The best performance by SSY for me is Bohemian Rhapsody. Superb collab: voice, punk look (hairstyle, vest, leather pants, accessories), choreography, gesture, screen, chorus, etc. To me, the best of all female renditions of the song in the world.

Except aretha, amber, and a few bits singer. They're at the very least on par. But yeah, your typical/even better singer can't hold a candle battling with sohyang, especially technically. 😂
gadman tandian amber not, she gets very head and kinda high larynx above A5 and Sohyang beats her. Not too sure about Aretha I know she can be chesty on high notes but she’d be a challenger that’s for sure
@@iworshipgaysandsatan6822 amber voice typically sound light, yet with depth and rasp though. And yes she does not yet sound as capable as SoHyang. But oh well she's getting better.. 😁
gadman tandian her F5s are really good but most of her A5s are completely growls and Bb5/B5s aren’t great from her and her C6 are better but heady and while headier doesn’t mean bad, it’s just Sohyang maintains the C6s with a healthier balance of chest and head not to mention fully supported

Park Ki Young has the highest mixed voice I've ever heard.... those bb5 ans b5 was just a stepping stone towards a higher and insane vocal register
Mixed F6, very heady but still very impressive in a performance,not sure about the name tho
Park Ki Young who did the B5 with the mic far away is my favourite singer. If you want to hear more I have a playlist on my channel of just her. I recommend Spring Rain, When It rains on a Tuesday and The southern man and northern woman.

I like that you brought up the difference in colors and tones! Technique is one thing, and gets you up there (and in the right way) - but it's color and tones that can differentiate you from everyone else up there.

Most/All of the American singers are from the under 2000 years and they are the best of all time,but the Korean singers are good too and I think they can reach more high belt notes
Reaching the highest notes doesn't make anything beautiful, it depends on the quality of the note, the beauty of it

That last Queen was Amber Riley. Her rendition of Beyoncé’s 1+1 is amazing! There is a cell phone video of her singing it at a party where she has said that before that night she had given up on music and a singing career. Her friend talked her into singing that night and it was incredible and reinvigorated her passion for singing. Beautiful voice on that girl!

I don't like a lot of these high notes, but sometimes it's nice when they are smooth not so out there. I have a favorite artist his high notes are so nice, he just let's it flow but not where he has to strain his voice. So also he has unique voice, but whatever he delivers is so amazing. My favorite Kim Jaehwan and Park Hyo Shin

I long for a vocal coach to react from TVXQ and JYJ (both groups were previously 1, they premiered in 2003 and are considered artists with beautiful and unique voices).
Its initial members were Yunho, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu and Changmin; besides that they are the model to follow of many young idols (as they say they are the idols of your idols). In Japan they are the main exponents in sales and very dear; They risked making their debut from 0 like any other Japanese rookie group.

Two things I think of when I see these videos: Thank God for Soul, Blues, Jazz and the precious souls that brought us this beautiful music. Second, I do love a great belt. I can do a decent belt, but not very high. I wonder, isn't there something to be said for a quality, contemplative and quiet voice :oD ?

The original video creator missed Sohyang's C6 in a couple of performances, and missed her C#6 in many _Upon This Rock_ performances.
Is this what FeDsax98 themselves said, or just your opinion? Both are fine, ofc. I've seen the original quite some time ago, so I don't really remember what did they say about it. Here's mine: Missing a note had nothing to do with fairness, or who sang it, which happens to be Sohyang's in this case. It's simply missing, aka incomplete information.
@@devi8089 B5 isn't missing from this video. If the context of the video is "who has the best of each note" then sure, we can be picky about the singers, and take into account vocal pedagogy considerations. But, that would be a different kind of video, imho. It'll be interesting to watch as well. They can make a series out of the idea too, maybe one note a week, showcasing various vocalists per week.

I don't think it is a competition what country can belt, people who loves Korea more than their own at times cheers for them and nationalism attacks when we see comments attacking our own, but all of that aside and behaving like adults and music lovers we all can conclude these ladies all of them have some powerful vocals and at one point or the other it all can work perfectly and there are times, me being an amateur singer can attest you practice all week and for months for a presentation and on the day something like a little saliva goes on and all goes to heck, but at one point they all have it. We should appreciate it.

From here we can see the different styles both countries like. Koreans tend to flex on their vocal range and there's nothing wrong with showing what you can do with sustained belts. Americans like to do riffs or vibrato to show off their vocal agility.
