Wow you even got blown a kiss goodbye !!! Top service. Whilst of course the onboard aspect of an upgrade to Club Europe is a big part of the experience, many people forget the other aspects of the service such as the huge hold luggage allowance, lounge access, dedicated check-in desks in many locations, fast track services, plus almost double avios and tier points on many routes among other things. Sometimes it really can pay to upgrade.
Lol - that was actually because I'd had a bit of a nose bleed mid flight (nothing serious, but enough that I needed to ask for some napkins) - its actually the CC saying "I hope your nose is ok", but you'll not be able to hear that 😁
It's always nice if/when you are able to fly in CE. This trip was a means to an end as I needed some TPs to hit target to renew my gold at the year end. Was a great crew - which tbh, most of the BA crews I've had tend to be.
Reminded me of my last BA flight from T3. We boarded a bus and we’re driven to a stand just off the side of T5. Kicker was we had to make our way from T5 to T3 two hours earlier by Tube!
excellent video mate! I've got a 5 hour layover in the upcoming trip to Dubai (GLA to LHR to DBX) and thinking of getting the bus from T5 to T3 for the lounge hopping. especially looking forward to the Cathay and Qantas lounge.
Thanks - glad you enjoyed the video. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to access T3 unless your flight is departing from there - you'll be turned away by security at the transit desk. If your Dubai flight is departing T3 then no issue, but I think its likely to be leaving T5 - either B or C gates.
Good video... Did you go to Gothenburg just to create an excuse to travel through T3 late in the day??? That's exactly what I did with an upcoming trip to Valencia!!! I'm sure tipsiness didn't factor into not noticing the battery was flat!!! I'm not in love with the Qantas lounge for some reason... Cathay is fab and it looks like the AA lounge has had a refurb since I was last there but expectations are still going to be low even if the space is fresher. And I don't hate the BA F lounge - its quite spacious at least?
T3 was 100% a factor in destination choice :-). I liked the Cathay lounge best - Qantas was nice, but kind of gwt what you mean. Didnt get a chance to try the food, but in terms of space and feeling, I think Cathay won out. However, have you seen the news that Qantas is building a new First Class lounge in T3? Currently lounge to be rebounded as Qantas Business Lounge. A couple of years away though.
Thats a yes to both - you pass through border control when you arrive into Gothenburg and then also when you are leaving you go through them again. At Heathrow you can use the egates if you are a UK passport holder, but you still have to pass through border control.
Another great video, pal.

@GLA_Fly haha ! Thats a very good get out clause 😉 In all serious though, glad it was nothing serious. Probably not helped on from the dry cabin air 👍
@@aidengillag i get them infrequently thankfully, but its not unknown.

Thats a nightmare when it happens, but its not so bad when you get to watch nice planes on the way past :-).
Nice video.
@@mikiewifnoe360 thank you!

@@GLAFly Thanks for the head up.... 5 hours in Terminal 5 it is.
@@b8you still plenty of time to lounge hop in T5 - you might find T5b is quieter (not sure if you've been there before or not?)
@@b8you good tool for you is the BA Lounge capacity checker - ba-uk-occupancy.livereachmedia.com/ gives you a live view of how busy each lounge is.

Did you go through customs in heathrow, or in gothenburg?
