Dr. Cywes(CarbAddictionDr), a bariatric surgeon, has a video about why calories don't matter and several more why carbs don't matter. TL;DR go watch a few of his videos and it'll all make sense. We've been misled by doctors for decades, whether unintentionally or deliberately. Knowledge is power. Truth has no agenda. Peace. Humans are made to burn fat for fuel. Our liver produces glucose after breaking down protein and fats. We don't need to eat added sugar/starches, in any form. Eat meat and/or eggs slowly when you're hungry and until you can't eat another bite , sea salt to taste, don't drink "calories" and only drink when you're thirsty. Intermittent fast until you're hungry again, probably 16hrs or more since fat n protein is more nutrient dense than carbs. Fat satisfies your leptin hormones quickly, so you fill up faster by eating less. That creates a dichotomy about "calories", but your body goes off chemical signals, not calories. So, yes, you will reduce "calories", but they're just an arbitrary figure that came about in the 50s iirc, to broadly provide an estimate on how much people should eat. However, a couch potato doesn't require as much food to be satiated compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger. He ate pounds of meat and dozens of eggs each day, and probably bench pressed bulldozers to become Mr. Olympia. That said, keep your TOTAL carbs under 10g/day, preferably as close to zero as you can, lift weights that are heavy for you, and enjoy improved health across the board. Peace.
You can still go to Baskin & Robbins. Just go after you eat a healthy lunch with protein, fibrous vegetables and healthy carbs. In that way you give your body what it needs and your mind what it wants. You will find out that you will eat not that much ice cream or it would not be that important after a healthy meal. But have it occasionally and enjoy it!
As someone that reads loads of educational books specifically focused on nutrition. This was surprising. You're actually trying to help people, and not hurt them. And I even learned from this!
I'm 14 and due to being on alot of antidepressants at an early age and an unhealthy diet, im 250 pounds at my age. But thanks to the fact that I'm pumped up to lose weight, and for these videos and the help of my mom, I'm determined to get down to 190. So far I've lost 20 pounds, and I'm struggling with my diet but I'm making grave changes and starting sports. Just keep going dudes, even at the hardest of times you gotta stay focused and remember food is really only a temporary feeling that'll ruin you later on Update : I just hit my last goal and now weigh 198 pounds!! My next goal is to get to 180 but the ultimate final boss goal is to get to 150 pounds before my birthday on October, aka in 5 months from now. If I keep up my diet and exercise literally every day ill get there on time or even earlier. But I swear to God even if my metabolism has gotten faster I still gotta eat the minimum and lose 600 calories at the gym to lose weight overnight 🥲 anyways good luck to me I guess Update : just hit 190 pounds 👊👊 Update : just hit 177 9 month update : I posted this comment nine months ago. This day I am weighing 175, though it's nightime and since I lose weight overnight I'm sure I'll reach my goal of 174 tommorrow morning. Wow man I can't believe how far I've gotten. I never realized how obese I was until just now, ironically enough. I see pictures of how I looked back when I weighed 250 and I can't believe it because I could've sworn I wasn't that obese. My gym activity has also improved. I can run faster for longer, I can last up to a full hour without breaks on an intense workout, I've started sparring and my boxing had gotten better, and I can burn up to 800 calories at the gym in Under an hour. Despite all this I'm still not done. I'm still a little chubby, my body is far from perfect and I'm nowhere near hitting my prime. I've updated alot and it's really only because of the support from yall. Anyways, my next and last update will only be once I've reached my goal of 150 lbs. Can't believe that would ever be possible. Even after losing 75 pounds, I still can't believe I'd reach 150. My life has changed because I decided to set food aside one day, and I maintained that for more than a year. Now in exactly 8 months I'll be able to start high school as a completely different person. See you guys next time
Aw congrats!! That's amazing bro. Sports are legit fun, I'm glad you're at a place you get to enjoy them. Anti pyschs and deps are rough, but you got this!!! 🤘🤘🤘
My first step to losing weight started by simply not drinking my calories. I then started tracking and later implemented intermittent and eventually evolved into a Keto and Mediterranean Diet. I've lost nearly 70lbs and kept it off for 3 years 😊
Way to go Nick!!...My journey is similar in many respects. I started going lower carb and cutting out dessert and calorie drinks. I do resistance training and HIIT sessions and evolved to Intermittent fasting and a Ketogenic diet. Have lost 14lbs in 6 weeks while gaining muscle mass including no loss of strength. Cheers!!!
@@bryamvasquez3057 intermittent fasting was a game changer for me. I realized I was eating out of boredom or a habit and I wasn't really hungry. With intermittent fasting I ate in windows that were easier to manage and track my meals and furthermore I actually ate well when I ate. I really enjoyed my meals. Give it a try and see how it works. Look up Dr Ekberg, he is my favorite when it comes to this subject.
Same, it made me realize on how to be careful based on what I eat and last month, I noticed I've been eating unhealthily for more than 2 years. Thanks to this channel, I'm now avoiding late-night snack intake
Whenever I need new workouts exercises, Dietary questions or just tips and tricks to look better and feel better. I immediately come to this channel. I have no idea what my life would be like without you Max. Thanks legend for making my life better.
Your videos are phenomenal man. Thank you for not pushing keto and high protein, this is the fastest that I have subbed to a channel. I have severe hormone issues and my diet personality is mediterranean food. My body responds well to this.
Full disclosure: I just started the video as I type this. But when he said "how much you're eating," yeah. That's like 90% of weight loss. I've started full-blown effort towards weight loss again, and I've only been allowing myself about 300 calories a day. To anyone who might say "that's extreme," I'm over 300lbs. I NEED extreme to lose this weight. The past five days now, I've been walking to my local gym. It's about 1.5 miles each way. First couple days, I walked two miles in the gym, then walked home. Next two days, three miles once I get there. Today, I pushed for 3.5. I want to be able to jog, and run eventually. I have to start now to get there. I'mma get back to the video, but to anyone who needs motivation, know that you've got this!
Eat one meal a day and only eat 6 days a week for the rest of your life; this is the lifestyle I live by; I’m one of the healthiest people you’ve met and your welcome for the advice
When I started working out, my two main mistakes were lack of sleep and not eating enough (not being in a caloric surplus). I always thought I was eating enough and was disappointed because my weight stagnated. Then I got my first diet plan created (I think it was from website dietarize). I realised that my previous food intake was way below my needs, although I thought I'm good. At the beginning it was hard to eat 3500 kcal in a day, but I got used to it. I started noticing real gains, and it felt amazing.
@@mustaphasol3069 If you don't sleep enough (7-8 hours/day) your body will be stressed out and will cause: Diminished protein synthesis (you build less muscle), increased Ghrelin response (you will be hungrier and prone to eat bad things for you) and you will be craving tons of sugar just to keep your brain awake. Also, with little sleep you won't generate enough Human Growth Hormone while you sleep. So make sure you sleep enough!
I’m 6’2 i was 100 kg (220 pounds) i dropped 20 kg (45 pounds) i’m pretty lean now have great amount of muscle and low fat i can almost see my abs i now started training them i got this in about 4-5 months of strict diet no cheat meals and 4x cardio in a week + weight training My biggest tip is if you have lack of control cancel out cheat meals, last year i failed my diet because of my lack of control my cheat meal turned into cheat days, cheat days turned into a cheat week all up to a year, sleep 8-10 hours, eating your bigger meal in the morning drinking a lot of water or low calorie drinks, chewing gum, lifting weights, higher protein intake, eating all the healthy food and be in a calorie deficit if you want to lose weight, also make realistic goals for yourself, everything depends on lifestyle, what you eat, daily activity, your metabolism, genetics and more
Thanks for the advice man, I was 6’1 lost 26 pounds in 5 months and grew muscle mass. I look lean on top but still got a muffin top stomach. I kept my diet the same with unhealthy food, if I would have changed it I would have done better. I’m starting now. I’m still 16 so I got a high metabolism
@@MatthewStark235 that’s really great to hear 26 pounds is good in 5 months and you got muscle gain, but remember losing too much weight in low time can cause sometimes muscle loss too
I remember the feeling when I, streaching my skin, Saw my abs for the first time... I still have a generous amount of fat, but its slowly decreasing. One funny thing is that I used to have really big man-boobs when I was fat. Not because I was obese, but I stored a lot of fat there for some reason. I was allways embarassed by that. My entire wardrobe was defined by that issue. And I was extremly unconfortable. But after a year hiting the gym (low intensity), my pecs started to grow (its the group of muscles I had the hardest time to make them grow. But now, I don't feel embarassed by it anymore, despite the Touch of my cloths still making me unconfortable because I grew up a fat kid with self image issues. But when Im alone I'm allways bouncing them or just Flex them to feel the muscle. When I do it i feel so much better about myself and it's great.
@Michaela Kanova what's less then a calorie deficit? Starvation? Fasting a calorie deficit is anything less then your body burns on a daily basis the 2000 calories most people throw out there is just an example... because the average person of average size will burn about 2000 calories daily just by normal activity....
One of the best videos that I have come across in my search for how to lose fat while gaining muscle. I had a muscle pull in my left leg and got bedridden and only able to walk using a walker. At the same time I am having muscle atrophy in my left leg and am heavily overweight with lots of fat around the love handles and mid section. I need to lose that extra weight as well as regain muscle mass in my left leg. This video will help me a lot. Thanks Max
Can I suggest you look into Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting (IF). Dr. Berg is where to look on you tube, there are other doctors who you will find. This bloke thinks the body is a machine, it isn't, Insulin is what causes weight gain. Taken me 4 years but lost 60 kilos, only 5kg to hit 80kg target weight. I had diabetes and now my blood sugar fallen to around 75 to 80. Healthy Keto and IF is the way to go if you want to lose weight. Good luck to you.
@@richiebrahh So much this ... walking is amazing. I'm someone who was morbidly obese (down 40lbs), and the only cardio I did was walking. I mean, I would rather do an hour of walking a day, than some obnoxious high fat burning HITT routine that so many people say will "shred fat fast!!" but I absolutely detest. It's just not necessary. Just walk, and watch what you eat.
Praise the Lord. Someone FINALLY mentions portion control ! The beacon of rationality always goes unacknowledged because it is way too simple. Complexity is the enemy of reliability and enthusiasm. Keep them coming, brother!
Fasting is they key. I lost 40kg in about 5 months by doing OMAD. I also did integrate walking minimum 11k steps everyday I haven't missed a day till this moment and also gym 5 times a week.I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to loss weight to be on a more than 2 meal diet a day.
I love these videos, I have been watching them for a long time, I have lost around 25 pounds of fat and increased my muscle as never before. Even though some advice sound repetitive, I always learn something new in this channel. Thank you, my body appreciates it haha 😁
my weight loss was simple. Skipped breakfast and lunch and had a feast in the evening, did a bunch of boxing style cardio and ate enough protein while weight training moderately. I went from 20 percent body fat to 13 percent and my goal is 12 percent
@The D.I.Y Girl hey great question. Essentially I at small sized protein filled snacks throughout the evening. The first evening meal was strictly meat, beef turkey or chicken, mixed with vegetables. than throughout the evening i would have bite sized protein snacks and one final shake at the end of it all
To maintain weight, my rule of thumb is to not eat past 7 pm and before 7 am. To lose weight my rule of thumb is to eat a very light dinner, high in protein. Breakfast and lunch can be bigger meals.
Love this channel, so far I've been losing 2 to 3 lbs a week and I feel more energetic due to better food choices. I've been meal prepping, eating whole foods and teaching my calories and I couldn't have done it without the advice I got from this channel. Keep up the great work.
Is there any way that i can subscribe to this channel multiple times? He is the only guy in youtube that not only know his stuff but also know how to deliver them. They guy is something else
I just can't stop drinking Coke. I tried so hard and even tried the "If you don't drink it for 2-3 weeks, you will stop wanting it". It just didn't work. Weirdest part was that I had NO idea that there is Pepsi Max, Coca Cola Zero and other Cokes with no sugar in it. I lost so much weight just from that that it's insane. It is less tasty than normal Cokes but it is at least 90% as good. I am happy.
Ive just started dieting again and going to the gym. I had moved and went through hard times after catching covid. Step 1 for me is always go cut out all drinks other then water and unsweet tea (caffine addiction), as well as all fast food and junk food. Step 2 after cooking semi healthy for a week I begin counting macros and really focusing on calorie deficit. Ive been going good as of now and mentally just feel better. This video really does help me feel a little less lost in all of it. Thanks.
People stressing about tiny diet details are one of the silliest things. This is good advice…just start with the basics and If you get to an elite level you can worry about the other stuff.
Somewhere on RUclips a dietician for the US Navy was interviewed and he said that there’s an order of importance for staying healthy and optimal. He said sleep is number 1, eating is number 2, and then exercise for number 3. He said sleep is the most important to focus on.
Protein is the only key. It took me 10 years to figure it out and once u know confirming a lot of protein gets you everything and your gym bod which you start to improve with results you see
Great info and well done! I lost 70 pounds in the last year and gained 8 pounds of muscle mass and I'm still trying to make a few more gains but I've never NOT been fat my entire life. Most people don't recognize me at first glance even some close friends. I've never felt better or looked better but most of what I did goes 100% with your advice. If your starting out, don't make it complicated. You eat 2-300 calories less then you do normally, stop drinking calories ( pop, juice, high fructose corn syrup), and take a 20 min walk daily. You can work your way up to a gym maniac while loosing weight without the need to go full throttle and fizzle out in a couple of weeks. Its a marathon not a sprint.
I usally eat 2 meals a day, sometimes 3. I keep the sugar low most of the time, try not to eat to much fat( I know they say fat is good, some fat is good) and watch my carbs and I am doing good.
Thank you/nia:wen. I have been watching your videos and making progress again after weeks of stagnation. The information helps coalesce all the information I have previously learned. Now I can focus on what I felt I was doing correctly and not question myself.
Fan of ch, few points to make: 1. DO eat small meals every 4 hrs b/c ghrelin is produced &secreted on 4 hr sched 2. Timing is everything. *Obviously diff people react diff ways but as w/ any issue related to medical field, statements made by statistical means (pun intended ; 3. Perfectly balanced meal, macronutrient & composition thereof, are far diff if eaten at 6p than 11p
Good video!! Thank you. 😊 I've had to lose large amounts of weight multiple times in my life; 60-70lbs at a time. For dropping weight to make the Varsity basketball team in high-school, to having my 3 daughters. Through my journey in weight management, I've learned that the less I eat, the more I lose. Moreover, the more NURTIOUS foods I eat the less I need and/or want to eat. 🧘♀️ I have a sweet tooth, but I've learned that it tastes the same on the first bite as it does the tenth bite. Less is more.
Since I have eating problems (a lack of trying different foods and eating healthier choices) this has guided me towards eating more healthier and try better foods for you instead of eating toast 24/7 thank you.
I eat what the hell I like but do solid workouts for an hour to an hour half a day 5 days a week, being doing that for few years, I won't ever get that fully ripped body but it's kept me in fairly decent shape, life's too short to worry about eating cleanly 24/7
7am half cup egg whites. 9am protein yogurt. 11:30am chicken/rice. 4pm chicken or lean ground beef/rice. 6pm gym. 7:30pm double scoop whey shake. Works great for me comes out around 1700 calories a day. Also can substitute chicken or ground beef with salmon or steak and rice with sweet potatoes
Man, I just want you to know, that in the middle of Russia there is a guy that followed all of these advices, watched almost every single video on your chanel and his dream come true. Fat has gone, I'm really good, I like how I look like in the mirror. Thank you! Katyusha launch of likes!
I eat whatever the heck I want, I just stay within a certain amount of calories. Most days I try to burn anywhere between 150-200 a day but not much more unless I am over my calorie limit or get lost in my exercising. When I first started, though, I'd do fruit and water for lunch and then a TV dinner for my supper
True, i know dude who eats at Mickey Ds almost every day for breakfast and still lost 40 lbs, he just made sure he stayed within his caloric deficit. Honestly when you're obese it doesn't really matter what you're eating as long as you're watching your calories and moving a bit every day. Once you lose a few lbs then you can start cleaning up your diet little by little.
great vid......I am learning a lot from you. I will most likely check out your program and give it a shot. Are diet soda's a really bad thing??? or ok if in moderation?
Probably hands down the best when it comes to working out diets and losing weight and working out … EVERYTHING is broken down to a science with no 🐂💩 💯
Great video. As a full-time Uber/Lyft driver, I make it an important goal to go to the gym, however that is only half the battle in managing my weight. I am constantly checking my carb and protein intake to ensure I’m eating enough protein but not too much carbs. I loved your advice on drinking water because many people don’t realize how dehydrated they are, especially in the mornings. It’s important to eat fruits and vegetables and stay away from processed foods. I also take organic supplements too. Thanks for the tips!
I started at 263lbs 2.5 weeks ago now I'm at 249lbs 😎..... Yes it was hard to start but I did it.... I love hitting the gym daily and feel way lighter.... I literraly decided to loose weight asap out of nowhere.. So I started to eat healthy 1500-2000 calories, stopped drinking Alcahol for the meen time and drinking lots of water wich I already did... Plus I work in construction so I'm basically working out all day lol....BTW I have hardcore anxiety and derealization so I believe there is no excuse to not start
I weigh myself once per week on Sunday mornings. My weight goal is 60kg. If I weigh 60kg or less, I fast for 3 days (Thursday , Friday, and Saturday) during the week. However, if I weigh >60kg, I fast for 4 days (Wednesday to Saturday inclusive). On days I eat, I can eat anything I want from 07:00 to 19:00 and fast for the other 12 hours. I lost 22 kg three years ago and this diet plan enables me to keep the weight off. Finally, I'm vegan and never eat meat, eggs, or dairy.
This guys spits truth iv been on and off keto for years I typically use strict keto for fast weight loss but typically use it for 3-4 months max then cycle into a low carb high protien paleo diet. But exercise along with the diet is key watch your calories ect
Your videos are incredibly helpful. Not only do you present information with data backing it up in a way that is easy to understand, you do so in a way that shows us its possible.
My question is, what do recommend for someone that works graveyard shift and doesn’t get enough sleep (4-5 hours). Should I take naps during the day before I head to work.
Good stuff, enjoy your videos! I am 58 and in pretty good shape but have always carried an extra 40 or 50 pounds. I work hard and play hard but cannot seem to shed that extra stubborn weight. When I back off calories to be in deficit I lose energy to work out.
When I went to college I start having stress issues, and when I was a fit and active kid I developed a chewing relief mechanism. In the campus there were lots of machines selling food with very cheap chocolates that I became adicted to in order to releaf my constant stress. It started with One, then two, then 3, then 4. My portions in normal meals were also growing and I was making lots of mistakes, like eating Pasta 4times a week at dinner and before going to bed eating bread and butter. So, when I was 20 I started to put so much weigth, and really fast. I grew a gut a everything got larger. I went to the nutricionist when my CMI Said I was obese tipe I aproaching obese type II. After 5 years of changes and 2 years of gym Im almost back to my original body I told you my story because you probably Also thougth: " how was I able to carry aroud that belt of 60 pounds" when I carry some groceries, like watermelons.
It has taken me too long to start tracking my calories. I thought I was eating clean and that would help me lose weight with hitting the gym. But ever since I started tracking, I have been slowly reducing the size of my portions and slowly I am seeing weight loss. Now, there are fluctuations, obviously. But I am trying to keep my meals to ingredients that I can keep in my diet forever, eating healthy in a sustainable manner, but just with smaller portion sizes to provoke that calorie deficit. The pizza days are the hardest, but overall I am very happy. Haven't gone after a meal with an overfull belly in a while and it's amazing!!
I am 15 and weigh 175 at 5’5, i am working out everyday consistently and the diet is the hardest part. Today i only ate 825 calories… I DID NOT STARVE MYSELF, instead i just ate things with lower calories. I lost 5 pounds after starting almost a month ago… i know that i am burning fat and gaining muscle because i can see it in the mirror. This makes me very proud of myself because working out used to be very hard for me
basically its just eat more protein and be in a calorie deficit and drink more water. that's the whole video. i have been doing keto for 2 weeks now and im already down 8 pounds so yayyyyyyy
That’s what i do (minus keto, just not for me with how i react to very low carb vs performance etc) but yea i lost 10kg over 6 months by cutting out processed and sugary crap and eating low fat meats etc
you're right I was believing that eating fruits and vegetables can burn fat and it can lossing weight. I can't deny that eating healthy foods are good but if we eat on purpose like loosing weight we should consider about counting calories and do exercise
So glad I've always been a water person. I don't care for soda and stuff like that. And people I see who eat like me AND drink soda they're way bigger.
So true, all these diets like KETO say reduce carbs eat more saturates which is nuts to make up for calories. A Mediterranean keto diet worked well for me with 2 meals a day, but you still have to be in caloric deficit and/or burn calories from intense work outs to see fat loss.
Weight loss is incredibly simple. Forget about being in a calorie deficit, just look at your food choices. Whatever you're eating now, eat less junk and more foods that are high in protein and nutrients. Strongly bias your diet towards whole foods as they give the most nutrient content and satiety. Do this and the calories will take care of themselves, resulting in weight loss. Rinse and repeat. Plateau'd eating bacon? Switch to steak. Plateau'd eating steak? Go to fish. To elaborate: Fat and carbs are both energy sources, either one can make you fat. Protein is used structurally and gives massive satiety and your body SUCKS at using it for energy. Therefore, the greater the ratio of protein to carbs and fat, the more extreme the weight loss. Adjust for personal tolerances. Eat until you're full otherwise you will hate life and end up bingeing. If you're not losing weight while eating until you're full then you need to adjust food choices, not food quantity. Do resistance training! You can do it! The hardest part is giving up/limiting those delicious junk foods. My best advice for that is find low calorie substitutes (but keep in mind they're still junk, just less bad junk). Fruit and non-caloric sweetened beverages may be your best friend here as you can satisfy your sweet tooth and it's pretty much impossible to gain weight overdoing them. I personally love strawberries and raspberries because they have barely any carbs and are still sweet and delicious. Eating some junk food for a cheat day is OK but you have to figure out how much works for you without stalling our your weight loss. My problem is I can't have just one piece of cake, I have to eat the whole thing. The only solution was to give it up. I went from 20%+ body fat down to 10% body fat over the past year following these principles. If you want it, you can do it too!
You should look into anabolic recipes. There's a brownie recipe for example that's only around 230 kcal for the entire cake while still tasting delicious. As a volume eater, these kind of recipes are my saving grace as I can eat them until I'm filled to the brim.

Peace.
For me it’s Ben and Jerry’s 😂
Nice to see you using a lot of Bollywood Clips :-)
Dude you rock. Hitting the gym is no problem for me. Driving past Baskin&Robbins is the hardest part of my training.
Amen to that!! Love training, love sweet things 😆
Discipline is everything brother
You can still go to Baskin & Robbins. Just go after you eat a healthy lunch with protein, fibrous vegetables and healthy carbs. In that way you give your body what it needs and your mind what it wants. You will find out that you will eat not that much ice cream or it would not be that important after a healthy meal. But have it occasionally and enjoy it!
Bro there’s literally a baskin robins connected to the other side of my gym it’s tuff

Just keep going dudes, even at the hardest of times you gotta stay focused and remember food is really only a temporary feeling that'll ruin you later on
Update : I just hit my last goal and now weigh 198 pounds!! My next goal is to get to 180 but the ultimate final boss goal is to get to 150 pounds before my birthday on October, aka in 5 months from now. If I keep up my diet and exercise literally every day ill get there on time or even earlier. But I swear to God even if my metabolism has gotten faster I still gotta eat the minimum and lose 600 calories at the gym to lose weight overnight 🥲 anyways good luck to me I guess
Update : just hit 190 pounds 👊👊
Update : just hit 177
9 month update : I posted this comment nine months ago. See you guys next time
Hitting the gym is more enjoyable than eating a greasy pizza
Aw congrats!! That's amazing bro. Sports are legit fun, I'm glad you're at a place you get to enjoy them. Anti pyschs and deps are rough, but you got this!!! 🤘🤘🤘

My first step to losing weight started by simply not drinking my calories. I then started tracking and later implemented intermittent and eventually evolved into a Keto and Mediterranean Diet. I've lost nearly 70lbs and kept it off for 3 years 😊
Congrats!!!!!
Cheers!!!

I think the right amount of minerals and vitamins make a big difference, as well.
@@Leo-mr1qz micronutrients and macrosnutrients are equally important for sure 👍🏻
Brother, what the impact of sleeping???
@@mustaphasol3069 If you don't sleep enough (7-8 hours/day) your body will be stressed out and will cause: Diminished protein synthesis (you build less muscle), increased Ghrelin response (you will be hungrier and prone to eat bad things for you) and you will be craving tons of sugar just to keep your brain awake. Also, with little sleep you won't generate enough Human Growth Hormone while you sleep. So make sure you sleep enough!
@@josearias5102 Thank you soo much brother,I will definitely try to sleep early
I’m 6’2 i was 100 kg (220 pounds) i dropped 20 kg (45 pounds) i’m pretty lean now have great amount of muscle and low fat i can almost see my abs i now started training them i got this in about 4-5 months of strict diet no cheat meals and 4x cardio in a week + weight training
My biggest tip is if you have lack of control cancel out cheat meals, last year i failed my diet because of my lack of control my cheat meal turned into cheat days, cheat days turned into a cheat week all up to a year, sleep 8-10 hours, eating your bigger meal in the morning drinking a lot of water or low calorie drinks, chewing gum, lifting weights, higher protein intake, eating all the healthy food and be in a calorie deficit if you want to lose weight, also make realistic goals for yourself, everything depends on lifestyle, what you eat, daily activity, your metabolism, genetics and more
Thanks for the advice man, I was 6’1 lost 26 pounds in 5 months and grew muscle mass.
I have a single cheat day on saturday, is that okay? I know that it helps me a lot with my diet
All you need to know in this 14-min video are: 2 key takeaways
1. Be in a calorie deficit.
2. Eat more protein.
That's all folks!
and drink water
For most..yup, simple as that GIVEN correct macronutrient split, timing, etc
What if I eat less than calorie deficit? I know thats unhelathy but I cant convince myself to eat more. Does it help to burn fat or to gain weight?

I also did integrate walking minimum 11k steps everyday I haven't missed a day till this moment and also gym 5 times a week.I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to loss weight to be on a more than 2 meal diet a day.

my weight loss was simple. Skipped breakfast and lunch and had a feast in the evening, did a bunch of boxing style cardio and ate enough protein while weight training moderately. I went from 20 percent body fat to 13 percent and my goal is 12 percent
Did you loose muscle?
@@varillas2549 No sir gained a pound of muscle and just maintained the rest
@@varillas2549 protein.. 1 gram per body weight
So were you able to get all the protein you needed in that one meal or did you supplement with protein shakes throughout the day?
@The D.I.Y Girl hey great question. Essentially I at small sized protein filled snacks throughout the evening. The first evening meal was strictly meat, beef turkey or chicken, mixed with vegetables. than throughout the evening i would have bite sized protein snacks and one final shake at the end of it all
To maintain weight, my rule of thumb is to not eat past 7 pm and before 7 am. To lose weight my rule of thumb is to eat a very light dinner, high in protein. Breakfast and lunch can be bigger meals.

Thanks.
You’re one reason I’m becoming a personal trainer! Love your videos!
People stressing about tiny diet details are one of the silliest things. This is good advice…just start with the basics and If you get to an elite level you can worry about the other stuff.
Thank you so much for clearing up 20+ years of information overload that often conflicted! It’s all clear now!
Somewhere on RUclips a dietician for the US Navy was interviewed and he said that there’s an order of importance for staying healthy and optimal. He said sleep is number 1, eating is number 2, and then exercise for number 3. He said sleep is the most important to focus on.
This was probably the most helpful and accurate piece of advice provided! I love your contact as you are well educated and researched. Thanks!
I’ve never understood why everyone tries to make it completely, it’s as simple as eat less then you burn. Appreciate you bro.
Protein is the only key. It took me 10 years to figure it out and once u know confirming a lot of protein gets you everything and your gym bod which you start to improve with results you see
Great video--so clear, practical, and direct and to the point. Keep it up!
Folks, I've been at it for a long time... I can tell you, everything he said, here, is dead on, correct.
Best explained I have read. Very thorough and detailed. Everyone who wants to lose fat without losing muscle should read this. Highly recommended.

I've had to lose large amounts of weight multiple times in my life; 60-70lbs at a time. For dropping weight to make the Varsity basketball team in high-school, to having my 3 daughters. Through my journey in weight management, I've learned that the less I eat, the more I lose. Moreover, the more NURTIOUS foods I eat the less I need and/or want to eat. 🧘♀️
I have a sweet tooth, but I've learned that it tastes the same on the first bite as it does the tenth bite. Less is more.
This dude is amazing so much information. Doesn't even charge for it... awesome! I'll be getting a corse soon to hold myself accountable.
So fasting, exercise walking /bike riding, lift weights, caloric deficit, eat sufficient protein, drink water and zero calories drinks.
I run 5km a day and eat normal diet and once in a month junk food. This works for me.

Go to fish.
To elaborate:
Fat and carbs are both energy sources, either one can make you fat.
@@JustSayRance never heard of that but I will look into it. I eat massive amounts, too.
💯
