Lemmy the leader and bassist singer never thought of Motörhead as Metal, but as loud Rock and Roll. He is so respected as one of the real ones. RIP
"Great music to drive into a wall" - Lemmy
Well the guy DID have a voice like an out-of-control gravel truck (in a good way ofc).
@@andyb1653 Lemmy also said that Motorhead was the band that if they lived next door to you, your lawn would die. That pretty much sums up Motorhead.
Fantastic comment!
Motörhead were actually officially recorded as the loudest band in the world.
It would be great to react to other bands that have held that record like Manowar and Kiss
You've never experienced ringing in your ears if you haven't seen them live. Two weeks minimum
Actually that's Manowar
@@remove_marko True, but The Who held the record previously.
It's Mogwai but whatever.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
When I listen to Motörhead
The city does too. . . .
mortensen1961
Lolol
"The only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud"
The man said so himself.
amen bro my city does too
The entire f**king world does too
You're not being loud enough.
The first Motörhead show I was at in '96, they came out and Lemmy said "We're Motörhead and we're gonna kick your arse!" Then they started Iron Fist...
Lemmy's bass needs to be in the Smithsonian.
Along with his moushtache and hat.
Let them f..ing into R & R Hall of Fame FIRST!
@Neil McFarlane There have been quite a few, ya know? The Beatles, The Stones, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, the list goes on. Britain's contribution to rock and metal cannot be understated. Even fucking Slash is from Stoke-on-Kent.
Robert Craane the Hall stole a pair of boots and his Ace of Spades tour jacket. To quote Lemmy, "they owe me a jacket before I'll even talk to em."
Yes yes yes and fucking yes got my vote hash tag that shit
LEMMY...The most badass Rock n fkn Roller ever...
I'll say. At the end of his life he was so weak, he could barely stand up at their final show. They told him to cancel, but he insisted they get him out on the stage. He was loyal to his fans right to the end.
"If this dont give you a rush....you dead"...🤣🤣🤣
Shake your head, you must be dead if it don't make you fly
Rock and Roll ain't worth the name if it don't make you strut
She gets it
Lemmy was a legend RIP ✌
он и остается ею !
Lemmy would have been 75 years old today...The world is a duller, quieter place without him 5 years later. Remember him for what he always wanted to be, an honest man. Cheers on Christmas Eve 2020.
Motorhead is one of the cornerstones of metal
I've seen this song played four times. It was the last song of their set. Best way to end an Motörhead concert.
RIP Lemmy, you are missed
i always called them rock and roll, not really metal so much, but blues based rock and roll, done fast and loud...lovely
I seen Motorhead perform live in Cleveland when they opened up for Dio and Iron Maiden about 12 years ago. My ears are still ringing!
Loudest band I have ever seen... I could feel the guitar solos in my teeth.
Yessssss lol
@@OhMyGoshIndia hey did you knew that this is not the fastest version ?
Check out: no sleep til hammersmith overkil ( or any no sleep til hammersmith live album song they all rock fast af )
Great video by the way!
My first rock concert was Motörhead. I remember being about 15 feet away from the lead guitarist's amp, and the ringing did not stop for a week after I left the show.
What a great reaction! Please, maybe listen to Motörhead - 1916. About the first world war, and is COMPLETELY different & sadly beautiful. It shows a different side to Lemmy (yes, he's the lead singer & bassist), the historian & poet. For countless thousands, Motörhead command a respect & almost fanatical passion that is as close to a religion as music can create (& that includes me). UK love & respect. Motörheadbangerforlife. Rock In Peace, Lem.
...GAY
Gay? Nah.. more like correct
@@gorillaump5869 talking about yourself ay fuck face
Hammersmith Odeon. Lemmy, Filthy Phil, Eddie Clark. Superb!
William Wallace
Hands down!
The only line up who truly nailed this was Lemmy Phil and Eddie. This is the tribute version with the non catchy guitar soloing 🤘🤘🏻🤘
I saw Motorhead in Tampa, Florida in 1988 and the band Overkill opened up for them.
What you will never get over is how loud it was. I first saw them in 1979 Overkill tour , it was LOUD. , days of your ears ringing where a given, all part off seeing Motorhead. Which I did in the end 13 times, not bad after a 23 year gap. Lemmy was Mr Rock and Roll
Saw them @ Lyceum Ballroom, Strand, London, April 1979, then twice @ Hammersmith Odeon London 1980. sound record broken at Hammy. Met Lemmy in photographers pit, front row Thin Lizzy Hammy Odeon Feb 1980. Yes... I shook his hand. No BS. Just for the record. Awesome performer. Total professional. Saw it thru till the end.
"We Are Motörhead And We Play Rock n Roll !!" 🏴☠️👍🏾✌🏾
There is a high probability that what became thrash metal would not exist without Motorhead and the late Ian 'Lemmy' Kilminster. An unapologetic self-abuser and evangelist of the pure rock and roll life-style, he remains in opposition to a modern culture. But in doing so, emphasizes how conformist we may have become.
Succintly put, and on the proverbial nail's head. If I lived down the street from ya, I'd buy you a Jack & coke after Lemmy's own fave.
Saw Motorhead a few times and they never disappointed. Great rock band from the UK.
Oh ya , got Motorhead tattooed on my neck !!! For a long period Motorhead was known for loudest concert around !!! Good for you young one , carry the torch !!! Respect
Welcome to the energy and madness that was Motorhead!!
Lemmy Kilmister (birth name: Ian Fraser Kilmister) was the lead singer and bassist for Motorhead. He had a music career that spanned over 50 years. He died of prostate Cancer in 2015, at the age of 70.
Just remember when this came out!!! This just blew everyone away!!! (Saw them in Germany at a bike rally.......fuckn epic!!)
Okay. That intro got my heart ❤️😄
'"We are MOTORHEAD we play rock n roll" Lemmy , very loud and very fast.
And, my god, how loud they were! My ears are still singing Ace of Spades after 13 years!
you're so cool!! i love your reaction vids. keep up the great job
It all comes down to this: Lemmy (bass & lead vocals) had a habit of starting off a show with, "we are Motörhead and we play Rock & Roll!"
First time I saw them was 1985 at the 10th anniversary gig in Hammersmith.
Nearest comparison with that level of noise is standing right next to a Saturn V rocket at take off.
Dangerous at best. Still, as Lemmy said, it's rock and roll.
And that’s why it’s called overkill. The closing track of all closing tracks
Love your vids and reactions young lady 🤘
MOTOR HEAD 'THE GAME'💪🤘
Lemmy Kilmister(singer and lead guitarist),..legend,Rock God!!
Someone finally gets it! I love you.
I saw them at a small auditorium at the university of British Columbia back around 1980. The place was half empty. I was center stage up front with lots of room around me. Like a private showing. It was so loud my cloths were blowing backwards. Couple times I thought I was having heart problems with the base penetrating through my chest. One of the best times I ever had.
Thats the cool thing about Motorhead. I wouldnt say they are technical musicians, or have deep lyrics. They are just pure raw rock and roll.
we are motorhead and we play rock and roll
That's an interesting opinion. I have found some of Lemmy's lyrics to be some of the deepest I've ever heard. He's a rock version of Nietsche.
@@UnPluggingThePlayer Just my opinion. Music is deeply personal, and everyone reacts/feels differently to certain songs, so I get.
@@fordap74 that's true. 10 years ago I might have overlooked some of his song lyrics and thought it was evil. Now some of his songs make me think he was a rock prophet of his time. But for sure he had a lot of fluff song lyrics too, no doubt about it.
I'm not sure if it is true that lemmy sais, that if u Cant play well play loud.
I saw motorhead religiously every year for decades. It really was like going to church. I also had the great pleasure of meeting the great man himself. Total gentleman. I got to hang out with him in L. A. For a few nights.. R. I. P. Lemmy and Co. 🙏
Motorhead will live forever!
This is from Dusseldorf 2005, I think. Stage Fright tour. I believe the whole concert can be found on youtube. It's well worth a watch, and a listen. It was a good gig.
Great live rendition of overkill.
Excellent choice 👍👏👌 RIP LEMME 💪
The Godfather of heavy metal God bless Lemmy
I went to a lot of Motorhead gigs, i now wear a hearing aid.
I still have my unused tickets from the last four in 2015 I miss Lemmy
*FaceMelters* "Imma die doing it" - Lemmy
You hit the nail on the Motörhead. It’s speed metal!
I saw Motörhead several Time Live,BUT THIS CONCERT IN MY HOMETOWN (!) Düsseldorf/Germany was the Peak of them all.Unforgettable Sound and Audience!....you should check out the whole "Stage Fright" DVD from this Show....by the way,i am also seen in the Bonus Material under "Fan Reaction " ;)
You need to watch their performance of "Sacrifice" from the same show. The drum solo is insane.
You know Indi, compared to you I'm a dinosaur, but I also learned about them relatively late, about 15 years ago. It was so great to re-live how it was to be first amazed by this band through you. Thank you! I'm also lucky enough to have seen them live 3x, they were mind blowing. I mean Ozzfest with Pantera was my absolute top concert experience, but the 3 Motorhead concerts definitely made it my top 5. When you hear: "We're Motorhead and we play Rock&Roll", that's wild! Love the dreads, cheers!
you know the Monster on Puppets show ..this Drummer is the Monster^^
Lemmy's bass is so cool on this video
Mikky Dee, prolly the greatest Heavy Metal Drummer.
“Everything louder than everything else.”
yess thank you, this is the best song fucking ever
Love this SONG. Great SONG off a great album. R I P. LEM
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Lemmy Kilmister is a rock god, RIP lemmy
In this line up, it was Lemmy as the vocalist/bassist, Phil Campbell on guitar and Mikkey Dee on drums. Killer lineup with their own charm that paid proper respect to but also forged its own legacy alongside the classic lineup of Lemmy, guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke and drummer Phil Taylor. That lineup was something special as well. Try to find a clip from the late 1970s-early 1980s.
"If Motörhead moved next door to you, your lawn would die." --- Lemmy
We need more Classic Motorhead on this Channel.
We are Motorhead....and play rock and roll!!!!!
To experience a different side of this band: "God Was Never on Your Side", kind of a semi-ballad and very powerful lyrics. There's also "1916" and "Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me", all fantastic songs that with lyrics that will leave you an emotional wreck.
Yeah God was never on your side is so good! And Orgasmatron of course!!
One More Fucking Time, I Ain't No Nice Guy, Love Me Forever are great also
OVERKILL OVERKILL OVERKILL
Nice headbang girl.
We're motorhead we play rocknroll. R. I. P. Lemmy ❤️
🤣🤣🤣🤣💙💙💙💙 Everything you said!!!
Welcome to MOTORHEAD, not just a band a way of life!
The Godfathers of all the best bands in the world to come..
Overkill distills the best parts of rock nd roll to me
How Lemmy was able condense that into this one song is still genius to me
Thumbs up for the beautiful haedbanging!
Lemmy vocals + bass, Phil guitars, Mickey drums. You nailed it w/ the analysis. This cut is pure power, raw and intense. The vid is from 04. Sadly, all original members of MOTORHEAD are no longer with us Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, Phil 'Filthy Animal' Taylor, 'Fast' Eddie Clark RIP gentlemen and well done. Mickey Dee is currently the drums for the Scorpions and Phil Campbell is w/ Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.
Imagine, in real life he was the sweetest guy you'd ever met... I never forgot what he said to me, 'It was this, or become a plummer, so..."
Great content you produced! Oh btw have you React to Unleash The archers? Like Time stands still or Awakening?!! Good music kinda old school Power metal.
thanx react india, lemmy is god. sadly i never have pleasure to see live. you go see minute milk video,it was taken just before lemmy die. Tribute video for Lemmy Kilmister by Valio
I love motorhead ! I recommend judas preist -got another thing coming and lets see,... harry Belafonte Jamaica farewell lol
best rock song ever
I saw them four times - twice in 1987 and twice in 1988
What u need to remember is they are getting that huge sound from a true #3piece band. Lemme is basiclly playing back up guitar and lead #bass at the same time with his playing style. Watch the #lemmemovie that came out in 2010 or 11. Its amazing.
You should review the last filmed performance of Overkill from Clean Your Clock.
Lemmy was the bassist vocalist and only original member of the band left. Sadly he passed away from cancer at 70 in December 2015
Lemmy got thrown out of Hawkwind (check them out... Lord of Light from the Space Ritual album, some of Lemmy's best work on acid) for taking the wrong drugs and started Motorhead in about 1975/76. originally to be called "Bastard" until they realised they'd never get radio time with a name like that. Together wit Fast Eddy on guitar and Philthy Phil on drums they released three of the best rock/metal albums ever made. Personally I don't think Motorhead ever did a bad album (some badly recorded one for sure, good songs though), but Overkill, the overlooked but excellent Bomber, and Ace of Spades are just brilliant. Energy is the word. I saw the Overkill tour on 79. Best gig ever. While the later years sometimes made a thing out of sounding rough the guys were on top form then and sounded brilliant. I was 15 and and never knew anyone could do that! Good to see that what made bands like them so good is still being discovered. You get it! Try Live To Win or Love Me Like A Reptile off Ace of Spades (The title track is great but no one ever hears the others which are equally good), Stone Dead Forever or Bomber from that album, No Class or Stay Clean from Overkill. Can't go wrong really. This is one of my favorites from later years... ruclips.net/video/Cad2JYi4F0I/видео.html ... Evolution. Good luck and enjoy!
Call it the early stages of thrash metal
Rock 'n' Roll the way it was meant to be played.
Very good
Best band ever!❤️
May be my favourite rock/metal song ever. Had tickets to see motorhead twice, first time I was sick and the second was cancelled . Gutted
600 encores is the signature of "Overkill".
Allow me to speak on behalf of all the fellas when I say you're the sexiest reactor on YT. You're reaction to this was pure 🔥
Fuck yeah, long live Motorhead
Two things I like that were said about Lemmy; 1 He was a twisted force of nature. 2; If Lemmy did not exist someone would have to invent him. I am not a big Motörhead fan. Some songs I do like but I can’t take it full on all the time. However, say what you like about Lemmy you just could not ignore him. I was there from the Hawkwind days, his base was a big part of their sound. A sad day when he passed.
RIP Lemmy rest easy legend
Might as well try the band Overkill next - they were named after this album. Always appreciate your enthusiasm! 😉
Just a quick reminder, Lemmy was in his Early 60s doing this
You got it! If it's too loud then you are too old!
Lemmy is not lead guitar & vocals, he plays bass,(admittedly like lead) & vocals. I don't know if you'll see this comment but you could do yourself and subscribers a huge favour, and play the track , "1916". You'll see how versatile Motörhead actually are, how great Lemmys lyrics are, and you'll probably cry at the lyrics. "WE ARE MOTÖRHEAD AND WE PLAY ROCK & ROLL !!!" 🏴☠️👍🏾✌🏾
That was one hell of a concert and performance. Evrery song was performed to perfection. Pure raw brilliant rock n roll ! Have a go at reacting to a few others such as whorehouse blues, iron fist or Just Cos You Have The Power.....
You would never guess he was addicted to speed and alcohol when he wrote this song :) He known as the Godfather of Speed Metal and Thrash Metal for a reason. The OG.
Yesssssssss!!!!
We are are MotorHead ,and we play Rock-and-roll
