Hi all, In this discussion page, I would like all of you to post me any questions on General driving, Circuit Courses, Test information, anythings that regards to your practical lessons? I will try and find out more for you and glad to solve your issues.
Hello Victor, Thank you for making these helpful videos. May I request for BBDC Test route 6, 8 and 9 please? Sincerely appreciate your hard work here. I am also having big time challenges doing S course in the circuit. (can't seem to get out of S course without hitting kerb) Thank you.
Hi first of all thank for your support. I am sorry I could not comply with all test routes you mentioned within a short period. But I will try my best to make test route 6 asap especially for you. Hope you can understand as I will be doing all the test routes for 3 schools in sequence. The reason why you are hitting the kerb when you exit the S course (I believe you are hitting the rear left tyre when you are turning left) is because you could not see the kerb on your left and you are turning the wheel too early. What you can do is keep your car slightly to the right as you will be able to see better (closer to you) and turn the steering wheel to the left after the edge of the S course kerb (Almost the end of the S course). Another way is to look at the right white dotted lane divider and keep close to it when you are turning out of the S course then you will not hit the kerb on the left. You can try one of the 2 methods I mentioned and see which one suit you more. Hope this information does help you.
I just took this test route 1 for my TP test today. I don't know if the route has changed but my tester told me to turn left onto Choa Chu Kang Way, then make a discretionary right turn onto CCK AVE 1, then another discretionary right turn into Teck Whye Ave. These are the only 2 discretionary right turns for this route. The remaining of the route is the same as per this video. Thank you Victor for your very informative and helpful video! It really helped me alot in my tp test. Side note: please note the U-turn for this route on CCK RD you are supposed to turn to lane 1, not lane 2, even tho it's not a very wide U-turn as compared to the one at Bukit Batok Rd. Also once you turn out left onto CCK RD from Teck Whye Ave, the distance to the U-turn in front is very short so please try to keep right immediately. Just wanna share my test mistakes and experience: Passed my tp test 1st try with 14pts under private candidate. 4pts for abrupt lane change and 6pts for failure to slow down when approaching road hazard during test route. Another 4pts for abrupt lane change and 2pts for wide turn inside circuit. You have 1 free count for wide turn inside circuit so the first 2pts won't be tabulated in the final score. Tbh after passing my TP test the main key advice I would like to give is to be CONFIDENT and trust yourself and the skills that were taught to you be it by your own instructor or by Victor's videos. Or at least show that you're confident. It's normal to feel nervous at the holding area till the point u get into your car with the tester. But just tell yourself to treat the tester like how you first met your instructor for the first time. I know it's hard and easier said than done but you just have to do it. Be confident and make sure to check safety and blind spots. I make it a habit to check 360 degrees everywhere before I reverse or move off. As for my mistakes, I can't give much advice on abrupt lane changes as I don't remember doing that. I made it a point to change lane by lane after safety checks. I think it's because you would want to keep to the left or right lane asap after hearing the tester instructions or after completing a turn, hence the abrupt lane changes. In another words too "kanchiong" or change lane too fast I believe. For this better to have Victor or your instructor to touch on more. For my 6pts mistake on failing to slow down when approaching road hazard, my tester said that the road hazard was actually referring to the traffic light. Please note on big straight roads like Bukit Batok Rd and CCK rd, please make sure to release accelerator during the point B and A theory when approaching traffic lights as you are probably going at a higher speed. During your TP test, at the front of the car you will have another sign beside your L plate that says Traffic Police Test in progress. It is meant for other drivers to be more gracious and give way to you during your TP test. For me I was v lucky and you can really see more than usual cars slowing down to give way to you when changing lanes be it inside circuit or on outside road. However please don't take this for granted as it's really luck. Rule of thumb is to always check safety and blind spot before lane change or turning. My TP test was on a weekday 2pm so traffic was ok too. If you're on this channel you're most probably a private candidate. Please note that every instructor has thier own methods and style of teaching and turning points when it comes to the parking and directional change etc. I tried both Victor's method and my instructor method and did what best fits me. There's no right or wrong, or good or best. As long as during the tp test you are able to execute the manovere. Also please don't be afraid to try again if you think your turning point is abit off during the TP test. I only managed to vertical park on my 2nd try. Victor's video on corrections for parking really helped me alot in this case. Last but not least during the circuit, there will probably be another car waiting behind you to finish or waiting to do a manovere at the same lot. Please don't be "kanchiong" and rush into it. Just tell yourself it's ok to let them wait. It's perfectly fine as long as you complete your manovere within the stipulated time. All the best and good luck! Once again huge credit to Victor for your effort in this channel it really helped me alot and I believe have helped thousands of others too. Cheers!

Hi Victor, thank you so much for your channel, it is so helpful! Can you please let me know if I will be able to watch all the BBDC test routes if I pay to join the channel? Thanks!
Hi, firstly if you are not very sure of the road condition, you should slow down just in case the traffic light turn amber and you can stop before the yellow box. (Sometime there is a one car length space in front of the yellow box near traffic junction). But if you are near the yellow box and the light is still green then you should proceed without looking at the traffic light again. At least you will not be hesitant to proceed or stop the car.
hi at 3:08 if the tester ask to go straight since we already at left, and in front have 3 lane but left turn , when shud we be in the middle lane to keep straight and avoid staying at turning left?
Please phase your question again... I do not understand? If the tester ask you to go straight and you are on the left lane which is turning left only, of course you need to lane change to the right to go straight.
@@CarRefresherCourseCentre i mean when we in the between cck ite and scdf there(3 lanes). we already at left lane, and ahead after junction is 3 lane but left lane is turning left, and if instructor didnt give any instruction, shud we maintain that lane (ahead turning left) or we shall go the middle lane to keep straight(no instruction given).?
You can inch forward at all cross junction for right or U turn when traffic light is green except for those with traffic light right turn arrow is red.
hello sir just want to ask: if i want to lane change but no space for me to change because cars are moving, should i maintain speed and just wait for gap or slow down until no more cars beside me? also, am i allowed to come to stop completely if really no chance to change lane but i need to make a turn? lastly, if no space in the formation lane when making right turn, do i stop and block the cars behind me while waiting to enter the lane?
Hi first question, you should keep your signal on and slow down to wait for opportunity to lane change. It all depend on the road condition if you cannot lane change and need to stop. But for sure you cannot stop in the middle of the road just to wait for the lane change. Your last question I do not understand. Sorry.
Hi Victor. I took my 3rd TP Test a few months ago but the tester didn't give me instruction where to go during my test. He just sat quietly inside the car and say he doesn't allowed to give me the instruction and i should remember the route by myself. 😢😢😢
Hi yellow box is meant for turning vehicles from the left or right. You need to stop your vehicle before the yellow box if there is not enough space for your vehicle in front of the yellow box due to traffic at the front.
hello, at 7:03, if the traffic light is green but there are pedestrians crossing, do we wait at the stop line or do we stop just before the pedestrian crossing?
You should stop slightly in front after the stop line. Even though there isn't any right turn pocket, you can still inch forward just ensure your car do not block the oncoming vehicle.
Hi, the speed limit at the small lane is 50 km\h. you should regulate the speed according to the situation of the road and at 4.45 there is a hump ahead, you can slow down but there is no fixed speed. Speed you feel is suitable for going over the hump. Unless at that moment you speed is slow, then can just release the accelerator and let the car go over the hump.
I believe it’s silver zone here, so don’t exceed 40kph. And it is one lane and a lot of bends with jaywalkers and elderly, so just go around 30 and 20+ during tight bend. This was my test route during tp

For 8:27 overtake the cyclist i thought must give 1.5m clearance to the cyclist? Will we be faulted if we just steer slightly away from the cyclist?

Hi, I don't know the close distance you mentioned is how close and what is the situation like.
Hello Victor, as I don't really remember all the road routes, may I know if the tester will tell you where to turn when needed?
Hi yes the tester will inform you early where to turn.
At 12:20 is that line considered as stop line? When turning into bbdc
No it isn't. Is a road divider.
When should we actually need to check blind spot? Isit every single turning regsrdless small or big?
