@@bruceharris3627 I think, on the high end pitched tunes, Sammy just seemed to make it more effortless. The first time I heard “Dreams” it was back way before the Internet was what it is today. You could still hear a song come on the radio and if you didn’t catch the DJ announce it or if they just didn’t, it was easy to not know a new tune even one of your favorite bands might have just released. So, it happened to me with this tune. It was just so unique. I had to ask my buddies in the hangar we worked in, who is that? Answer. “It’s Van Halen. Aren’t they your favorite bands, ya idiot?” Embarrassing. But Hagar was still kinda new. Anyway, me? The Red Rocker juuust edges out Roth. Both extremely talented in their own right.

I'm an old school VH fan but have always respected Sammy, enjoyed his VH catalog. This song however, while too poppy in a vacuum, is one of my all-time favorite running songs. End of the tracks when your ass is dragging, then this comes on and you dig deep and finish what you started.

This song will always remember my very last days on college, finishing my studies and being self motivated to keep focused on what I was dreaming for my future. Goosebumps, a bit of tears, very emotional, and an amazing motivational song for whatever you want to achieve.
Bless you, Eddie & Sammy.
I Just LOVE this song.... But this performance!!! Man they're on FIRE! And ALEX ...WOW what a KILLER drummer... I was always a fan of his playing and energetic drive... And after watching this video...EVEN MORE!! (Gonna watch it again...and again )
I wish they would release whole concert on DVD !!! That’ll be fantástic !!! What a performance !!!
Sammy has godly gifted vocals...you can debate all you want, Sammy vs Diamond...but honestly there's no comparison
Sammy.......by far!!
None
The band that made me love myself for years to come! Hail Sammy! Hail to my rock n roll guitar hero Eddie van Halen! BRINGS A TEAR TO MY EYE EVERYTIME I HEAR THIS SONG. And a rest easy to Tommy from mighty Morphin power rangers! The man I aspired to be since ever
This version is like watching four Superheroes on stage. The ultimate hard rock band, performing the mightiest rock’n’roll song.
Solche Musik/Musiker wird es nie mehr geben. Ich bin froh das miterlebt zu haben
Hagar has 10x the vocal power and range of Roth. This is VH best era.
I aways thought Roth was sort of creepy
@@joycewilson4939 he still is...
Best VH era. No doubt about it. They sound better than ever...
Simply just amazing!! R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen. You are truly missed!
Everyone always talks about Eddie or Sammy rightfully so. But Alex van halen is one of the best drummers I've ever heard just saying I love Eddie and Sammy.
Sammy was the right singer at the right time for Van Halen.
Who is better david lee roth or sammy hagar I take roth
I was asking who is a better singer did you ever seen them in concert I have not want to never did bucket list
@@bruceharris3627 Yep. Saw Roth with them in Hawaii and Hagar many years later. And I was basically saying I thought Hagar was better. Just a bit more range.
@@jamesmyers2087 what about a reunion with the greatest guatiar player in ed van halen rip son Wolfie van halen
😪 We miss you, Eddie. The best hard rock band in my opinion.
This is absolutely fantastic. I became a major Van Halen fan after Sammy joined the band. To this day, I still play "Dreams", "Love Walks In", "When It's Love", "Right Now", and "Not Enough" on the piano. In fact, I just played "Not Enough" last night on the piano. Goosebumps singing those lyrics!
Alex sounds so f’ing good . IMO the acoustic drums make this sound better
I'm wondering if Sammy can see how his incredible energy and infectious spirit moves the crowd so admirably?lm awestruck at his ability to capture my soul through his artistry and talents ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥.....!
What a singer Sammy was. Unbelievable
Saw Van Halen With Both David Lee Roth Twice And Sammy Hagar. Sammy's 50 Times More Of A Singer And Musician. He Was A Star In His On Right Well Before Van Halen. He's Been In 5 Bands All Super Successful. To This Day He Is So Humble. One Of The Greatest Singer And Sing Writer Performer Of All Times. He's 76 Years Old And Voice Is Still Crystal Clear . Sammy And The Circle Are So Worth The Ticket Price. If You Can Get One. Very Gracious Man As Well. Gives Tons Of Money To Charity . Which Most People Don't No. Rock On Red Rocker. We Love You.
How could something that was so awesome fall apart? Love VH
One of the greatest songs in history by one of the greatest bands ever
One of my favorite songs by the greatest rock group of all time. My eternal idol Eddie Van Halen...
One of the best and most defining songs of the Van Haggar era. Knowing how hard the highest notes were for Sammy to hit makes it even more special. Keyboards are as basic as "Jump", but those upper notes? REACH!
Nobody and I mean nobody (as a rocker) had a more distinguished voice like Sammy ! And nobody can play a guitar 🎸 like Eddie. The band was loud and had great songs. I had the pleasure of watching them twice.
R.I.P Eddie. 👍
Eddie Van Halen what are the greatest guitarists of all times amazing hands and creative mind to making his music 0:47
So many great memories with this song and album. This immediately takes me back to my sophomore year of college. I love all of Van Halen's music, but the Hagar era was my favorite. This music got me through a tough time in my life.
Their music video for this song; featuring the Blue Angel's A-4F's, was one of the best videos in MTV history.
No better song, band, or music video to have as our 4th of July anthem! Long live Van Halen and long live those Stars and Stripes pants!!! 🇺🇸
He knows what he's about to give you.... and it makes him smile. That's a magic.
4:41 minutes of pure joy
Well put. The older l get, the more I like & appreciate Van Halen mkII. Cheers!
I'm an old school VH fan but have always respected Sammy, enjoyed his VH catalog. This song however, while too poppy in a vacuum, is one of my all-time favorite running songs. End of the tracks when your ass is dragging, then this comes on and you dig deep and finish what you started.
Epic!! Been hoping they would remaster this video for years . Sammy is one of the best rock singers all time hands down!
They were peaking in my era. Sammy was the best 🎉😮😊
What a mix! Those vocals,drums-bass,guitar 🔥🤘🎸🥁Peak VH right there….seems like yesterday 😔
This song came on while I was driving like a madman to the hospital when my daughter was being born. Talk about an adrenaline rush. Here I am 8 short years later. Song makes me tear up now. Time goes by so fast
what a time to be alive. they look and seem happy to be playing. the 90s ruined rock n roll.
Sadly so.
Phenomenal, I wish Sammy still sang Dream live. This is the power of lightning in a bottle. Sammy actually passed out recording this track.
Nobody Swings like the King!
my band when they were firing on all 12 cylinders!!!!!forever van halen!!!rest in heaven edward!!!
I just L O V E this song ....
I swear they were just firing on all cylinders with Sammy!!! We all miss you Ed!!!
Arguably, the singularly BEST rock song in the history of Planet Earth --- and BEYOND!!!
hahaha.... no ---> .
BOTH eras, Van Halen is one of the best rocks bands in the history of music. Watching this...How badly is Ed missed...Such an incredible loss on so many levels. My heart breaks for Alex. Long live VH! ❤️🎶🎸✌️
