  • On the 100th anniversary of her father's birthday, Victoria Price reflected on her dad's memory to a packed audience at the Missouri History Museum in St Louis.
Sharing very personal family photos and video testimonies from her step-brother Vincent Barrett, Victoria gave us all a moving and inspirational portrait of Vincent as not only as an actor and cultural icon, but a caring, loving dad.
I would like to share with you just a few snippets from this engaging presentation in which Victoria introduces her talk, with help from her step-brother; tells us why she doesn't like horror movies; and shares her thoughts on how Tim Burton gave Vincent a new generation of fans.

I met Vincent several times in the 1970's. He was always friendly with his fans. He didn't mind signing autographs or posing for photos (I have two). He was a wonderful person and a great entertainer and I miss him. Thanks for this video.

I have also been a fan of Victoria Price's dad, Vincent Price, for many years since the early 1970s ,and I have admired his work on television and in the movies that I have seen on TV. I even had a crush on him from late 1973 to mid- 1978. I have never met him personally, but I had met him only in dreams that I had about him back in the '70s,including a scary dream about him that was loosely based on the old ABC-TV series Curiosity Shop. Had Victoria acknowledged and answered the first email I sent to her, I would have given her the details of that scary dream.

I really enjoyed this. I inherited my love of Vincent Price from my father so I've been watching his films my whole life. However, I have yet to make a concerted effort to see all of his films. Thanks to YT I may now do so & thanks to you for the inspiration. The photo montage at the end even brought a tear to my eye.
P.S. What does Victoria do for a living that she's such a great public speaker?

I only have one question, (At the very end) is that Vincent's hat at his funeral (2) is that The Whales Of August hat or (3) just something pretty?
