I was originally asking because I was thinking "how do they expect a motor to drive this.." but it makes more sense that it would be a pressure-based force rather than converting some sort of rotary motion to linear motion. I'm trying to open the slots of a Kliklok box to make a low cost jig. It would be for farmers to use when they assemble the paper produce containers I've created to replace plastic clamshells. Robot Gripper 7, 9 and 2 would work, I just wouldn't need the arms part squeezing something together, just the top half moving outward. Which of these designs would create the strongest outward force and last the longest? In Robot 2, would a spring loaded mechanism like that of a self-inking stamp work to drive the shaft down under that purple cap?
