He says that his intention was not to become more rich, he was just securing his future for the family because he thought the money he had right then was not forever (I think this thought come from the band possible collapse after the left of Brian), he made a decision and thought this was a good decision, which turns out it wasn't. But from all of that, he is still going strong as a solo artist, and now come back with the band. I truly respect him not only as an entertainer, but as a person too.

Shane is a good person, though he may had bad decisions but his intentions were not at all bad. People could say the worst in him, but to me he is a good example of life's survival. Go Shane, now you have my respect. Before, I just admired you as an artist with a very beautiful voice... But now as an honest and a strong individual.

I’ve read his book, i really got an impression of him as a very, very devoted and loving husband and father, who wanted the best for his family, but sometimes things doesn’t always work out the way we wanted or hoped for. Was the debt thing great thing? No, absolutely not. But he learned from it big time, that’s for sure! After seeing this interview with him, i got even bigger respect for him. Also, one of best if not the best interviews i ever watched. Some questions were hard to answer, but Shane pulled off great!
