Phil Ochs' "When I'm Gone" Remembering Phil Ochs Night @ Acoustic Cafe, Park Ridge, NJ 11-17-12 Sonny Ochs, Kim & Reggie Harris, Magpie, Greg Greenway, PatWictor, John Flynn and Joe Hammer
Loved this Phil Ochs Song Night. I loved meeting Sonny Ochs & this is a beautiful rendition of one of my favorite songs. I was also surprised when I discovered that this video captured the back of the heads of both me & my daughter in the front row! Look closely & you’ll see the blond & brunette just enjoying the music, unaware that we became part of this historic night on film! ❤️
Another conclusion to a great Phil Ochs Song Night. I've been to many, but not this particular one. Phil's sister ( Sonny) continues to keep her brother's memory alive. Sonny Ochs is the fine lady to the extreme left. We love you Sonny ! ( note my tag )
I've been listening to this cover for years, so it routinely pops up in RUclips "MyMixes" on my computer. There are a lot of wonderful covers of this song, and then there's Phil's own performance, which is heartbreaking in retrospect, but for me there is no performance that people can access that embodies the essence of this masterpiece the way this one does. It lives and breathes Phil Ochs and all he stood for and fought for like no other. Thanks for posting.

One of the best renditions of this Ochs classic I've ever heard!

Great spirit, harmonies depth of feeling, and a privilege to hear!
