I have an arachnoid cyst at the back of my head. It got diagnosed two years ago, but doctor said it was unproblenatic. I had major health problems since then. Head pressure exactly at the same location, nausea, backpain etc. Going to have a second MRT soon and discuss potential treatment.
Wow this hits home….I have one and have never had issues. 20 years later I am now having pressure, weakness, fatigue, dizziness and nasua all day. I think it’s from the cyst.
@@brandondeener Hey folks, I was examined by two neurologists with two years in between and they could not recognize any visible pahological "pressure" of the cyst on sourrounding tissue. I am accepting it for the moment and I would also recommend people with similar complaints to not focus to heavily on the searching for a single, clear cause. Medicine does not understand a lot of conditions and especially when different factos come into play simultaneously. In the end we often dont know how close mental and physical health are connected with each other and for me personally it is helpful to not focus to much on any kind of pontential concrete condition.
I was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst when I was 17 had hit my head trying to do a back flip n 3 month later on Boxing Day I was taken to hospital after falling sick and not being able to speak properly, I know what I was trying to say but my words were coming out backwards My arachnoid cyst takes up a quarter off my brain, had my first surgery to drain the flue if that was causing major pressure in my brain which went well and got released on New Years even without the surgeons checking my final brain scan End of January a get pulled back in and had a bleed to the back of my brain and also more fluid leaking to the back aswell Had to get another 2 holes to drain the remaining blood and fluid 2 years later I’ve fully recovered and trying to get on in life so lucky to be alive
i was diagnosed with one when i was 4 years old and i’m so scared to get it removed bc my sits behind my right eye and me watching this got me a little more confidence to see about getting the surgery
hey girl! im so sorry for my super delayed response. I didnt expect this video to keep getting traction, I made this for a class in college. im glad I could bring you some comfort!
My baby has an arachnoid cyst he is already 12 years old now , hope that he will recover soon ,what do you recommend for my child , did the surgery is effective and no side effect?, located in the left brain, he has a seizure, is arachnoids can be treated?
My brother was just diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst in the prefrontal cortex of his brain. He has severe headaches, vision problems, and nausea. He has been sick for a long time he is 25 years old. The doctor said its been growing since 2012. Does anyone have any advice on treatment option? We are waiting to speak to doctor about where we go from here.
I am hoping someone sees this and can relate. I have been dealing with chronic nausea for three straight years now. My primary care doctor has sent me to GI where they ran numerous test and found nothing. I was referred to a teaching hospital, where they decided quickly it wasn’t a GI issue and ordered a MRI. The MRI came back as positive for a arachnoid cyst in the “posterior cranial fossa, displacing the left cerebral hemisphere.” I have not talked to a neurosurgeon yet, they are impossible to get a hold of. I also don’t have any measurements. Do you guys think this is the culprit of the sudden on set of nausea for three years? Would surgery help and get rid of this? What is your experience with all of this? What symptoms did you have?
I have arachnoid cyst in between the cerebellar hemispheres. I had it for two years, at first I had really bad head aches but I ignored it. Now after 3 years I have a lot of nasuea, light head, feeling dizzy all the time, my vision worsened and I have constant ringing in my ears. My mental health declined too, im 25 and yet im feel like a grandma. So I think nasuea can be conected to that, im at point considering surgery.
In 2009 i was basically diagnosed with the same thing as you. Arachnoid cyst large posterior fossa and left side. It didn't seem to change much over the years though
I’ve just been diagnosed with a small arachnoid cyst and I’m so ill I have nausea, dizziness, vision problems, sore head, tiredness I don’t know what there gunna do about it. I have an MRI in a week to determine what’s gunna happen. 🙁. I hope your okay xx
Hi - what was the outcome of your MRI.... I have a cyst as well and it’s kind of big and I’m waiting to talk to the Neurosergon next week -- I’ve had 2 MRI’s that show the cyst hasn’t grown in over 12 months but it’s still big and I’ve been having some symptoms too.... like dizziness, sore head, numbness on my face, etc :/. I hope you are ok.
@@alannasparks so you’ve experienced symptoms I mentioned? Only asking cause my Neurosergon said those symptoms are not caused by my cyst :/ but I’ll see what he says on my next appointment since my symptoms are constant now. And yes it is scary and I think it’s so easy for doctors to just say “oh it’s all in your head or it’s due to anxiety” -- I’m glad you are doing well. What did the doctor tell you about the possibility of the cyst growing back?
I have it at the back of my brain but doctors have said they dont need to do anything about it 🤔 i have same symptoms and pain thats slowly got worse over time at back of my head so bad sometimes i cant even think straight and struggle to hold my head up, the worst ive had was last night where it felt like a sharp pain which actually hurt and never felt sharp like that before hence me looking it up lol, not nice as i know it can affect things like if u are allowed to drive and stuff ☹️
Hey, I am glad you made it! I hope your recovery is done. I have been diagnosed by Arachnoid cyst in 2019 and all Dr.’s that I have met advised me not to remove it. Just felt like telling you “You’re a Diva”!
And you're an idiot! They can grow so large and can increase pressure so much it literally squishes the brain, essentially like a tumour. They are real and the symptoms can be crippling, I have one myself and I have extensive medical training for someone whose never formally worked in the healthcare industry.
@@TheAngryZebra that’s crazy i was diagnosed with a cyst in my brain back in 2018 and the neurologist said it was nothing to be concerned about but seeing these other things has me reconsidering

Well I have one on my spine in the middle of my back I'm getting surgery on 12-15-21. I've been dealing with the pain numbness lightning shooting down my legs fingertips goes numb and my fingers migraines chronic aching pain extreme high blood pressure so I'm looking forward to get that done I will try to keep this updated on my recovery

There just isnt enough stories out there on people with these. I can’t find anything about people who also relate. I guess besides nausea I do have headaches and a fever constantly. I just feel so lost. I am praying and trusting God I hear from a doctor soon and can get a measurement as well as a plan of action because I think it is symptomatic.
I got an extra cyst on my brain but hasn't been a problem I feel nauseous and giddy doctors not sure if it's the cyst doing it, it may have fluid around the cyst and pressing on my brain I have had my MRI scan last Saturday I have got my appointment a week Friday to see if the extra cyst causing the problem
@@alannasparksHi. What surgery you have had? My sister was diagnose with arachnoid cyst and it is big, too. 😢 She had shunting done and permanently put to drain the cyst but the progress is taking longer.

that was because of the surgery! as the cyst started to drain, my brain kinda freaked out for lack of better terms and I kind of lost control of some motor functions as a result.
