Every mall has a food court. It may not get alot of use this late in the season but I think as a back up plan for an empty floor it would be a cool idea.

I love that your base incorporates some more organic elements (water and greenery) which I think are more symbolic of elves, and Gem is incorporating more stone, which is more symbolic of the dwarves. It shows this really nice harmony between your bases.

Impulse you should make a skulk Sensor for the elevator. X did this and it is much nicer because he just walks in to the elevator and it switches the block
For I-buy, I suggest trying to make deals with the biggest / most used shops XD maybe ask them to set up bulk or back up stock; a secondary log shop might be useful, wood is always needed.... Maybe ask pearl to set up small trash bins or a small recycling center? Or see about getting some kinda TCG store? Plus, for the shops with two locations, maybe you can find a way to inform hermits, like, "Out of stock? Check our second location [here]!"... A second plant shop, especially for moss and leaves, might also be a good idea.
If you guys wanted to play TCG in later Hermitcraft seasons you could probably create a datapack that lets you put the art Beef made onto more easily replicatable blocks. He's already done all the pixel art this season, so there's no need to re-do it ALL in a later season unless he wanted to add a card expansion because a new Hermit joined or an old Hermit returned.
Xisuma recently made a elevator to his storage room like you did! However he used silent skulk sensors to detect what floor he was on rather than have a button, I think you should ask him and see about installing it in your storage room since it would be super convenient to use!

one thing I love about minecraft is how everyone's build style is unique, I mean, if you had 100 people design a room with the same size, block pallete, and purpose, they would all look very unique

I feel like the store needs to have an open center where you can see down to the bottom. It would make each floor feel open and more connected to the rest of the structure. Right now each floor is walled off and feels inaccessible. Opening up the center would create space and make it feel grand and majestic.
Phenomenal episode! I want to tell you that the copper entrance to your keep should totally blend into the cyan interior a little more! It's a very abrupt difference in color. I think the change would suit the keep nicely!
You can move Gem's statue to the spot where the storage room stairs used to be! That'd be a cool way to preserve her prank. And maybe make a Pearl one too for the soup group? Speaking of Pearl... You could get her to install a dumpster behind your storage sorting for all the "junk" you might toss.
Meanwhile here I am still using the old school Impulse storage system. Simple, reliable, easy to build. Interesting to watch you go through all this work for these systems that break while I'm just using the one you started with years ago, without encountering any problems.
I love these kinda chill building and redstoning eps. The shenanigans on HC can be great fun, but sometimes it's nice to just sit back and watch some good old fashioned Minecrafting happen.
Me and my friend are working on sorters that we think are the best in the game. 4 wings. 160 chests per wing, 80 per floor, so 4 bays across from 4 bays with a second floor identical. 640 chests in total You have the chests but you actually put the second chests staggered so it’s easier to open. You then build the regular sorter but you want to go higher on the hoppers. First floor should be like 4 hoppers up, the second floor should be like 7 hoppers up from the chest. We have water conveyor belts running through the system but the coolest part is the shulker unloader. The shulker unloader starts from say the middle and the down line is a 1 by 1 redstone torch on top of another etc until you get down to a ducked off spot to make a switch then follow it up with a 2 by 1 on the up line. The shulker box unloader connects to the water elevators and sorts down through the coveyors. Say your sorting items and the item is in the last wing, that item goes through 8 total water elevators and countless conveyors to then sort into the chest on its own
You could sell/rent out Lapis/Enchanting set ups. Have a stall at the center for lapis and several Enchanting set ups scattered throughout the floor. The floor design is giving me library vibes.
Now that the stairs are gone, those bit's look like they'd be a pathway that wraps around the center hole, with maybe some new rooms in the "corners". Dont get me wrong, it looks great now, just think it might be a fun future project
the top of the water elevator into your storage system needs a ring of lighter slabs so its easier to tell where it is without needing to stare at the ground as you walk. If you fit it into a small pattern or design, it might not look out of place in the process
I think a TCG arena at the top is a pretty cool idea. That concept kinda reminds me of the Memphis pyramid where they have The Bass Pro Shop which has a restaurant on the top floor. I mean... What else are you gonna put up there? That building is huge.
I'm jealous of java sorting systems. I'm working on a bedrock design with 8x hopper speed unloading and non stack filtering . Shulkers get auto unloaded with two 8x shulker unloaders plus non stack filtering, then 4x speed bulk storage before 4x speed item categorizer. Just got to get the categorizer break proof!
On having the TCG after the end of the season, I think you should save the cards you have and transport to the next season. Even if Beef stops making cards, it would be something interesting to see being played from time to time.
In the spaces where the stairs to the storage were, you could make some dwarven statues like you have outside as decoration. Just an idea I had while watching :)
For the TCG, it would be slick if there was a copy of the world download that Xisuma reset all of the chunks except for the TCG map making area and everyone built their own arena. Since it wouldn't be the official hermitcraft survival world, it could be switched to creative so that whoever already has one built could copy and paste theirs and whoever wants to build one wouldn't need to grind for materials. It'd be a way smaller world download file and a fun way for people who want to play the TCG to do so.
Idea01: I've been wanting to see a corner based TCG Arena for a while. So it'll be cool if your 7th floor could have 2 arenas at opposite corners. Idea02: Where the stairs used to be I'm thinking you can put the Zedaph trophy on once side and some other fun item opposite that? Not sure if you noticed it but the trophy is at the bottom of the stairs showing up at 9:00.
Maybe put like a tribute to all the games created in this hermitcraft on one of the floors like TCG, Total Chaos, Decked Out, and others. Even a spot for all the crazy achievements Zed done.

You could even set yourself up as it's gym leader like Cubfan did, only theme it after your willy wonka skin or maybe yourself as a ruthless but massively successful billionaire like Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh, Even if you don't make it a gym it would be soo cool watching hermits climb the water elevator to face off in Duels in the Penhouse Area! I'm excited just thinking of it!
In my opinion a pressure plate for your elevator out of sorting system would be preferable, but if you like the button more that's perfectly fine, just giving an option my dude. Keep making awesome videos

One thing, you can put hoppers under the chest going into the shulkers around the edge to make a auto, fast shulker loader
