Thinking about ditching my spotter for these....carry my 10x42 in my harness and these in the backpack for tripod use. The spotter field of view leaves a lot to be desired.
Thanks! I'm in the market for a set of binoculars for hunting in the west where it's open. I've used zeiss 15x60 this heavy they were fine on a tripod. Sounds like maybe these might be a better option
Glad it was helpful! I've been trying out some 15's this year to see how they compare to 18's and I think the difference is minimal. In fact, there might be a couple of benefits to 15's in that you can hand hold them if you needed to for a quick look at something whereas the 18's certainly make that more difficult to do. 15's are also smaller so there's that. Either way, I've loved both of them so you really can't go wrong!
@@EmoryByLand thank you that was actually a concern of mine with 18x was hand held viewing, the zeiss 15x60 were ok but you can definitely feel and see shakiness. I have a pair of conquest 12x45 unfortunately one side wont focus lol I plan to send after January for repair. I'm torn now between 15x or 18x either way I'm pretty sure I'll be happy lol thanks
Depends on whether or not I plan on actually using them. For hunting, yes. For a general hike… I have in the past but I don’t normally. It really just depends on what I’m trying to do out there.

Bam! Nailed it. If you’re not looking to count hairs, you’ll be very happy with them.
That’s what I ended up doing. My 8x42 on my chest and I now have the 18x56 to sit and glass all day. Simple and works great.

Would you carry binocs on a long hike?

Uhd 15x56 is better then leupould 12x50 ??
now no longer made in Japan, they are made in China. It will be a cold day in h3ll , that I pay that kind of money for binoculars made in China.
UHD models are made in Japan again. Not China.
That's like saying there's no quality items coming from China.. untrue
