    Just a nitpick about the first trick - the horizontal wooden piece *is* actually wood, not printed - you can see it has thickness if you look at the shadow of the magician's head thrown onto it - the shadow is offset to the right by its thickness.

    We can also observe that the brown color is clearly coming from top and goes down. At 15:38 the top of the liquid is quite brown already while the bottom is still clear water. If it were a reaction between spoon and liquid then the color should appear everywhere around the metal.

    • @Sleve-McDichael
      @Sleve-McDichael Месяц назад

      Yeah, I don't think that one was explained at all, the recap of the trick doesn't show him saying the stuff the explanation showed. How did he get them all to cut the deck in the same place?

    • @irehman7
      @irehman7  Месяц назад

      He didn't get them all to cut the deck in the same place because it didn't matter where they cut too. Take a deck of cards, positions the cards as demonstrated and follow David blaine's instructions, you'll understand it better. Trying to imagine this won't help, which is why you are confused.

  • @robadams1645

    I wonder if the "needle" on the card was actually a stiffened piece of tinsel or tin foil. That way it would crumple under his hand instead of having to rely on moving the hand back as it's coming down. That's pretty risky if you get the timing wrong.

    • @irehman7
      @irehman7  7 месяцев назад

      Maybe pay a little more attention. The air pressure shot through the nozzle is controlled with a steady increase and decrease in pressure. A sudden burst of air would obviously cause a mess, no one is that dumb here.

    Most of the time, I think your explanations are accurate; however, in this video I'm not buying the explanation for trick two. If it was an air nozzle blowing the liquid, there would be much more turbulence in the air and the liquid. Maaybe if the nozzle was very close to the liquid I could believe it, but there appears to be too much distance.

    Great analysis as usual. But for the David Blaine card trick, did he use multiple outs? Sure they will end up with the same card. But what if the audience choose number other than 4?

    • @scottm2649
      @scottm2649 Год назад

      He explained that in the video. The guy was asked to pick a number between 1 and 5. There were 5 cards with double backers and all 5 cards were in the same order in everyone's deck. So if he said 2 they would all pick the 2nd card and they still would have all the same card. A different card from the one shown here but all their cards would still be the same.

    • @irehman7
      @irehman7  Год назад

      @scottm2649 Thanks for clarifying!

    • @MrKockabilly
      @MrKockabilly Год назад

      Yeah I got that, the audience will always end up with similar card. But whatever card that is, David Blaine will then has to force that same card on Jimmy. In a way that's multiple outs since Jimmy has to be ready to force on Jimmy any of the five cards as needed.

    • @scottm2649
      @scottm2649 Год назад

      @@MrKockabilly The audience followed along with Jimmy. Jimmy got the same stacked deck as the audience members. So as long as everyone followed the directions, they would have the same card, which is one of the 5 cards stacked depending on the number the audience member chose. Since he was instructed to pick a number between 1 and 5 it didn't matter what number was picked.

    • @MrKockabilly
      @MrKockabilly Год назад

      @@scottm2649 Oh I guess my concern arises because there is a portion not shown from the original video. While Jimmy did the same procedure as the audience, in the original video the pinned card that he slammed on the table came from David Blaine's deck. It was forced to Jimmy through a riffle after the audience has chosen a number
