Can you also press Ctrl F to find a game or is it endless scrolling? Adjust the emulators to 4k resolution or scale/ stretch the image to fit to screen. Is this Launchbox they used? And can you also manually change the controllers?
If its hyperspin everything is controlled manually for each game so its nice cuz you can save specific settings for each game launchbox is similar or you can copy and paste control settings to all games in a category but not every game will work flawlessly that way. Yeah, 590 dollars for one drive, need 4000k usd to get what is literally coinops frontend, filled with the pre skraped collections from hyperspin, coinops max, and a few others. None of this is his own work. For someone that knows nothing about the nature of emulation front ends, and doesn't want to go find them all and make their own collection or download 100tb this would still cost as much as an entry level gaming pc, or a full standalone quest 3 (comes out in less than 2 months 499) just can't see this as anything but a way for someone to literally copy / paste other people's work to some drives then sell them at a 20% profit after hardware cost.
While what you said I'd true, it also requires alot of time to put something together like this. Would I buy it? Absolutely not, but for someone that has the money and doesn't want to spend the time to setup it would be a good option. Very expensive adnd asking for payment of illegal content.

Hey RGG -- I've been meaning to leave you a comment for quite some time about this particular review, as well as a couple of other topics. Initially, I learned about this set up through "Drew Talks" but you went into far more detail than he [or anyone else] did in their review. Apologies in advance and I hope you see this because it's a long one -- I'll copy and email it also just in case. The only other set up that's similar to this that I am aware of is by HyperArcadeSystems (Chris Shaw -- Hyperspin). I am assuming you're aware of him but in the off chance you aren't, I wanted to let you know. I have nothing against Kris Coolmod [or anyone else for that matter doing this] because the amount of work it takes to learn and THEN put something like this together, make sure everything runs perfectly as to have an archive of games with the amount of work that is required -- even if I had the time to learn, for the amount of time and effort that would take, it's well worth paying for. When Drew covered this set up, Chris(of HypArcSys) was VERY active in the comments, responding to all kinds of questions. The only "drawback" I could see on his was very few "PC" games, meaning everything KCM has going back to all the old games from the 90s up through today's indie & AAA from Steam. My assumption is that all PS4/5 & Xbox One/Series on both set ups are just the PC versions anyway and it doesn't make much sense to double all of them up in my opinion -- these 2 brands aren't any different. There was a reason he doesn't add them, which I don't understand exactly what he means but it's because of "cracked" PC games. I recall also that he had, or was going to have a 48 TB option soon also but I don't remember what that entailed -- that was 5+ months ago. I copied this next bit below from his comment that kind of answered the question -- ******************** @pferreira1983 5 months ago So if this has every game why is there a 96TB version? Also for games requiring accessories like a guitar how are you supposed to play it? @HyperArcadeSystems 5 months ago (edited) @pferreira1983 The title is obviously for the clicks. The 96tb vesion has about 40+ TBs of cracked PC games. My setup... focuses on arcade, pinball and consoles. It does have some pc games... Windows 3.1, Dos, Gog games. And pc racers and Pc fighting games. But thats it. You can use an xbox Guitar with clone hero and it has all the same music releases as the guitar hero/Rock band games. etc ******************** You've been putting out a ton of awesome videos and as far as I'm concerned, you're at the very top of the reviewers I have found on YT; clearly I am not alone on that opinion. Honestly and integrity is rare in the times we live right now where people will say anything or clicks, attention and especially money/power -- I definitely respect that. If I had ONE request to ask you personally as a reviewer, it would be an "update" on the 96TB KrisCoolmod set up, a review on the 32TB Chris Shaw's HyperArcadeSystem, and THEN a comparison video talking about things such as "online" play, how long any "hard drive" is really expected to last and what one would do to transfer to new HDDs, or better yet SDDs -- you know, when we win the lottery -- and probably the most important thing; What type of PC, including minimum graphics card, as well as "power strip" would someone need to run either one of these beasts -- I don't think a Mini PC would cut it even with a graphics card but I could be wrong. If I was lucky and got a second request in there, it would be for you to invite Jason Graves on for a Live Stream -- that "kid" is only 25 but I like his review style; it's not the same cookie cutter snowflake BS you get from some people and I don't think he cares if he "offends". I like that and it shows that he has got a backbone....not to mention, he is beating and reviewing every SNES/SF RPG -- which means I will never have to attempt the ones that are GARBAGE because he did it for me...and I am entertained. That's a Win-Win if you ask me! **PS** -- Your "interviews" [where the screen doesn't need to be seen] should be "podcasted" so Podcast Addict picks them up.....I need this shit on the go man!
I would love to have ALL kind of movies into one HD....I'm sure it's out there...but I would like it all legally imported straight into the drive then make it public for sale...

Whoa, that’s really Impressive!! 96 Terabytes 🎉
my brain can't fathom that number that's beyond insane storage
This is the Holy grail ive been looking for.
I’d be nervous long term about hdd failure.
Save up your money, then clone the drives.
backup !
Yiu can re download them from the website
This is the illest emulator set up to date....I thought coinops and finalburn combos were great.....this is unreal. I'm getting one.
Really good stuff. The PS4 ps5 Xbox 1x etc are the pc games of those systems is not actual emulation, so you will not have the exclusives that have not been released on pc
Very nice. If I can hook it up to my tv, I'll definitely get it!
Honestly, the most impressive part of this is the older PC games. Those are a pain to get running and working, I wonder if they all actually work though.
Everything else is a simple download. I built a 100TB+ so far, just a pain for the PC games.
This video was perfect for me to find games to emulate lmao.
How is it even possible to emulate PS5 and Xbox Series yet? Hell, I thought the PS4 was the newest emulation and that it was still in its infancy at best lol. Mind blown by this build though... it looks awesome!!!
They're actually pc versions of series x and ps5 which I had not realized when doing the tour of this. Play great but not truly ps5 and series x.
@@OfficialChaseBrogan So am I understanding this correctly? Those games are basically just PC versions that you can purchase and download like on Steam for example and then disguised as Xbox and PS5 games on this build?
@@biggie01taws6I wouldn't say disguised. Because the games were originally built for their respective consoles first.
@@ThatRandomFastingGuy Yeah I can see your point but at the end of the day, they are still not truly PS4 games. And at the same time, one could argue roms as a whole aren't truly the real thing either, just copies of them so I'm cool with it. Maybe they should specify exactly what type of games they really are but it's most likely a selling point so it's understandable I suppose 👍
@@biggie01taws6 There is no disguise or being sneaky here - he openly states on his website that the Xbox One, Series X, PS4 Pro and PS5 games are not emulated and are PC games. I guess it's just a way of showing a collection of popular console games that are also available on PC.
Hey retro game boy,
I feel that you robbed us the short version 50 minutes.
I'll be looking forward to when you got spare time to do a 2 hrs long version 😂.
But seriously I am so gobsmacked, thank you very much for showing this really appreciate it.
Best system ever !! Extremely expensive - over $5,000 !! If you have the $, it’s worth it !! This is the ultimate !!! There are several configurations. You will need a high spec pc for some systems. A huge thumbs up for doing this super video !! Great job. !!!! 50:13
Its actually cheaper... Canadian to U.S. . conversion for 860=651.00...so that's 3,906😊
I think it was down to $3000 or something so the price is higher... i think kris is gonna lose builds not sold becouse of that
$5000 is only 83 $60 games. Less if you factor in tax
It's not worth it. Just build a gaming PC, plug in a few 8TB SSDs and download every ROM you'd like to play for free. You'll save yourself thousands.
The first thing in life I have ever been jealous of.
Awesome love the video bro, keep up the good work.
Thanks!

It appears he added some pc games to Chris’s 48tb setup.
I’d love one with just Ps1, Ps2, PS3, PSP, GameCube, Xbox, and Xbox 360.
48tb one for like $1080 you can get from hyperarcade systems
Them get a kinhank 12 tb Drive they cost 300€ and are Plug and play

This is the ultimate Video game machine!!! right!! most people cannot afford this one!! but oh my God !! 96 terabytes!! wow this video blew my mind!! I didn't know emulation could get that interesting!! I looked up the guys website too and it costs like $5000 !! but yeah 96 terabytes emulated like that !! that' is the ultimate video game machine!!

exclusives. FYI:
For the Xbox one/PS4 and PS5 they are not emulated current systems, it's the PC version as most of the games are both PC and the system. It won't have any of the actual Console exsclusives. Xbox360 and PS3 are emulated.
As a 30+ IT Professional, Seagate Drives are the worst drives to use. I use Western Digital drives in all repairs and builds. Can you backup the drives to another 16TB drive?
your an it professional - OF COURSE YOU CAN!!!!
You say you are a 30+ year IT professional but ask such a simple question?! I'm confused.
@@knowledge4741 If I was going to put that much time creating a system. Charge 15k for it and probably program a custom launcher. I'd put some kind of copy protection on it. I realize a lot of the older games are considered abandonware some is not. I would not want to pay for a repair, that's why I prefer to use Western Digital drives. I would do a disaster recovery on another set of drives to make sure I never lost any data/game roms. Whats another 2 to 3k for a backup!
@@edwardkroll9344
ALL of these files are accessible online somewhere. There is NO protection because he doesn't own the files, he can't do that anymore than he can sell these games.
The custom frontend launchers are also available online freely - he didn't create that either.
NOTHING on this drive is his, all found online, just put together and sold because he took the time to do it. If the drives do fail, and those will eventually with the amount of stress on them, you will be out of luck.
I created a better version of this drive, I'm sitting at over 130TB worth of files at the moment, and I'm not done, took me near a month and way less money. AND on a better system with NAS backup if needed.
Can you hook this up to the tv
is this a reviewers build? Or did you buy this? This is awesome.
Looks amazing. But a lot of the text and background images look a bit rushed and compressed and could probably need some work.
Was thinking the same thing. The photoshop and layout is pretty rough. Wonder if you could change the theme or UI at all.
I usually go for the warez option if available. But that doesn’t hurt major companies. This guy deserves every penny he asks for his work. It is so amazing and impressive what we are getting here that I would feel like shit if used his work for free. Please support the creator so in the future maybe we will have something like a mini 4tb version for the xbox series available
Can you tell me more about the pc you're using to run this? Great video! Thanks!
That's what I need to know. Do I need a massive cpu to run this baby??
Where's a winning lottery jackpot ticket when you need one, lol! Seriously on my budget, I'll have to save up for this bad boy...if I won a million dollars, I know several awesome people I'd be surprise gifting these to, and still have plenty left over since those people number in the single digits at best.
I got the 3 drives 48 TB for $1900 everythings runs and works as it should and excepted Can play everything with my old computer... would never have the time fix everything with settings setup, i skipped 2 drives that are pc games, gonna add the last drive, so in total around $2500 all in all for 64 tb... only the drives is worth half the price of it
Insane price, I would never pay that. I created basically an exact copy of the 96TB for less than $1000.
AND I can customize the layouts, use my Steam games integrated, updates when I need and best of all, when those hard drives fail mine will be backed up and I won't be stuck paying another $2000.
@@knowledge4741 And i would never pay $3800 for 6 drives, i skipped 3 drives 2 drives with pc games. Also have to think the total price of 3 drives is more than half the price of the $1900 so what is left of just the frontends and the games
Does it have optional cheats software included for all games (EG invincibility, infinite ammo, max stats, have all items & equipment)? Trophy achievement system with optional resetting? A timer for speedruns? Remote access software to play anywhere in the world? 24/7 tech support in case new games are released?

@mormacfey4,794.00 CAD for the 96tb hard drive. You're just lying tbh. Not my problem since I can buy it for cheaper then what your 144tb cost anyway in gbp lol.
@@user-vp6cq4sv3d
$4800 CAD for the 96TB, but no system to run it. It translates to about £2800, but the cost of the hard drives is more like £1080. So they're charging £1720 just to copy some ROMs onto a hard drive.
The incredible thing is that the site is still online and not closed due to copyright infringements..... selling pirated games will take you to jail sooner or later...
i bought the 4tb RetroBeast version.. but didnt realize it was on a 3.5 inch drive.. i was going to install it in a Ace Magician mini PC.. so i had to buy a 4tb 2.5 inch Samsung SSD to copy it on so it will fit in the mini PC.. that hurt a little.. in the pocketbook that is.. so going to sell the 3.5 inch Hard drive once i convert.. 4TB is going to take a while to copy.. but once its done im going to have one bad ass portable retro setup..
So the 4tb is not a potable hard drive meaning it not an external one ?

Can you also press Ctrl F to find a game or is it endless scrolling? Adjust the emulators to 4k resolution or scale/ stretch the image to fit to screen. Is this Launchbox they used? And can you also manually change the controllers?
If its hyperspin everything is controlled manually for each game so its nice cuz you can save specific settings for each game launchbox is similar or you can copy and paste control settings to all games in a category but not every game will work flawlessly that way. Hyperspin is a better setup when purchasing a setup online as it should be configured specifically for each game... so if done correctly. Launchbox is better for diyers or if you want to edit stuff yourself in the future.
@@davidgomez5116 I have Launchbox free version setup on my 4080 laptop and bought 1 Bluetooth controller for each console and one with USB for Player 2. I can't imagine 96TB being unable to search for a specific game and are just endless scrolling. I bought a 5TB USB drive for all emulator games and use 4TB ssd for music programs and high demanding games. A DIY is a better choice I think.
Oh, I had two of those enclosures. I eventually replaced them with OWC enclosures (with Softraid)
Xbox One and ps5 are a pc games that were ported over. Definitely no emulator for those systems yet. You can definitely download all these games, but man that would be nuts. Assume each drive is like $180-$250 each new. Expensive and definitely not for me at $3800
The overwhelming majority of the space on this system are for the games you can't play. $3800 is a grotesque price if that's the actual price.

no emulator exists for these systems yet so you get the cheap pc knockoffs instead
I need one of those ASAP 😊 The only thing is I would want more emulators so say pc with games like Dungeon Keeper, Command And Conquer, titan quest, the settlers etc 🙂 I would certainly pay good money for that
Its nice, but misleading. Hes using the PC game versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Thats not being truthful.
I think he said he'll change it as soon as it's available but for now this is how it'll be? Just what I think I heard
As crazy as that sounds now hes on 128tb now working his way up to 160 terabyte.... And yes he does state looking at his last video update that the PS5 and PS4 are PC version.😁
Very expensive adnd asking for payment of illegal content.
this is every retro gamers wetdream
I would really like to see some gameplay demos it’s nice to have all the games, but do they all work?
Hyperspin or lb? Looks like lb, And which theme it uses? Nice. I def want that theme!
My 48 tb 3 drives wheel does not look like yours. It's some kind of combination of Launchbox, hyperspin and coinops, looks totally different... must been updated since i bougt my drive in spring
Howdy guy. I am confused. If I purchased the 96TB system, what about the controllers? I would think u can plug it in the 96TB unit, it would work. I have at least 3 controllers, SNES, N64, and NVIDIA SHIELD. But Windows sees some of them, but I can't program them. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Sam
I copied this next bit below from his comment that kind of answered the question --
********************
@pferreira1983 5 months ago So if this has every game why is there a 96TB version? Also for games requiring accessories like a guitar how are you supposed to play it?
@HyperArcadeSystems 5 months ago (edited) @pferreira1983 The title is obviously for the clicks. The 96tb vesion has about 40+ TBs of cracked PC games. My setup... focuses on arcade, pinball and consoles. It does have some pc games... Windows 3.1, Dos, Gog games. And pc racers and Pc fighting games. But thats it. You can use an xbox Guitar with clone hero and it has all the same music releases as the guitar hero/Rock band games. etc
********************
You've been putting out a ton of awesome videos and as far as I'm concerned, you're at the very top of the reviewers I have found on YT; clearly I am not alone on that opinion.
96 TB is wild you might as well be make that shit on the cloud
