what's the device used to hold the internal frame packs to the brompton rack? I noticed the belt strap goes around the seat post (0:56)and appears the shoulder strap goes around some sort of bar (0:49). looks fairly secure (0:59-1:07)

Does anyone who is not sponsored really ride a Bromptons? Is anyone taller than 5'3" really comfortable on a Bromptons? Seems to be a sponsored bike for short people who fly on planes and tour for video clips.

Brompton uses user-generated content to advertise - they've been word of mouth advertising from the very beginning, 30-40yrs ago. They don't do a whole lot of original advertising, and it's only relatively recently they even started online advertising. There are lots of private Brompton riders who just love their bikes and do post them up, unsponsored. I can't tell how tall they are, but it takes 110kg, and someone with an inside leg length of 39"/99cm so it is a fair bit

The best bike is the one you have with you. I am 6ft tall, ride it most days local, routinely take it on airplanes as overseas baggage and carry on in the states. It slides right through the TSA x-ray machines like any other carry on. It goes on the bus long haul as baggage and with me local, in the over head rack on the train, and sometimes I mail it. The better bike is the one that doesn’t get stolen nor locked up, so it goes in the bathroom stall with me and neatly out of the way under my desk. The epitome of British cycle engineering and I am far better for it.

Hi can hand carry the Brompton by airplane?

I was curious to find out as well - apparently it could fit if you use a cover, but depends on the airline's policy if you can take it as hand luggage (more luck in USA than Europe it seems) - it's more likely to be in the hold, and you'll need a hard case to protect it from rough handling
