    This song wasn’t for Army. None of it was. The whole album was for him. His thoughts and feelings about life and himself. It’s all raw.

    Yep, break up song for sure. He recorded it late at night drunk at his friends house, and that guide became the track. Man was feeling BITTER

    I also believed somebody broke Joon's heart. Which is fine honestly. He deserved to feel all the normalcy of being human. Falling in love, falling out of love, getting hurt, learning from your pains and moving forward with your life. I would love for Namjoon to find love again and I hope this time it's for keeps. He also deserved that kind of peace in life.
    He did say that he wants the songs in Indigo to be relatable for everyone and every song is open for interpretation. 💜

    I’m with you that this song feels REAL! And not that I want anyone to be unhappy (and certainly not to stay that way)…but going through stuff - feeling stuff - is what makes us US…

    No chewing here. I completely agree. It was the song I was most excited for because I love pt 1 and Joonie delivered and then some. Omg, I just broke when I heard it, the hurt is so raw and deep. 😭

    This album is for army (and anyone else) to enjoy, but none of it is about army. Songs for army are obvious or the guys tell us. I never like to say it's one thing that the song is based on because their music has so many layers to it. I love interpreting their music without pushing my ideologies onto them and saying this is what they meant haha because we only know what they want us to know. Roscoe, I always enjoy your theories/interpretations, etc 💜

    I agree. This is not an ARMY song. This is something personal to him. The fact the boys keep their extracurricular relationships very private lulls everyone into believing they don't have them. And that's so naive.

    My favorite song on Indigo. The messy electro-funk track really goes with his lyrics and mood, messy, complicated funk. On a side note, Rosco looks fantastic in that shirt.

    For me Lonely, Change 2 and Closer are about the same person + another subjects, like loneliness in Lonely and the fact that everything changes in Change 2

    you're right, this song is 100% a personal heartbreak song for RM, his bitterness is bleeding through the song. A lot of Army dislike the idea of BTS being in relationships so much that they will do everything to interpret songs NOT romantically. It is naive to think every song BTS says "is for Army" is actually for Army in general. They definitely have been/are in relationships. And what do you do if you can't openly talk about your relationship, yet it's such a big part of life? You slip it into song lyrics and say "it's for Army", which technically isn't a lie if their partner is a fan of their music. I think there was a certain period of time where RM was clearly in a relationship, he was dropping hints in interviews and talked about wanting to be a dad very badly. He was all lovely dovey lol, and his lyrics in songs like Outro: Her were for someone in particular imo. Then somewhere along the line his attitude changed, this year when asked about kids again, he said he didn't want them anymore.

    • @godsofhiphop
      @godsofhiphop Год назад +2

      Don’t kid yourself… BTS would never deliberately lie to/about army. There’s a difference between saying that they’re lying and saying that they use personal experiences in a song. BTS is literally hip-hop at heart. Heartbreak (or any other emotion) that they encountered definitely makes it into songs but that’s just proof that they’ve been able to experience it. From the comments, it looks like a lot of people have not watched Joonie talk about or read interviews where he talks about what triggered each song.
      It’s OK to have interpret a song to fit your own life, but there really isn’t a reason to put words in Bangtan’s mouth.

    • @godsofhiphop
      @godsofhiphop Год назад +2

      Maybe watch more BTS content? Instead of saying that they are lying straight to their face

    • @janetuss6496
      @janetuss6496 Год назад +7

      @@godsofhiphop where did I say they lied? I didn't. So maybe read more carefully instead of throwing around accusations. If their partner is a fan of their music, then them saying "it's for army" is not a lie at all. I literally said they AREN'T lying. Many army always likes to interpret their songs as non-romantic, I only said that some lyrics they write about love are probably more personal than Army realizes. This should be obvious to anyone with a brain, really. I've watched many of RM's interviews and vlives where he talks about the songs. But it's not like any of them are going to openly discuss their relationships in those. You need to chill.

  • @ktsleeve
    @ktsleeve Год назад +7

    Roscoe I’m so excited about what you said about Change Pt2! Stand your ground, man. Don’t let them tell you what it’s about. BTS’ songs are almost always about more than one thing and they’re multi-layered. And Namjoon wants you to find your meaning in the song. He said in his interview about Indigo that once he releases his album the songs no longer belong to him! Some armies think they belong to them though and they can’t keep the hell out of them.

    Sending the eyes again 'cause you told me to...
    Edit : Lol I can't remember how much I got to say on the chat during the live but to be fair the songs you were told it was about army likely were lol, but yeah I'd like to believe most of us aren't delusional enough to believe they've not possibly had romantic relations... BUT (big butt) realistically speaking, we also know just how hard they work (and just how careful they have to be with everything,) that realistically also it would be extremely difficult for them to date, so honestly speaking I more lean towards it being an imaginary scenario if it is about a relationship. The emotions behind it I agree do feel very real and raw, but I can't make the assumption something it is actually about a real relationship and not just real emotions placed on an imaginary scenario with a perspective change or something (like he's speaking as a "fan" and their expectations on the fool me parts) : I say that because the song feels more about himself specifically to me and I can't help but feel he's being tricksy at the end with the "you can't love someone like I do, that's all I can say to you" by that I mean what if the "I do" was originally idol? It would make so much sense, especially leading into Lonely.
    Edit 2 : I feel like when the jazz comes in it's representing him accepting that he's changed, him showing he can change things up and that he's not the same person from those interviews he hates. But yeah whatever the actual reason behind the song you can just feel it was something weighing on him that he's trying to let it go but can't quite do it.
