Oh honey you don’t ever have to worry about how much stitching you’ve done. The majority of us are moms and know the struggle ❤you take care of yourself and love on those babies.
Please don’t apologize for anything! You’re a mom and you are busy with your children and also working!! Give yourself some grace. Your sweater is beautiful. I am a knitter but fearful of colorworks so I have great admiration for all those who can do it so beautifully. Look forward to your next videon❤❤❤
I so enjoy your videos. Super excited to see your video on the kits. I had such bad experiences with kits in the early 80’s that once I picked up patterns+linen I have never thought of touching a kit again. I am always amazed at the amount of stitching/knitting you get finished. Family time trumps everything, everyone. There will be time to stitch a lot later!
Thank you! We have been enjoying the last bit of Amira’s summer vacation and it’s really just flew by. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of stitching time in the parent pickup line LOL.
So good to see you again. Love all the stitching, so pretty. Never apologize for how much stitching you have, there are no rules or guidelines. Your cardigan is really coming along, I have never done steaking, it freaks me out to think of cutting my knitting. Doing an afterthought heel was stressful enough. LOL 🌳
Thank you so much for spending some of your day with me! Lol the first time I cut up my knitting I was definitely worried it would all just fall apart 💀😂
Loved your video. Don’t ever apologize for not having very much stitching done. We all understand, kids and family always come first. When I started having kids and pretty much stopped stitching because I did not have time to sit and stitch. I love everything you are working on and your sweater you are knitting is gorgeous. I really want to learn how to stitch. Looking forward to your next FlossTube when ever that might be❤❤
Loved your new video! And with two older kids (11 and 13) please know that you will get stitching time again and never feel like you have to apologize for not having time and for not getting sleep! You're doing great!

🌳 So glad to see you. Beautiful projects. Don't apologize for what you get done. The fact that you can do anything with a newborn and a six yo, is fantastic. If you're working on linen, your eyes must be doing better. Fantastic! Love seeing the knitting along with the cross stitch.
Ditto on the sentiments expressed by others, that no apologies are ever necessary for not getting more stitching done. It’s a joy to see what you’re up to, and while we only have furbabies by choice, my husband and I love seeing and enjoying other’s kiddos, especially when they’re so sweet and full of so much personality! Thank you so much for spending the time and effort to share. Love it!! xx🐿️🦋🌲

There’s one, I can’t remember the name but it has one rose and looks very vintage.
Hi, I always enjoy seeing your projects and watching your flosstubes. To anyone who sees this comment, besides Threadneedle in Issaquah are there other cross stitch stores in the greater Seattle area? I will be visiting for a week and hoping to squeeze in some shopping 😊
If I remember correctly, you daid something about learn to bead. I noticed this morning Catlin and Lillie is doing a tutorial on this subject on her Flosstube channel.
I am working on Ann Hughes as well for my birthday stitch along with sweet Sarah as well! I absolutely love how yours looks, and just noticed it looks like you used an ice pink between the bricks/the grout… Sure wish I had seen this before. I restarted mine already and don’t want to frog, but I love your change!
Oh, I remember that season of a baby, a 4 yr old, little sleep, and trying to balance it all. It’s hard! You’re doing a great job! The sweater is beautiful! Thanks for the video. I’d listen to you chat and show your stitching even if it’s 10 stitches! 🌳🏞️
I think watching you and Katie have gotten me interested in the Russian kits. There's so many! I have done a dense Dimensions Gold kit and it was too much, but there are many kits from so many different companies that are great. I found one by Golden Hands but I can only get it from Russia. Maybe it will appear elsewhere in the future. It's not on MyBobbin either, but it's fun browsing the site. I don't expect you to get a lot of stitching done with a baby and a soon to be first grader and working part time. I remember how busy I was when my kids were smaller. Stitch what you can. Car rider pick up time is coming soon when school starts. Get ready to stitch. 😄
I am really enjoying the magic needle kits this morning. I was sitting down to get together some thoughts on them all and that brand really stands out to me. It’s also Russian. They have fabulous kits over there apparently! lol. Thank you for watching 💖
🌳 🌲 🌴 I LOVE the trees in your area of the country…and the FERNS! You are definitely in a hard phase of life as a woman. I’m glad you’ve got community and are filling your own cup. Take care💕
I’m going to start with the knitting. I LOVE that sweater! I am hoping to settle on an all over colorwork sweater this summer to be knit over the winter. I’m hoping to find a green/blue/tan combo. Your purchases and plans look like fun and I hope you enjoy them when you get to them. It’s much harder to get into a routine when you have a second child than with the first so be gentle with yourself and yet persistent. 🌷🌹💐 take care of you.
Beading needles are very good for mill hill in particular, but they can be very sharp comparatively so beware of that :p I use nymo beading thread for beading (unless the pattern specifies) and its basically a thin 'fishing line' style thread and I've seen them in clear and white. The other tool for beading I swear by is my tacky bob. It's basically a small cd case with sticky surfaces inside. You pop the beads in and they stick in place, so you can just scoop it up with your needle without having to chase them. Because it's a little case as well you can close it up and the beads are safe for next time.
Doing beads on lamp project is a great idea! White floss will work just fine and you can stick beads as half stitch or full stitch try both and see which one will look better :)
I really recommend Fibers and Floss Canada's beading tutorial (I think it was a part of her Mirabilia series). It has everything you need! I recently did beading on a project for the first time. It had been sitting in a basket for a year because I thought beading was scary. It wasn't! I used a size 28 needle and dmc matching my bead.
No apologies necessary! I just enjoy getting to "hang out" with you while I stitch. :) #momlife, hahaha! We stitch when we can! Best wishes for a great weekend!
I love Anne Hughs, but I’m having a hard time finding the Cottage Garden Thread anywhere other than Australia (I’m in Oregon), and I don’t want to pay more for shipping than for the thread. 😕 🌳

Hi Megan!! Getting caught up on your videos! I don’t get to watch as much Flosstube in the summer, tuned in to the Cubs! I’ve been looking forward to your videos as you are always on the top of my queue!! BECAUSE you do amazing work!! No matter how much, it’s gorgeous and progress!! Thanks for being real and that’s what I love, no need to apologize for a thing!! Still wanting to try dying some time fabric, haven’t had the time. Meeting up with fellow stitchers is the best! I have a meet up next weekend and can’t wait! The shop has a retreat center above it so we can stitch and shop and spend the weekend there. It’s called the Stitchery Nook in Osage Iowa. Check it out some time. 🌳 🌳 🍃 🍃
Thank you so much for watching and spending some of you precious time with me. I feel you on just not having the time. I swear I got more busy when Amira went back to school lol idk what’s going on but it’s also soooo fun. Have fun at your stitchy get together. Sounds fabulous!

This is my theory about motherhood: are they fed? Are you fed? Are they in bed??? Congratulations you made it through the day!!! Don’t worry about anything else. Just take care of yourself. You are doing a great job!!! 🌲
