I honestly thought that the part from The Reynolds Pamphlet, was actually the part from Satisfied because they both say "I know my sister like I know my own mind you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind" But then I remembered it was Act 2. And I cried as I sang "If I tell her that I love him she'd be silently resigned."

Hi everyone! A lot of people are saying that they are embarrassed that we didn't get everything right and that they could do better. We filmed this VERY early into our love of Hamilton. At this point I had only heard the entire cast recording a couple times. If we were to film this now, it would be super easy for us. Please enjoy the video instead of leaving comments like that :) its not a competition.

Okay, I have to explain the "My dearest, Angelica, tomorrow and tomorrow..." part because it needs to be explained; Lin was referencing McBeth, a supposedly cursed play (you're not supposed to say McBeth in a theater, but it's okay since it's in the script, in most circles, a few would chide Lin for including that reference at all, but well, it's actually a really nice lyric in my opinion). If you look at the annotations on the official lyrics, there's a full explanation of the references to the characters. It's actually a really clever line and one of my personal favorites. No disrespect intended, of course, I only know so much about the superstition about McBeth because my mother was a stage manager at one point, it's sorta an obscure thing. BTW, I really enjoy your videos, you're awesome.
+Jared Winchester haha I actually knew that too! I've done theatre for years and that superstition was always talked about. I just didn't know that one particular line in Take a Break because my brain didn't understand it XD
JonasAlmostFamous Take A Break is literally one of my top 5 songs because Philip's rap in that just makes me so happy (and the "hey our kid is pretty great"), and that line took me like a month and looking at the lyrics and annotations twice to understand haha. Also, ohmygod ohmygod you replied to me, aaahh I'm so happy!

Haha "And Burnam Wood is Congress on its way to Dunsinane" is a plot point in Macbeth. It was so fun reading that play and realizing all of the references to it in Hamilton
