Most of my buddies had 250rs and raced back then just out of high school. Both wer ported, piped and high compression. Always a fan of the 2 stroke sport quads.
I miss my old Zilla Flat Tracker that was stolen ! It had a LCS cylinder punched .060 over and lot's of mods. At Boyd Raceway in 1994 they clocked us at 92mph coming out of turn 2 !
I love that quad because I had a electric all plastic one with the plastic tires when I was 7. It was like a powerwheels toy based off the LTR it even days Suzuki 500 on it.
sounds like it was running rich or trying to foul a plug but its probably just the big ole 500 cc,i had a 250R three wheeler that thing was bad ass,i tricked it out,stretched 4 inches too much to list,your riding my favorite kind of place,we used to race each other on some old dirt rds that went for miles and would hit the corners as fast as we could,on dirtbikes,quads 3 three wheelers oh man good times.the only thing i dont like is the color combo,i hate yellow and the blue could be a better shade,but i wouldnt change a thing,keep on riding man,ping ping ping
The fastest two stroke ATV ever made.. my brother had one looked just like it and had the same and pipe.. these would bust banshees asses.. lol.. we used to drag race them for money against the banshees and we would always win.. that's why they stopped making them so long ago
@@codybaldwin7253 u take a quad zilla 500 stock against a stock banshee and the banshee will be severely embarrassed.. I've race Mx for almost 12 yrs I kno.. banshee's are fast.. but the reason they stopped making the Suzuki 500 way back was bc it was to fast and people were getting hurt and killes
I love the Quadzilla 500 i had the same bike it was my Banshee killer most people didnt even know what it was its literally my favorite bike all performance was great the only thing that sucked was kick starting it on cold the kick back OMG but wow its a 100% badass . btw sold it for 6k because i all most killed my self but its all good .
I road a Air cooled RM 500 Quad in Secret Harbour ,Perth WA about 1986 I think.It was big & Basic.I liked the Water cooled RM 250 engine Quad much more.
Dont get me wrong I'm a Suzuki fan and the fact its a 500 is badass but still its fuuuuggglly!! The banshee and 250r look so much better. Only if they ever made a trx500r!
The 500 was an absolute animal but the had some reliability issues the engines would hand Granade without warning. But they had sick nasty power though.
Are they hard to tune? Or issues with the jetting? I never heard one run really clean... .. always sound like its detonating too. Dont get me wrong a 500cc 2 stroke on anything is great but just wondering.
These where some great motors but man the chassis sucked compared to today’s stuff! Now stick some Modern racing 450 shocks on that bad boy and modern tires, and it would be as fast as anything out there!

I gave a thumbs UP ! ....but i have to say...and you you guys know it im sure ....But this ZiLLA is sounding a bit sick ..a Little Lazy if you will. And if you didnt have those road race tires on it ....that it wouldnt come Up on the pipe at all. Now it aint gonna turn the rpm that Fukn AWESOME Kx250 you have does...but it should SnaP as Hard . It sounds to me that reed block is not working well ..possibly the power valve is sticking somewhat ...clutch is in need of some New Springs...

Big 2 stroke likes to be short shifted, even 300cc dirtbikes have the best torque at low to mid range.
