Thanks for reacting to this. It still hurts my brain to try and understand how a 9 year old writes these Lyrics! Beautiful song and video. BTW, this video won Norway's Video of the Year in 2016!

Aurora has said in interviews that she often packages sad lyrics with upbeat music, because she wants to deliver the message, but she's not trying to depress anyone.
It feels like it shouldn't work, but Aurora makes it work.

Agreed. Video + Live is the perfect way to react to Aurora songs!

I like to appreciate the original audio as well and since the community prefers the live versions I decided to combine both. Each performance has a different feel. The music videos are to portray the artistry and the live performance is for the personal connections.

It was a good moment. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I never saw the official video. It's much sadder than the live one of that song.
When the two Auroras cross paths on the ladder... a very emotional moment.
It's a good idea to react on both the video and the live.

BTW, she wrote most of this when she was a child. It was about trying to fit into cliques that didn't care about you, rather than a (potential) romantic relationship. She was trying to impress the popular girls, but at some point realized how pointless that was.
Obviously, the lyrics work very well for romantic relationships too, though. Most of us have gone way too far trying to get someone to love us back, which almost never works (at least long-term).

Yay, I’m so excited that you’re going through her first album👍😍😍
This music video won the Norwegian grammy in 2017👍
    She explained to The 405:
"It's a reminder of how important it is to not give yourself away for anyone else's love. Way too many people tend to stay in relationships where they go through verbal and physical abuse. It's a huge issue that needs awareness."
"When I was 9 I wrote most of this song. I watched someone brave and kind not demanding the respect and love they deserved. Growing up, I realized these things happen all around us. And we need to learn to be kind to ourselves and demand to be treated right. We all have the chance to climb up the ladder."
Looking forward to your next Aurora reaction👍🤗

Wow thanks for the added info! Still can't believe she wrote some of these songs when she was a kid. I have been going through this lesson myself this past year with understanding my boundaries and knowing what I am worthy of.

@@bellastarreacts Yeah, to think she had those thoughts at the age of 9 is quite unbelievable actually😳 But amazing for us👍💕
      Wish you all the best❤️
