If you can't adopt a family like you did, go put some food in a blessing box, go visit with a elderly person and take them some cookies just reach out to people!

It feels so good to help others! I keep "blessings bags" in my car with a variety of hygiene items and snacks, a new testament, and a fast food gift card and give them out when I see folks in need. I always feel like I'm doing something selfish since it makes ME feel so great. I guess it's a win/win xo.
Oh I also keep brand new coats, hats, scarves and boots in several sizes in case i see a need in my SUV. In the summer I keep t-shirts, flip flops, sneakers, spf ect along with a nice word and prayer if they feel led to pray.

The boxes came out beautifully and are packed to the brim with goodies. We don't have a lot ourselves but we have a box I will finish up and deliver this week to a lady with a disabled son. This is our third year and its always so much fun hearing her talk about receiving it later. Everyone deserves a decent Christmas.

As Kids our grandma would make us up plates and we would take plates to the elderly I still remember and have encouraged my children to do the same and honestly my table is always open if someone needs to eat. My kids know they can bring friends on the holidays and we make room if not enough food we will make them something. Never turn away anyone that is hungry.

We have had the pleasure of adopting a family before for Christmas. One was a single teacher with 3 children. She was overwhelmed and God opened a door for us to help her. It was one of the best Christmas celebrations for us. It’s wonderful to give to those less fortunate due to circumstances that are not in their control. It’s part of what Christmas is all about for us, showing peace and goodwill towards others❤😊

Hello friend Rene...yes you have inspired me to do something. I am going to make up a small basket of food for my next door neighbor who is alone this year. He had to put his wife in a group home for her dementia. I also will buy him a small gift. I don't have much like you as I am a senior living on social security but I have enough to spread just a bit of cheer to someone I am fond of. Thanks for sharing Rene, you are an angel in my book. This year many homes have had other family members move In because of the economy.
I am one of those families. I am 64 and my daughter n three children have moved in with me n my husband. We are wall to wall stuff. It's a tough one this year for sure!

So glad you are doing this. I am giving my kids food for Christmas…, I’ve been hrr we losing my son as times are tight for him. I wish I could do for many others… but I also cook meals for my 91 yo MIL… and my SIL ( recently widowed). Maybe next year I css as n start earlier!

What I wonderful project! I've been donating to the local food pantry......lately on a cake/neon frosting/sprinkles kick because no kid should go without a fun birthday cake lol.

I just lost one of my neighbors this morning, he has been sick for many years and his mom has struggled to take care of him. I was wondering what I could do to help her, and my thoughts were to make up a bunch of meals, single meals, she can freeze and just grab out whenever she needed/wanted.
