Yep, that's how random singing is in the Philippines. In a Filipino classroom, there's probably about 2-4 people who can seriously sing, about 4 more others who can sing and about everyone will enjoy and jam with them.

Flipinos really love to sing, whether they're amateur, pro, newbie, or tone deaf. Almost all or if not all of us loves to sing, be it for parties, feast, local or national contests, streets, while relaxing, while washing the dishes, while cooking, while taking a bath, or even while dreaming sometimes. We love to listen to music and songs especially OPM and ballads as well as pop, RnB, and acoustic or be it folk, alternative, rock or rap and hip-hop. In a country who favors and celebrates singers, no doubt that most of us wanted or dreamed to be a good singer, it's just that some inherited good singing traits and practices form their clan or parents, some are just naturally talented and gifted, and some made it through constant practices. Nevertheless, almost all or if not all of us appreciates a form or genre of music and does singing, humming, or chanting in our own special ways.
My appreciation for music even got me singing in my dreams, and I did sing well in my dreams, but when I woke up, nah, music really hates me. Nevertheless, I still sing, but just not in front or around other people who were not my immediate nuclear family. I love mainly Filipino and English songs from broadway, Disney musicals, pop, and alternative folk style. I do also sing songs in Indonesian, Malaysian, and other languages, which are mostly various national anthems.
its unfortunate that some of those filipino kids sang on the streets, on buses or jeepneys, some enter a fastfood restaurant and sing in exchange of coins and food...at a very young age they know how to use their talents to earn money and food to survive. and to entertain....and i admire them..

These Filipino youngsters in the video are not even professional singers but are as equally talented. It chokes me to know that their talent is being appreciated around the globe. Thank you for your patronage. 😊
I love that most of them are singing at school. Its really pretty common for teachers/instructors to have their students sing in class. They would ask you if you have any talents and the students fall for it everytime, for plus grades sometimes and also during internship so that the preceptor would let you get off early. And singing is our common past time here in the PH, its always one of the things were good at.

Hello Coach Rebecca. The "not-so-good" background that we saw in most of the clips is a testament that our singers came from the deepest of struggles in life. Resilience, perhaps, is the most appropriate way of describing how these Filipino singers survive. It is so lovely to realize that these guys used their talent to climb up the ladder and improve their lives. I share their struggles and enjoy the glory of pure and raw talent whenever given the chance to be in a spotlight. This reaction video is so heart warming. Thank you for this.
Your words passed through my heart! The warmth of your sincerity is exuding! I love how you really appreciate music. Music is a form of self expression. Truly, God has given us the instrument that can touch hearts. More Love from the Philippines Becca! Keep inspiring!
They encourage singing in school in PH, when I was in a private elementary school every hour or two the teacher would break from lecture/subject and make us sing for 15 minutes. Sometimes it's the whole class, sometimes individually, and if you are shy then the teacher would pick a partner for you to sing with. Sometimes the singing required dancing/exercise combo. Any song you want, even if you are bad at it no one made fun of you because we ALL had to do it. The teacher even use it as disciplinary tool, but we never saw it as a punishment since most of us loved singing and dancing. You could even raise your hand in a middle of a lecture and ask the teacher if you could sing a song just because you felt like it, and I have never heard my teacher say no to any of us. When you make school fun and make students look forward to going to school every morning, then educating them is the easy part. I moved to the U.S. and have been here most my life, and I can say, the fondest memory i have was my childhood in PH.
Their raw talents shine without inhibitions. Rebecca's reaction is insightful and I feel that her wish is for every human being to discover and develop his/her voice and share the joy of singing. ☀🌈🎤

Good morning Miss Rebecca !!! Always looking forward to your reaction,, yes It's surprising sometimes how musically inclined Filipinos are,, And it shows wherever you are at the,, Mall, Riding in a jeepney ( small public transportation ) , every Filipiono homes at least 90% owns karaoke machine,, In every social function function music are present in Pinoys ( slang for Filipinos ) heart,, There is a saying Don't give the mic to the Filipinos or she or he will not let go of it HAHA,, Many of Filipinos can mimic most Western Artist !!! My Father was a radio singing entertainer ( that was then in the olden days ) I remembered he loves to sing while I was growing up ( did not think nothing of it ) Today because of internet People from other side of the globe can be heard,, their amazing talent ,,, Thank you again Miss Rebecca !!! congrats on your 101k BTW cute cat !!! God Bless !!!
Filipino love to sing everywhere even in the mall its normal if you see someone singing vidio ok or even they just walking in the street randomly singing its normal so technically Philippine the nois specially in the provinces is music
Rebecca Vocal Athlete actually those in uniform they jus having fun and most of the teachers if they feel their class bored they randomly ask one of thier student to sing just to bring live to class
Thank you for supporting and reacting to Filipino singers. Thanks for your great reaction as always. Please react to tnt boys singing flashlight at “TNT All Star Showdown”. They also sang “I will always love you”.💕
Im originally from the Philippines and from what I can recall, we sing as a form of recreation. I remember being a kid and singing around family members and friends (some rock and ballad songs). It was a great way to have fun with family members and practice on our vocal skills. Filipino culture is very supportive of activites such as singing, as this as seen as positive there. This form of encouragment produces pretty talented vocalists. I also noticed that Filipino diction is pretty decent, we can easily articulate vowels and consonants with perfect clarity. This is probably due to the heavily Americanized culture there, we learned English at a very early age, this probably why its really easy for us to sing.
love this reaction vlogs. .. I first worked with Philipino singers/musicians abroad 35 years and they blew my socks off...i stood sidestage with my mouth open and totally missed my cue -i was a dancer not a singer lol -it is true about the Philipinos - they are natural vocalists and it's encouraged in their culture .. it's amazing .... great reactions 😊💕👍
The second featured video is so good... The boy with the guitar...👏👏 And the little kid, so cute! Thank for you kind words... Filipinos are really talented...
Thank you so much for the love, Rebecca!!! Needless to say, you deserve the 100k+ subscribers! And I'm sure there's still more to come! Congratulations and lots of love!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Beautiful Rebecca 😊 you inspired me with your story(on your description), because even in your tough moments in life you've still saw the good in it by staying positive. Btw Thank you on giving continuous love to all Filipino singers ❤ PS. Don't you ever think that you're not good enough because YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH, you are a Gift and a Blessing. Singing has been a part of Filipino culture so that's how I think why Most of us can really sing, In every household you can find a karaoke, every occasion and gatherings there should be a karaoke, party has never been alive without it :) . Anyways I love your channel.

Though 85% of us filipinos know how to sing we cant really broadcast it nor cant get to the "market" bc some are just contented living simply and most are I mean filipinos are very family oriented so family is their priority. Yes we have our own dream but we prefer our dream for our family🙂 Thanks for this vid, I love it so much. God bless you😘😘😘
And ohh yeah the one who sang "Love yourself" if i'm correct his name was Jong i forgot his surname but he is currently on the T.V contest here in the Philippines entitled "The Clash" hahaah Just saying hahah.
Thank you so much. Most of us really do not want to be heard nor to be judged. " Do things that make us scared." Love this. Thanks. My love from the Philippines.
Whenever someone praises/saying that every Filipino sings well i feel proud but at the same time I'm wishing I'm one of those Filipinos (that can sing)...Haha...love your reactions, I always enjoy your reactions...and I love your cat, it look so fluffy...Philippines
Yes you're right. Filipinos are all good singers and very talented. Thank you very much for appreciating our own talent i used to sing. Before i got a high pitch voice and sing well like regine velasquez our song bird. 😘
The kid who sang the power of love is a street children i guess.. who showcase his singing talent in a parlor.. maybe asking for some food for living.. so many talents here in our country most of them are poor people..
And those childrens who use their talents to earn money to support their everyday needs deserves to be recognize and live in a better life than to those freaking spoiled kids.
Filipinos just love to sing, its always raining back in the island...so singing is the good hobby if u cant go out harhar, plus its just in our culture to sing if we are happy or sad,in schools, friends, shower or cooking lol
I love u miss rebecca vocal athlete coach... U help us see through the texture of vocal prowess and make us more appreciative in the process.. Thank you! Cheers with our green tea!

that boy who sang while riding the jeepney was begging for money. so instead of just asking for it, he sings to the passengers who some will give him and some will just film him. I thank you for showing these folks and reacting to them.
Philippines is such a beautiful country but many people hate it for some reason... Oh I almost forgot... My teachers and almost all of my classmates are also a good singer💓

I hope you read this message, reacts to Monica Naranjo "Desatame Tour Minage" or "Vivir asi es morir de amor", is one of the best voices on the planet, you have to see it, is an icon of music in Latin America and Spain, you're going to fall in love with her voice!
In the Philippines.... 0:35 , 3:56 , 6:00 , 7:16 , 13:02 , 14:06 - this happen in schools, but not very usual that its this good, but bring guitar in schools and singing together is always and always fun. They are amazing btw. 1:38 - this how brothers with guitar usually bond, aside from basketball and computer games. 2:47 , 11:23 - its either they know they can sing, but parents arent that supportive or they have all the support from their family for their passion, but they have something else they need to prioritize (mostly financial), so they just record theirselves and try to showcase and nurture their talents. Im number 2 btw 😅 4:56 - a boy singing in a jeepney (popular means of public transportation) whose in an unfortunate state of living, he is basically singing to earn money, as you can see when someone else rode, he stood up and gave his seat, because he is not paying for the ride, and again he sings for his/ his family's livelihood. 8:33 - he is either have the same situation with the boy in the jeepney or he is living in that neighborhood and known by the staff of that fast food restaurant that he can sing and recorded him. Hats off, he belts it, sitting. I hope this helps you understand each situation. One thing's for sure, music is part of every Filipinos' lives. Stay safe.
Happy 100k Rebecca VA ♥ Lots of Filipinos loves you, count me in. Hope to see you in person someday. We really feel joy whenever you react to our kababayan (countryman) Finger ♥

I adore a am in awe of your ability to sing out and be proud.
love this reaction vlogs. .. I first worked with Philipino singers/musicians abroad 35 years and they blew my socks off...i stood sidestage with my mouth open and totally missed my cue -i was a dancer not a singer lol -it is true about the Philipinos - they are natural vocalists and it's encouraged in their culture .. it's amazing .... great reactions 😊💕👍
i suspect. you put the shades on because you went teary.

Oh the one who sang Love your self he's now an artist, he join a singing contest in one of the biggest entertainment show in the Ph and won 2 place.
Speaking of Michael Jackson's they don't care about us, please check out the video of actual prisoners dancing with MJ's dance choreographer (i think). It's a few years old but it's still awesome. Cebu dancing inmates.
Wow will do thanks
Singing has been a part of Filipino culture so that's how I think why Most of us can really sing, In every household you can find a karaoke, every occasion and gatherings there should be a karaoke, party has never been alive without it :) . Anyways I love your channel.

Though 85% of us filipinos know how to sing we cant really broadcast it nor cant get to the "market" bc some are just contented living simply and most are I mean filipinos are very family oriented so family is their priority. Yes we have our own dream but we prefer our dream for our family🙂

"Do something that scares you every single day"
-Rebecca (2018)
What will be your something tomorrow?😁🙏💕
Yes you're right. Filipinos are all good singers and very talented. Thank you very much for appreciating our own talent i used to sing. Before i got a high pitch voice and sing well like regine velasquez our song bird. 😘
The kid who sang the power of love is a street children i guess.. who showcase his singing talent in a parlor.. maybe asking for some food for living.. so many talents here in our country most of them are poor people..
And those childrens who use their talents to earn money to support their everyday needs deserves to be recognize and live in a better life than to those freaking spoiled kids.
proud filipino here thanks for appreciating filipino kids

that boy who sang while riding the jeepney was begging for money. so instead of just asking for it, he sings to the passengers who some will give him and some will just film him. I thank you for showing these folks and reacting to them.

Hello mam rebecca!. Hope you are doing good. Love from philippines
Im number 2 btw 😅
4:56 - a boy singing in a jeepney (popular means of public transportation) whose in an unfortunate state of living, he is basically singing to earn money, as you can see when someone else rode, he stood up and gave his seat, because he is not paying for the ride, and again he sings for his/ his family's livelihood.
Stay safe.
Filipinos love to sing💜💜 they don’t care if they’re out of tune or what
In every occasion u can see people singing until 12nn(maybe)😂😂
