They really managed to evolve Kong from a mediocre Kaiju into a really lovable and cool one. Kong is the heart of these movies now and Godzilla is the enforcer coming in.

The reason godzilla most likely attacked kong is since kong never actualy submitted to godzilla in GvK and is still considered an alpha titan, so kong being back on the surface can be seen by godzilla as him challenging godzilla and his first natural response is to protect his territory and title, so he doens't care what kong has to say.
I’m honestly surprised he doesn’t immediately realize the threat in the hollow earth. But if Mothra is in this movie like some people said, he will soon enough.

@@strenuousspider9525 yeah it’s just too early to tell if he purposefully decided to attack kong or was still under the effects of his power up and since there isn’t any direct dialog between the two we can only speculate. I’m sure it’ll become clear once we see the whole fight.

Bruh till now Kong was in the assumption that he is the sole Alpha of the Hollow earth and naturally felt the last of his kind. He not only realized that he has more of his kind kept prisoner by an ancient ape titan who has millions of years of fighting experience paired along with the ability to control a humongous frost titan twice bigger than him and Godzilla combined together. I honestly think Kong deserves a vacation. Noticed how I mentioned millions of years of fighting experience for Skar King because there are rumors that Skar even witnessed the great titan war which ended up destroying the Kong species and Godzilla species forever. Maybe there are more Godzilla species too somewhere in the hollow earth..
