I am laid up in bed with a new type 2 diabetes and an amputation of the left big toe.. your videos have been playing on a loop for me!! Even ones I have seen 100 times.. I just can't get enough!! Thank you for making my recovery a little easier!!! ❤
I love when you get distracted, glad to know I'm not alone. You said " The grandkids like to, look at that camper." It's so cute
Do you ever think that if we all went in the store together the combination of what we would each get would be different? So fun to see what others pick up.
I am starting to harvest all my dried beans and can't wait to send you a care package. Thanks so much!
I just realized that Shipshewana is closer to me than the Amish stores in mid and central Michigan and started researching some bulk stores down there...your video was on Google as a link! This seals it! I'm going!
That's so sweet of you to be respectful of others
Great find! We don't have that kind of bulk food store with such great prices near us that i know of!
I have not been able to find the huge shells in our area for years....I love stuffed shells.
Thank you so much for taking us along. What a great store. Wow.
Renea, that store looks awesome. Lots of choices. Hope you find some great bargains. God Bless.
I am amazed by these discount food stores and so wish I had one near me
Thanks for taking us along with you Renee that store has pretty much everything.... You didn't look like you were feeling very well though I hope everything is ok. Thanks for sharing another excellent video! Always look forward to the next one!!👍
We live just south of shipshe. Go every other week for groceries there.
Great finds!
Thanks for the shopping trip. 😊👍
I keep my yeast in the freezer too, but when I need to ipour the yeast in a jar with screw top and store in fridge for easy access to use
l was in shipshewana afew year's ago an there outside flea market was so big an amazing that I really believe I'd want to revisit more than any where I had traveled..need more than 1 day though.. Blessings
We were just there last week (also visited the flea market and got a good deal on tomatoes). We try to make a trip once a month, at least during the warmer months. I get a lot of spices there. Love the cheese, Jalapeno Bacon Munster is our favorite. I got a close out on chopped almonds last week. I'm freezing them for my Christmas treats. There are several Amish stores closer to us but they don't have the variety that E & S does!
We live in Indy, and make it up there 2 or 3 times a year. LOVE E&S. Their bulk spices can’t be beat, and I usually can find a big bag of wheat berries there. They don’t take credit cards though, only cash or check.
That looks exciting. We used to have chickens. They got a punnet of grapes every week - never thought of popcorn.
Pop corn grinder down makes the best cornbread
Looks like a good place to stop in. Camera movement gets a little dizzying to watch. The vintage toy cars are so cool. I think it's called "Mediterranean blend" because it's olives from more than one country.
Wowza!! I wish we had a store like that down here in the b-hole of Texas! I kind of hate it here but can’t leave until hubby retires 😢
It was supposed to say I love the deals you get on groceries
prices sure have changed in a year glad you documentary this
Renee, what a great haul with lots of savings. And you are right, chicken's do love popcorn.
You have such a big heart and are such a sweet lady u love the grocery deals you look out for and find that's how my momma and i.always did love your channel nice lady and you are so smart to have that dish washer
We have a very small Mennonite bulk store in our town. So much fun to go look around!!
A favorite of mine. I also shop at an Amish bulk store in Bloomingdale’s and have really great deals there.
Renea, I love to go shopping with you, Your shops are amazing to me, I think the variety in products is fantastic.
Hello I live and was raised in rural Shipshewana. The unless you want to attend the auction don’t come to town on Tuesday or Wednesday. The population explodes on those days.
Renae that is good yeast. Fresh for almost ever in the freezer.Hey your feather babies need a treat. The girls work hard giving the cackle berries.Great finds today.
I have had mine in the freezer for years and I mean years and it’s still perfectly fine
Renea, you are a very hard worker!!!
Everything you do you have someone in mind for it.
So caring!
After all that tomatoe canning how did uou get the energy to drive all those hours for shopping?
Good for you!
Blended olive means all the olives don’t come from the same place
I always use the blended for cooking The saf instant yeast freezes well and the expiration is about a month plus after taking out of freezer. I have frozen yeast for about three years without any problems taking out and using.
Blended olive oil normally means it's a blend of olive and another oil....it's not pure olive oil no matter where the olives are from! I've used the safe instant yeast and kept in freezer for as long as 5 years and it's still good! I don't know how long it would last as long as you keep it frozen and airtight!
Thank you for bringing me along
I have never seen such a large selection of sprinkles and sanding sugars. That looks like a fun store as you can purchase single items. Although since I began building a Prepper Pantry I have been happy buying more things at COSTCO or Sam’s. My goodness! You got up super early to be there at 7 something in the morning with a 4.5 hour drive. That is dedication! My grands love the boxed mac and cheese, too. And they are old enough to make themselves. I also keep Cup of Noodles, or Ramen in stock. We just insist they also eat the raw veggies they love, and apple slices, etc. to go with. I have some way past Best Buy yeast, but I proof it and it is just fine. I have gotten to the point where I ignore the Best Buy dates and simply pre test, or pre taste. If it fails then I can toss it. Or things like nuts, crackers, etc that have gone stale our birds, and squirrels absolutely love.
I am like you with that. There is no waste in my home cause I have chickens and rabbits and all kinds of birds and little squirrels and they all eat good here. I get the squirrels their own bag of peanuts in the winter too so they can eat and not trash my feeders the little devils. Lol
I like going to whispering pines in Fremont. It there Amish store..
when I lived in michigan I never got to shipshewana now I live way to far away
Hi this is Sue, wait, no mask required?, Can't wait for the boarders to open, told my hubby we have to go to this place, love me some good deals. Have you tried your new COOKLEE, l just got mine today, so excited, l think l am going to make some bread tomorrow and give her a try. (l got the red one, thought l ordered white, lol)
Masks are optional.
Wish it was that way here in the socialist commie state of Oregon with our governor hitler brown. We are the only state out of 50 that has an indoor AND outdoor mask mandate. I refuse to wear one outside. No way! I'm also going to refuse to wear the muzzle inside too. If they tell me to leave. I will and will NEVER shop there again. I'm done with this agenda.
@@loritanner4478 well here in Canada they are manditory, no mask no service anywhere, People seem to forget that it isn't just the Canada or the USA, it is the whole world. And this will all stop soon. eg. the Spanish flu they had masks as well. and it also lasted 3 years, Both wars freedom was very limited and it ended, we just have to go with the flow for the time being, it will be over soon.
But l in general was just asking, and l sorry had to put my 2 cents in.
The olive oil was probably blended with different regions of Mediterranean olives.
oooh, just heard the store was 4 hrs away
I live a few miles from there. They used to be very reasonable on bulk groceries when my kids were little. Now they are very pricey. The smaller Amish grocery stores have much better prices.
How cool can you get ?? I live in Colon Michigan. About 45 minutes north east 😊🎉❤
I so wish we had a true bulk store
cherrry pie, my favorite!!
got your cookbook!
I would be in heaven there!!!!
I just love these co-op or bulk stores buys & you do a great job pointing out some good & not so good buys. However, I know this is an older video but could you do a voice over so we can hear better...its not you my dear friend it's the background noise ( folks restocking & general back ground that makes them hard to hear you when you talk. However, please making these video's so we all can see those wonderful products ❤️🇺🇸
Thanks renea! Nice video! See u soon! 💕🎃💕
Our oldest son was allergic to PURE vanilla so I have always used imitation.
I’ve been there! Fun place!!
Fun video. I buy my friend bulk "gumballs" at E & S as she is a gumball finatic. Good luck with your channel.
I hope you drove down the road to the other bulk food store there. As well.
I did not know there was another one. Please tell me where.
I LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS. MUCH LOVE FROM ARKANSAS
I think it is great that you give your chickens a treat. Sounds fair.....they give you eggs 😁
I’ve heard great things about this place, but have never been. I live in Northern Illinois. I sure wish I could hear you better 😢😢 you need a wireless mic 💕🙏🙏
Hello from Colorado 😊
Hello Iona.
I noticed that they have a tow truck. Do the sale those things that they have sitting above their grocies items? If yes, I'd like the prices on the tow trucks.
i live in louisville and would love to go to this store
There's also one in newaygo. But I really didn't care to much for that one.
I would LOVE to be able to make a trip up there! I'm only in Ohio. Lol. To make it really worth it for me I'd have to pack my car to the brim! I have heard of this store there from numerous people! We do have some Amish/Mennonite stores but they've become tourist attractions and are way overpriced now.
I’m in Ohio too and can verify that.
I found so many out of the way Amish stores when my mom and I vacationed in Holmes County, 5 years ago. I spent $800 in these small stores. They were so, so cheap. We just drove around out in the country and found them. Now Lehman's was way too rich for my blood but there are some great, small Amish stores in that area. Also best donuts I ever had in my life!
Coffe was just a little under a lb.
Nice store!
Can’t hear
Better watch that purse!!!
Like your video where is the store at that you're shopping in I live in Michigan but I've never heard of that
It is in Shipshewana, Indiana
Does anyone know if there’s any such similar type store in northern Alabama or southern Tennessee? When I lived in Michigan I visited the store at least twice a year and I sure miss it.
That tag was not glued to the top. you can tell that it fell from something else.
Yes it must have but someone else might have held them to that price. That was all I was saying.
Man oh man if I could find potatoes for that price I would be canning them in all kinds of ways.
My thoughts exactly!!! I've been watching for sales on potatoes with the sole purpose of canning them up and there just haven't been any good sales to be had!
I grew potatoes in totes. Harvested 27 totes of potatoes the end of July. Got 200 pounds. Then I found a great buy on seed potatoes from a local nursery that got theirs to late after everyone had already planted theirs. So I replanted 30 totes and they are almost ready to harvest again. And yes, I canned all of the 200 pounds. And going to can these also. Probably will can a bunch with my walla walla and candy onions and some herbs.
@@loritanner4478 I didn't have much luck with my container potatoes. Tried 2 years in a row and it just wasn't worth the premium space they took up!
@@loritanner4478 I tried potatoes in totes and feed sacks and in ground last year and didn’t get enough for a meal. I give up trying to grow potatoes. I live on top of old mines and the ground here just won’t grow much of anything.
Not enough good topsoil before hitting rock.
Wow!! You're at my favorite place! Are you visiting Indiana or is this your home? We go to Shipshewnna many times a year.
We are visiting E & S Store.
How can they call the noodles homemade? If it's not made by hand in the home it's store bought noodles.
Papa likes the toys.
Hi love your videos. I'm new to your channel where do you live is it New Jersey or New York
Renae do you have a vacuum sealer? They are so nice to seal meats etc for extended storage. Also, John ever cook at home? I’m full of question, but was wondering how many children do you have? Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Yes, I have an industrial size vacuum sealer. John is a very good cook and yes he will cook at home though I do most of the cooking. John can make mouth watering biscuits & Gravy. Together we have 8 adult children. I have 3 and he has 5.
@@LittleVillageHomestead thank you for your quick response. I really enjoy your videos
