Bought the SDC version returned it after one ride. Could not see why everyone buys that seat fast-forward to a year later I figured. Let me try the step up with the tuck and roll night and day difference. I’m definitely keeping this one.
I thought that was a good fair interview and the fact that you tried to work with them, giving them the benefit of doubt was credible they really seem to have dropped the ball. So this is what happened in the free market with a channel. Your opinion is valuable to us. thanks. Corbin might be the way to go for me in the spring.
I have the same problem - veteran with arthritis in my lower back. I have a Corbin saddle that is old and pretty rough, and needs replaced. Please let us know if you find a better, more comfortable solution.
I bought a Saddlemen Dominator solo seat that I'm not impressed with either. Could it be the stock HD Iron 883 shocks? Maybe. But the seat doesn't seem to have any cushion. Every bump is a thud.
Have had similar problems with Saddlemen. Let me give u a price and agony saving tip. True SDC has the look , Mustang seats are a good price, but Corbin is the way to go. Long rides with no back pain or legs starting to cramp after 1.5 hours in the saddle.
Problems due to back surgery? You need true back support, i.e. a rider backrest like on their Road Sofa. Step Up seats aren't necessarily made to support your back injury, they're narrow and sporty and stunters use them for aggressive riding. You were asking the wrong things of this seat.
+1 as far as Saddlemen not responding to inquiries. I had the same experience, luckily before I spent a huge amount of money on one of their seats. I figured if they can't be bothered with questions from their customers prior to a sale, I would definitely be ignored after I made the purchase. As a result, I will never own a Saddlemen seat.
lucky Daves tuck and roll on my 2024 low rider st. ive heard saddlemens is a good looking brick I just put 7K on it and its good all day 11 hr runs on a mainland trip last month. big island
someone told me that the diamond stitch was more durable but harder and the tuck and roll was softer.... I don't even know though. I've only ever had the diamond stich
Never really had an issue with comfort or aesthetics. The Problem with Saddlemen is they are a California company and their ideaology is that everyone is a criminal. If you have an issue with any of thier produsts and if they agree to warranty that item. Your item must be destroyed before they will send another one. CAn I take it to my Goodwill or any motorcycle outlet and donate it. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Compare that to Vortex optics. Anything happens to your 2k dollar scope, send it back, no questions asked, you get another one. Just sick of entitled companies that rely on thier past accomplishments and no longer care about thier customers.
I love my saddlemen stepup on my softail...I have SI joint issues and the stepup with gel is the most comfortable that I can find...I've tried multiple different seats. Probably different for everyone...with your back issues you will probably have trouble with almost every seat brand.
Choosing a new seat is So difficult! The reviews are from one extreme to the other, pretty much have to take an educated guess. 50% say best seat ever! 50% say worst seat ever!
It’s a very personal thing. What doesn’t work for you works great for someone else! Like most things it’s not just a simple answer. Sorry it’s not working for you.
Over rated and over priced. I also, have had back surgery and tried many seats. Can't find one any more comfortable than HD Sundowner with rider backrest. Looks like a touring seat but I'll give up looks to stay in the saddle longer.
Le Pera seats are sooo much better and the seat pan is metal powder coated not plastic you can tell when you unpackage it that it's quality built no doubt saddleman is nothing but a name no quality there
Please explain what you're referring to. Your comment is as about as useful as 💩 emoji. I suspect you might just be a Saddlemen employee... I'm in the market for a seat and have ridden behind Adam when I can see that hes uncomfortable, standing up a lot etc. I wont be considering a Saddleman that's for certain.
The tuck and roll saddleman is way more comfortable over the diamond gel inserts

LePara. Have one on my 01 Softail Deuce, great looking and comfortable as hell, from day 1!
Why didn’t you get a backrest?!?!

Finally, someone who hasn't drunken the Saddlemen kool-aid. Lepera is supposed to be much better.

That's what I was told from Saddlemen. The diamond stitch is firmer
I agree with your review. I really wanted to like this seat, but I don't. It's well made and looks good, but it just isn't comfortable at all.

they are great for stunting and canyon ripping and probably skinny ass dudes but thats about it..... BMC Corbin all the way.....FTW
I replaced my Harley-Davidson seats with Corbins.
just me but I put a HD police seat on all my bikes even my metrics. gel and memory foam is nothing but a marketing rip off.
@@dennytuma that's a good idea 💡

Le pera tailwhip is soft and comfortable on day one.
Corbin is far superior to Saddlemen
