Nah, I've seen shots like this where the puck is caught in the equipment and falls out. The only thing that makes no sense is the goalie's delay at opening the glove because she definitely would've known she caught it. Maybe the fact she did stop the shot surprised her.

Such an epic finale to one of my fav movies. My favorite Duck is Jesse Hall, had the skill and the swag. Also smoothly scored the first goal of the shootout for Team USA 🏒

this was the first sports movie i ever saw back in like 94 or 95 and this was the movie that got me into hockey because it proves the underdog can come out on top which is a great sports lesson
I always find it interesting to see how everyone always had different favorite characters. Like to me Charlie, Fulton, and Portman were legends and other people thought Adam Banks was the best when I thought he wasn't all that wonderful.
Adam Banks was the best and low-key he was one of the main characters besides Charlie Conway that was around on all 3 Duck movies and I think he was on Mighty Duck's Game Changers

@TheAnttiJ Back when this movie was made Iceland barely knew what Hockey was. It's only recently that we have any sort of national team and we still have only like 3 club teams here. It's a growing sport though.

I always had the same two questions watching Gunnar's penalty. What was the point of doing a triple deke if you're gonna stop and hit a slap shot from at least 15 feet out? And why did they have to wait until Julie dropped the puck to know that Gunnar hadn't scored?
Agreed 100%. I'm guessing the 'stop counts as a miss' rule didn't apply because Fulton did the same thing. But I remember watching this and wondering that as well. Count the number of dekes and brace yourself, but he stops before shooting, PAUSES, and then shoots. And I know it's in slow motion but for Julie, that pause would've been long enough.
