7-10 bucks since like, 2022.
Hii, i would like to know, id like to ask a question, from a very basic chick, whats the life expectancy of bunnies! Thank you for replying to this comment if ever :>
Hey, Morgan, thank you for all your knowledge you've given bunny owners. You deserve so much more, so im here to say the Lord can provide that! You can repent your sins now and get saved. He will do so much for you and Cinnabun. He truly cares about each and every one of us, even sent his only son, Jesus, to die for our sins! I'm not trying to force my religion on you, but Jesus loves you and is waiting for each and every one of us to repent. If you ever decide to come around, just know it is never too late!

I love this channel! You should try the bun box from Lennon the bunny and give your feed back on it!
I love the idea of the automatic feeder when you’re away!! I couldn’t do it regularly since one of my buns likes to steal food 😭
Would love a bumbox that’s bigger like triple that size and stainless steel so less odor . Then I’d be sold
Use the hopscotch litter try for travel but use the Hop litter box for home 😉💜
I love your channel so much.

I put Cat litter box liners in case the puppy pad is moved or torn apart

Hello!! I was wondering if you have the standard or deluxe bumbox??
I just got a bum box yesterday
How often should you change a rabbit litter box?
Everyday
@@ellenschmitt6668 everyday can i ask why that often?
well the litter boxes can get messy quickly and can leave a smell also the littler\pee pad can only absorb a certain amount of liquid
I'm not sure you have to clean it everyday depending on the state of the litterbox im not so sure i just clean it everyday with my rabbits
