As of producing this video, you can find this new system in C-Class, S-Class, SL, EQS, EQE & EQS SUV. As usual spec varies so check with your local Mercedes-Benz dealership if you're not sure.

Excellent job as usual. You are SPOT ON correct about the new MBUX in the 2022 S580. I love it and was SO easy to learn. I thought it would be a bit daunting at first, but a couple days in, and I felt like an expert! Of course, I watched everyone of your vids on this car, so I learned a lot of my tricks from you. Thank you Nick for the video. I would vote for the new camera system. The 3-D view of the car & surrounding area when driving around narrow pathways and parking close to the curb would be very helpful. My 2021 E-Class has surround view, but not as good as what you demonstrated in this new MBUX version.... oh, one other thing... I am not too keen on the fingerprint reader. My tablet & phone has that feature and the reader is finicky. If your finger is cold, wet or not in the same condition when you first set up the fingerprint reader, it will not recognize you.
For me it would be the camera system. Because, it would help people reduce getting curb rash on their rims when parking.
Thanks for another interesting video Nick. Love that vertical centre screen and think wireless Apple CarPlay would be top of my list. Hoping it makes its way down to more affordable models in the near future 👍

From what I've heard, the S series with the Hyperscreen has a camera focussed on your face and specifically your eyes (as a driver). If you try to watch a video playing on the passenger side screen, then it stops the video playing!
Hey Laurie! Yes it does scan the pupils of your eyes but sadly the two sided screen thing isn’t in the UK.
For the UK, the screen offers a 3D look without the need for 3D glasses 👓

The parking camera things have addiction on it.. im used to park using my glc 360 camera.. and when bought the older c207 coupe that has no parking camera.. I feel missing a lot and not confident to park.. even tho im used to park without camera at all before..

Thanks for the informative video Nick! I recently bought GLC 300 2021, do you know if latest MBUX software updates will allow for wireless Apple CarPlay?
No worries! Any updates for MBUX are primarily for Sat Nav navigation updates or security updates.
Sadly things like wireless Apple CarPlay sadly does not exist on the current GLC because it doesn’t have a wireless receiver for wireless Apple CarPlay.
Hi Nick, and thank you for this video, Mercedes is completely amazing love it and what’s next? Even more amazing cars, nick I own a A class 2021, and I wonder why my car have a center speaker but it’s not coming out sound from this? All other speakers play fantastic but just this one not playing, do you why maybe is some adjustment on the car’s screen? I don’t know, thanks one more time for all your videos, bye

Ah that central speaker doesn’t play music, it’s actually used for emergencies!
In the event that you were involved in a crash or you used the SOS emergency button in the roof, this is the speaker that is used. This is because in case the doors were hit, the speakers in the doors would be rendered useless due to the impact.
Hey Nick does the new MBUX CarPlay navigation integrate with the dashboard and head up display? And are there any changes to the dashboard and head up displays with the upgraded system?
It does sort of, you can’t of course view Apple CarPlay content on the instrument cluster but it does copy across Sat Nav instructions and if I remember the map too.
Yes the instrument cluster is different too, with different themes but it doesn’t have a customise each dial thing like the current MBUX. It’s more pre set themes (around 4-5 if I remember)

Hi Nick, great video. Will this version of Mbux this also be available on the 2024 GLS? Nick, some time ago I asked about integration of a FLIR PathFindIR (Thermal vision). I've found a different US thermal unit that can stream the thermal video via either Bluetooth or WiFi. Could I stream the thermal camera video feed to one of the mbux screens? Thanks Nick great video

MBUX will auto update over the air as long as it’s linked to your account with security bug fixes etc.
This one is this video is only found on models with a portrait screen, it shares the same name but won’t work with other models. Unique to those sadly!
How can I play RUclips on my Mercedes c class 2023. I tried going into web browser. It does load RUclips but don’t stream the video
Sadly you can’t, it’s not something Mercedes have installed in cars. I think they’re implementing some sort of thing called ZYNC in the future but not sure if it’ll have apps.
I am looking to cover this on the future though, to play video you’d need a separate device to do the video processing.

On this multimedia system you can tether your phone using internet or access wifi hotspots or pay to use data from the car 🤓

What is the data charge with the Mercedes Me Charge?
There’s no data charge, you just subscribe to the Mercedes me Charge service (I guess it’s included)

Not sure, Mercedes don’t disclose what thing you need to playback videos so it’s not always possible. It’s not something that’s officially supported I’m told. Would you please happen to know how I can adjust the rear View mirror on C 300 Class 2022 . Seems to be fixed 💁. No online manuals either
Hey kitty Burmese cats, the rear view mirror on Mercedes is just adjustable by grabbing both sides and moving it. It may be quite stiff if it’s new as it might not have been moved before!

Nick, my Android phone died last week, now up & running again, however, since reinstalling the MBUX App & pairing phone to my car, I can't get it to download my 'phonebook' have you done a video on this or if not, can you do one pls?
Hey Stuart if your phonebook’s not syncing on Android just ensure it is actually on the device. If it’s on the SIM card or Google Account, most of the time that won’t work.
If it is on the device, just unpair the phone from the car and unpair from car from the phone and start again.

Hey munir, sadly not all Mercedes can playback video. As it’s not a “spec” option, you kind of just have to try it.
Most commonly, cars that have Augmented Reality as an option from factory have faster processors and better graphics cards to actually playback video.
Where can I find option RUclips on mbux screen ? I have EQS !

Not an actual app, just navigate to the website
Make sure your car is connected via hotspot or wifi (I did it via wifi)

The centre screen looks good but it also looks harder to use because you’re having to look down, big screen all the way across the dashboard looks stunning, camera is cool.

Could you please tell us the reason Mercedes doesn't want us to activate the dashcam in the USA? Dealerships act like they don't know it's even there. They are hiding behind legal issues, but everybody has after market.
Hey Tafriqt, really sorry I wouldn’t know but I know “In-Car Recording” varies massively round the world. The UK only got this very recently but has been available in selected countries in Europe for a while.
Hopefully laws and things catch up, same with Intelligent Light systems in America, this has just recently changed too.

I ordered the dashcam when I special ordered the car with augmented reality video. It’s only a 720 resolution camera tho... wished MB had used a 1080 resolution camera instead...
@@davidlim8405 Can you do In-Car recording with the dashcam? Are you in the US? I have the AR package. I took apart the dashcam, and you could easily upgrade it.
@@zattut I am in the US. The dashcam only records outward, front facing. No inward, cabin facing camera. Who supplies a higher resolution camera replacement for this?
Picked up thr new c class last week. They gutted the gauge cluster customization. Huge miss. Was in a 2022 glb as a loaner, it had turn by turn in the gauge pulled from android auto. The "new" mbux doesn't do that or even 30% of what thr former mbux could do with gauges.
Yes it is slightly different, you can’t customise each dial like the previous one but there are 4-5 presets to choose 🤓
Can't watch any video on my C class, gives me an error, someone know why?

Hmmm Mercedes don’t publish that some cars can play video as always it might vary round the world so the best thing to do is probably just get in touch with them and see if they can let you know 🤓

Tesla's infotainment system is still a little better than Mbux.
Looks awful! Like someone stuck an odd iPad on the car. Much prefer the MBUX that runs across the front and looks integral to the car. The iPad version looks as though they forgot to include the MUBX system during the design process. Horrible.

You have to have a valid internet subscription in the car to do it, and sadly I’ve heard it’s not available everywhere.
The main point of internet in the car is to provide Wi-Fi to passengers but there is also a browser too. But if it’s just you in the car, there really won’t be advantage to paying monthly for your phone and the car.
