Thank you Adam. Nice run down of the Minis. I updated since I had promised my Mini 6 to my Grand daughter and she passed on her Mini 5 to her little brother. Wonderful excuse for me to get the Mini 7.
Hey Adam! Thanks for the iPad Mini history lesson. I got a lot of mileage out of my early Mini version 2 from 2013. I recently moved up to an M2 iPad Air after retiring my 9.7" iPad Pro. Look forward to more news on your young cat, Newton, and wonder if its name has anything to do with the green glow in the cubby over your right shoulder...Thanks, Dale
Hi, is there any tutorials that can basically go though the workflow of setting up mix effect pro from start? With trial version. And using the blackmagic atem mini. Cant seem to understand how this works in real case scenario. The recording and streamig buttons are greyed out and can’t seem to figure out how to set it up. Also seeems like the controls are not doing anything to control atem despite it being connected. 😅 any resources would be also much appreciated. Thanks for the hard work! And great content.
From your description, it looks like you are connecting to the ATEM Simulator that’s part of MixEffect (is there a purple bar at the top)? I have videos on this channel on how to connect (look at the MixEffect playlist) and this document that covers common connection problems: docs.mixeffect.app/support/connection-help Send a feedback email if you continue to have problems.
As explained in MixEffect´s documentation, make sure that you entered in MixEffect the correct IP Address for your Atem switcher (e.g. 10.0.1.50) This is the same address you use in the ATEM Software Control application on macOS and Windows.
Hey Adam , I purchased the new mini with 256GB . I understand that Logic Pro work on it . My question is : Do you think 256 GB is enough to run logic Pro?
I think the gating factor is less the storage space and more the processing power. From the tech specs, it looks like there are some features that are only available for the M1 and up processor line. Plus, the screen real estate might be a bit cramped on the mini. I would try it out and report back!
Thank you Adam. Very helpful video. I am getting the new mini. I don’t have any iPad mini. Looking forward to getting the new mini.
You'll like the mini. It's a nice, portable device that can be a good complement to your other Apple devices. Enjoy!
