After reading her book i can see how rushed and rehearsed and painful that “How much I miss my mom” was
1) Who’s hear after her book “ I’m glad my mom died” 2) How did I not know she had this good of a voice, like I heard snippets here and there and the cross over episode with Victorious, but she’s sooo good
She has SUCH good control of her voice for someone who isn’t formally trained (or at least it wasn’t mentioned in her book)
Right?!?!?! It stuns me how someone that didn't even want a musical career and apparently didn't have any singing lessons can sing SO well.

@@helpforallie6942 Her relationship with her mom was/is Very complicated. Of course she loved her mom. Her mom did bring her into the world, and in her own weird, twisted way, did try to provide for her. But it was beyond toxic. She tried to give Jennette the life she wanted for herself and had way too much control over her daughter's life.
Jennette loved her mom, but she knows that her dying was probably the best thing that could have happened to her. All the shit she went through was kept hidden until she choose to reveal it. If her mom hadn't died, Jennette would have most likely suffered a public breakdown or have died instead.
currently in the middle of the book - which is what brought me to this video bUT!!! she said that producers wrote the songs for her based on "her experience" being away from her mom (even tho she has literally never been away from her mom) (bc her mom is...... well.... read the book)
All the singles are about her mom... this said so much about it 😢

She has a lovely voice! She’s incredibly gifted and talented. Im reading her book and it just shows you never know what someone is going through.
She’s always been an incredible singer. I wish she would do music, but I’m happy she in a better mental place now.
