We really take our lives for granted, we could have easily been born into those times, but thankfully we were not. Women have fought and will always fight for what they deserve. Even when they get tortured they never back down. I know men go through the same type of stuff, but this video is about women. Women have been locked away, killed, and called crazy for just having their own likes and opinions. Even when women got what they wanted people still treated them differently. Then and now. I love watching these videos because I'm like "damn, that could have been me." Unfortunately some people still believe unmarried women are sinful, but they do not matter in the grand scheme of things.

Wow! This is an amazing edit I love it. The pacing the clips the music everything was spectacular. I feel some of these things still apply to life nowadays. I mean it’s changing but not as much. When we are young, (us girls) are taught to play with dolls, play house, have our own little mini kitchens because that is the kind of toys people get us. When we are older we start to get insecure and put on make up not because we want the attention but because we are human and we deserve compliments not backhands to the face. When we are older we meet someone. We settle down and have kids. Only for our husbands to disrespect us and look down on us. Those “games” we used to play as kids are now what we do for the rest of our life. Boys play cars, football, cards and all these things. You will never see them ask for a kitchen set. Or this or that. But that is just the way we are raised.

The pain of being at the bottom of the hierarchy is universal. poor people ,victims of racism, workers ,animals (if they had enough awareness) , passive homosexuals and trans people have more potential to empathize with women. Because they are all victims of the same system and hierarchy. But of course, if you were a white, rich, heterosexual man, you could still empathize with women, because you're human.

I dont know most of these shows (i could pick out i think The Tudors) but i wonder how often women would do something like kick their bed or something when they were alone because the rage they felt was so strong it had to come out somehow. We always assume women in history just calmly accepted their state in life, their status to whichever man they belonged to (father, husband, etc), but i dont think they did. I always think its a shame that, even now, women who went through shit when they were younger use the excuse 'well i went through it, so she should have to as well, thats just how it is' for their daughters, when they know they wished for their own mothers to help them be free, to not sell them off, use them to make alliances or to make their family prosper.
And i really really hate that we didnt know until relatively recently in history that you not 'bearing a male heir' all came down to the mans 'contribution' and was not at all the womens 'fault'.

It always nice watching movies like this but the one thing I have learnt over time women are the ones that force other women to belittle themselves. Instead of trying to bring forth change they remind the girls to give forth babies, to stay quiet, to obey. Women that stand for themselves made men obey and this women are the ones to help other women stand on their own two feet. But jealousy is the seed that a woman plants and that tree blooms flowers in the other generations. The need of wanting others to taste the same pain is what has created the generation we term as the patriarchy. Quote a king rides on a horse only when it chooses to be tame, a horse is only tame when it's broken but a horse running wild and free even in shackles can never be broken.

    One, two, three
Why are you hanging on so tight
To the rope that I'm hanging from?
Off this island, this was an escape plan (this was an escape plan)
Carefully timed it, so let me go
And dive into the waves below
Who tends the orchards? Who fixes up the gables?
Emotional torture from the head of your high table
Who fetches the water from the rocky mountain spring?
And walk back down again to feel your words and their sharp sting
    And I'm getting fucking tired
The capillaries in my eyes are bursting
If our love died, would that be the worst thing?
For somebody I thought was my saviour
You sure make me do a whole lot of labour
The calloused skin on my hands is cracking
If our love ended, would that be a bad thing?
And the silence haunts our bed chamber
You make me do too much labour
You make me do too much labour
Apologies from my tongue, and never yours
Busy lapping from flowing cup and stabbing with your fork
    I know you're a smart man (I know you're a smart man), and weaponise
The false incompetence, it's dominance under a guise
If we had a daughter, I'd watch and could not save her
The emotional torture, from the head of your high table
She'd do what you taught her, she'd meet the same cruel fate
So now I've gotta run, so I can undo this mistake
    At least I've gotta try
The capillaries in my eyes are bursting
If our love died, would that be the worst thing?
For somebody I thought was my saviour
You sure make me do a whole lot of labour
The calloused skin on my hands is cracking
If our love ends, would that be a bad thing?
And the silence haunts our bed chamber
You make me do too much labour
All day, every day, therapist, mother, maid
Nymph then a virgin, nurse then a servant
Just an appendage, live to attend him
So that he never lifts a finger
    24∕7, baby machine
So he can live out his picket fence dreams
It's not an act of love if you make her
You make me do too much labour

hey this is a good edit; id like to advise that you don't take certain quotes out of context tho. specifically the line about "moving the finish line"--that wasn't about misogyny, but about racialized misogyny, specifically against black women. i think it's really important to note in Hidden Figures, white women were also shown to be extremely racist and not at all allies of black people or even black women.

Thank you for the feedback, to be honest I didn’t realize when I made the video that the quote was out of context, but now that you said I can see how it is that way, I’ll definitely be more careful in the future.

LADIES WHY DO WE WANT EQUAL RIGHTS WITH MEN AND NOT REVENGE?

    • @JabamiLain
      @JabamiLain 3 месяца назад

Fear that you won't be better than the men. That you'll just trade places with them over time.

Because there is no generational sin. You would only hurt innocent people
to avenge what other people did in another time, in another world.
Why should anyone pay for someone else's mistakes?
If you really want to take revenge, then on the person who harmed you and not on someone else.
      With kind regards
      Karma

Im crying so hard at this, "my body is not mine", it will be soon 2025 and this is still true. The elections proved it. The fact that the men even started selling shirts that say "Your body, My choice" and celebrating.
im so tired of being a woman

Hello! I left a comment from the main vidshow account, but I don't see it now so it might have been deleted for spam. I run a vid show for a convention in October, and I'd like permission to include your vid. Let me know if you'd like more info!
