Hi Paddy, Phatthalung is my wife's home town. I have been there many times over the years and you hardly see any foreigners. Her parents home is a 15 - 20 mns drive West, in the direction of Trang, just before you start driving through the mountain range (another great road to drive - popular with bikers). There is a cool cave temple called Wat Sumano, a 5mns drive up the road beyond her Folks' home. If you haven't had a chance to visit it, I'd recommend it. There is also a zoo, as you get into the mountain range and they have a breeding program for some of the amazing animals in their collection. They all seemed to have very decent enclosures with lots of space. You already know about all the waterfalls and Tale Noi, lake with all the bird life and water lillies. There is a big Tesco Lotus outside the city in case you need to stock up on some supplies for your trip. All the best on your on-going travels and if they are put on hold for a while, we all look forward to seeing you again on RUclips. Cheers, Sebastian (from Scotland but currently in Bangkok since December).
Nice one Paddy ! Beautifully shot and hilariously narrated. Mark Wiens did the breaking dawn version of this you mentioned on his second channel a few weeks ago which was absolutely epic as you suggested it might be Paddy, but of the two I genuinely enjoyed youra more. First of all Mark Wiens perma grin, eyes like he's on Yabba and toxic positivity isn't for everyone. I usually feel like topping myself after a MW video - I'm British - we don't do constantly happy/ happy much at all. So you're presentation where you show the real side of all this Instagram perfect life stuff - i.e that sometimes it really isn't - is refreshing. Secondly Mark never once mentioned the flying lotus chickens or the aquatic water buffalo - your narration wins hands down!
I used to watch The Budgeteers, then I randomly found your channel and I started at tbe beginning and am binge watching all your vlogs. You truly are 'Next Level' vlogging with a brilliant personality.
Paddy the lake was EPIC! The sea of flowers was off the chain!! So Amazing! Wonderful job filming and incorporating your drone footage. You stepped up to whole another level!! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your project! Take care and stay healthy! Cheers!!
Wow!!! Great video, Amazing nature!! That lake feels almost like a spiritual experience. So beautiful and peaceful. Paddy don’t get yourself burned out. It’s a once in a lifetime experience if you need a break just kick back and take some time to recharge 🌸
Shout out to Budgeteers Season 1! Great memories for many of your followers like me too, Paddy! But those Lillys with pink flowers..stunning! Some of the best drone footage you have ever done. Bravo! 😎
Wauw wauw wauw, this was a beautiful trip again 👍👍👍 Hey Paddy, your videos are never too long. Your videos are always entertaining and very well made. I look forward to the next one. Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
I think during certain period of the year, I believe the lake could be even more beautiful when the flowers fully blossom. This video certainly on the next level.

Probably a dumb question, but have you been to Ko Phi Phi already? I was on Ko Lanta a few years ago, then went from there to Phi Phi and it was one of those places that exceeded the hype. Definitely my favorite Thai island in terms of its beaches, jungle and overall beauty. The only problem with it is that it's so popular. But since that won't be a problem now it might be an awesome time to experience it.
I cant wait to watch this on my lunch today. Every notification of a new vid just pumps me the fook up💪 I love Thailand, and since I can’t be there rn, this series is the next best thing
OMG..just how frickin‘ beautiful is this lake in Phattalung?! Out of this world. So stunning. Thanks for capturing it in such detail. Ugh, I‘m in love.

Loving it Paddy. Am so glad you are chilling now. I have wanted to say for a while there is no point feeling burnt out. You are your own boss! Travelling solo is also about the inner journey too. You know this x
Really great cinematography and story-telling in this one, Paddy. Well done! Can't wait to see your experiences in Koh Lanta! (Fingers crossed for unhindered travel in the weeks ahead)
Because of your videos i did some research on Thailand.. Every region basically has a different culture and language. Southern Thailand is all Malays, Central Thailand is ethnic Thais, Northeastern Thailand is Isan/Lao people, and Northern Thailand is an offshoot of the Thai people. So cool.
Not the southern region, it is Siam too, especially Buddhists. There are more Buddhists in the South than Muslims Isan also has other tribes, not just Laos. Just use the Lao culture. Which Lao is also classified in the Taikadai language group .
