One of the more interesting aspects of Filipino culture is their ability to mimic the American singers with perfect English while singing. Does not matter how broad their Filipino speaking accent is, once they get on stage it's like they grew up somewhere in the Midwest. That's why Filipino rock bands have always been the favorites at clubs throughout much of Asia, not just in the Philippines. They have an authentic American band sound that is harder for other countries to produce. It's not recent either, back in the 60s and 70s the Filipino rock bands dominated the circuit of the base clubs for all the American military bases across Asia.
@Rick. Have you listen to Morissette speak English?! How about Darren Espanto,Michael Pandilinan or Arnel Pineda of “Journey”?! I can keep going but they speak English with no accents, so i don’t know where got that idea that they are just mimicking American singers!!! Maybe you should listen to them talk before saying something dumb!!! I spent 7 of my teen yrs in the Philippines and 90% of the kids in my school(St Teresa Academy, Baguio City PI) just happen to speak perfect English!!!
@@heatherfeather8459 Sweetie, I've been married to a Pinay for 49 years and have been in-and-out of the Islands since the mid-1970s. I am typing this while watching Mrs. Rick pack our balikbayan boxes to carry with us next week on our return to Luzon. Perhaps you might want to not jump to conclusions about what I know and don't know about the culture and people. Since you brag about your education you might want to work on your comprehension skills. I was very obviously posting in generalities about singing even with an accent, and not about the specific people you named. Do not embarrass yourself.
@@TheOriginalRick I guess she miss interpret your comment. Your right bro filipinos are good in mimicking accents when singing, Some of my friends don't even speak the language that well but when they sing is sounds like its their first language.
@@heatherfeather8459 I think what he meant when filipinos are singing not when we are speaking, of course the accent will depend on the person speaking some filipinos can speak english without accent and some has their own asian accent. I hope you could be nicer especially if your going to comment that you study in the Philippines for a few years, your representing the nation very poorly. Filipinos are very respectful of other peoples point of view.
No hate just spread love hehe
@@heatherfeather8459hey mate i am from baguio also, but he is right specially in baguio, the country singers don’t speak in perfect southern english accent but they sing like they are from the west. My igorot brothers and sisters.
The most technically scientific fan-girling dissection of Mori's singing I've ever heard. You are one of the top 3 vocal coaches on the internet. Keep it up. Stay safe! AL
I agree with you. Who are your other 2 top vocal coaches? Have you ever listened to Roberto Delli Carri or John Henny (Vocal Studio)? I like both of them a lot. They are vocal teachers, not reactors, which is why they do so few reactions- but when they do them, I find them great and learn a lot.
Agree.. This is technical singing dissection for free.... ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
So true!
Very good looking woman. More importantly (given context) very well spoken
The Fairy Voice Mother is very thorough also
She can even whistle 5th octave notes. Wow
Her enunciation is precise. She speaks perfect/fluent English.
We Filipinos, when we speak, we might have different accent, but when we sing, we sound like American.
@@stanner200 yes some are not fluent but they can understand
From the Philippines here..You are such a Technically Savvy Vocal Coach..with such a deep appreciation for Voices with soo much Depth and Emotion..and indeed..Morisette has those qualities!!♥️
Thank you Marjun!
I love how she's fan-girling so much and gives such detailed analysis.
That's why we are all here. Facial expressions says as much as the words. We all listen to singing & music for joy & catharsis & relief & empathy. A critic that lets all that through in their face is rare so this channel is one of the best.
The expression on your face when Morissette did the whistle... PRICELESS!
As a Filipino, we're so proud of her. Thanks for this review.❤️
morisette's cover of mariah's fly like a bird should definitely be next on the list.
Yeah more Morissette. Imo the best, most versatile singer in the world right now and that is just the beginning of her talents. Great reaction.
Check out her tagalog song Di Mapaliwanag her staccato whistle on that one is something to behold and it was LIVE!!!!
@@user-jo9vd6tt2q Good luck with that, I don't think she likes Morissette, amazin.
she deserves an international show...
I like the demonstration of the vocal folds when registering a whistle note
Morissette is a master of Vocal CONTROL!!... and dynamics... ;0)
I liked the way you react, i learned a lot and so natural.. annnd you're so pretty..thank for reacting on Morissette 😍🇵🇭🇰🇷
Thank you! Glad you liked it, Morrisette is awesome!
Yes she has a geft voice from god
So hyang is a tremendous singer too
There is not another singer today as great as morisette Amon today!!!!!
I love that you are as in love with Mori's voice as some of the rest of us are, and apparently for many of the same reasons.
Charismatic voice you know her pronunciation, low notes, high notes, belting, whistling for 10seconds, squeak, falsetto, mix, storytelling, emotions, pull back is incredible
I was a senior in high school when this song by Foreigner was released in 1984 (I'm aging myself). The soundtrack of my youth. It was really popular at school dances, lol. Great reaction. I love Morisette's take on this song.
Jjjhh HP all up
Now this is both a scientific and aesthetic analysis. Coach, you're detached enough to be scientific but also intimate enough to truly appreciate the art of her voice. Fantastic reaction to a fantastic performance.
So deep ❤️❤️❤️
I must humbly admit that I didn't even know Mariah-Carey did a version of this song... I'm so used to hearing it with Foreigners.
It's the ONLY and the BEST version
Same, thank you for apologizing on my behalf too.
I like the original Foreigner version too. And now, Morissette's version 😊
@@miklimecat9636 I think John Farnham did a cover in Australia too back in the day. Don't recall Maria's version.
@@natashagoode501 someone else's comment reminded me that Tina Arena did a cover, Foreigner even wrote an extra/new verse for her. I like her version more than Mariah's. I must check out John Farnham's cover, thanks for telling me :)
Morissette ain't playing 💥 That iconic 14 sec sustained whistle note 💙 one of the underrated female artist in the world right now .. Morissette is the only female artist i know who can match up Mariah interms of Vocals they have such the same capabilities 👑
Ooohhh maaann. I love her voice. She is also stunning 🤩
That is why Morisette should be going international..she has everything, the voice, looks, ability to sing any song, cover or her own. She is just that good period.
I think the pandemic is a key factor as to why she hasn't.
She cannot go international, not until she's out of the clutches of one of the most greediest companies (Star Records/ABS CBN) in the Philippines.
@@seansanchez1140 always the corpo suits...
She's attempting to go international right now. Not only singing covers but writing her own songs as well. Example, Love You Still, in music video.
@@seansanchez1140 natapos na ata contract nya last december(diko sure kung sa star music or sa abs kaya hindi na sya lumalabas sa asap)
That’s why we call her in our country as "Asia’s Phoenix"
Thank you for appreciating her talent. Morissette is 24 years old and she's really huge here in the Philippines. If you're interested in songs with meaningful lyrics then you might want to react to her latest single/music video, Love You Still which is currently charting. She co-wrote the song with her fiancée and it talks about her relationship with her father. She did her lows and highs here. Expect the unexpected 😊.
What a satisfying reaction!! 😍😍 It’s great seeing you experience the amazingly versatile and powerful Morissette!! I never get tired of her or Dimash.
There are many more PHENOMENAL performances of hers that need to see!
That sustained and very well controlled whistle is exquisitely beautiful. She is amazing.
Thank you and 👍to your reaction. 🙏🌹🙏
The longest whistle tone ever indeed
You're the best voice teacher I've seen & heard when it comes to dissecting the voice of a singer - her beautiful lower, modal voice, upper registers, & amazing whistle tone as you best described is spot on; color & quality of her voice, enunciation, vocalization, consistency, breath control, clearness & emotional delivery of a song has a chilling effect on her listeners!
I observed that she has Mariah Carrey's voice: "Fly like a bird" & Whitney's voice too when she sang: "Run to me"; a very versatile and excellent singer with so many amazing octaves at her disposals.
I hope she'll be internationally known soon!
Miss Charismatic, your mastery of music is second to none!
Wow!!! Genuine yet INFORMATIVE reaction! I'm lovin' this!!!
Please keep reacting to Morissette. Love from Philippines! 🇵🇭❤️
Love is looking at that face every day.
Aww 🥰
Wait a minute... why's your message edited Kirk?
Very sus...
I thought that during the I Miss the Misery reaction lol. Like, who could handle Lzzy alone? :D
awww
Ikr
It's been a while coach and miss too that satisfying and most graitfying genuine reaction coming from the most genius vocal coach ever. Well, again as foe me she's the best artist worldwide at this present generation wirh so much flavour she incorporates within her stylisric way of singing that seldom can be heard even to those great singers now a days. More reaction to Mori's live music videos there aee plenty much more mind blowing performances that will shocked you, promise. Tnx and stay safe always ma'm till your nxt traction
thanks for reacting and supporting Morissette.
Thank you for featuring Mori on your channel..😍
Hoping for more Morissette reaction.😉😁..
Love from 🇵🇭❤❤
There she goes again! My favorite singer and my favorite vocal coach...
this is the longest reaction of all the reactions that i attended of mori's cover of this song but i enjoyed it, and somehow learned the techniques that mori uses by your explainations. thanks for appreciating the talents of the filipinos, there are still so many talents here that maybe you wanna discover. proud filipino here.
Here I am again. I can't have enough of Morissette and The Charismatic Voice. It is such a pleasure to watch these two.
I Miss your reaction to my Queen Morissette.I hope more reaction to morissette Amon🙏❤️
I hope Morissette has a tremendous international career.
We'll pray for that.
'THE QUEEN' mori is from another planet. different level of singing.
Thanks Coach for featuring Morissette 😉
May this channel grow more as you deserve it ☺️
Be safe & stay healthy👍
Godbless♥️
Right after she performed this, she proceeded to STONE COLD next in same Venue.
A wonderful reaction to an absolutely amazing singer. I really enjoyed it
Thank you
The first 30 seconds of Morissette's vocals need a background image of dark honey being poured from a jar, or maybe molten gold running downhill.
It's such a warm, rich sound, Nutella for the ears.
I love how you reacts. You taught us all technicalities. Even if we don't really understand it, you give us details. And that's how I get more amazed how talented a singer is.
I have never thought watching professional vocal coaching can be this much exciting.
You clearly know everything about singing.
Oh and it is super cute how excited you can get about a high note or something that was pretty hard to sing. 😀
You’re gorgeous in reaction to Morissette. She is adorable and amazing vocalist. The best ever
Very cute reaction. :). Yes, Morrissette is unbelievable. Thank you.
I’m always surprised when reactors compliment key changes. When I sing, I change keys a lot. It comes so naturally to me I’m often not even aware I’m doing it!😉
The best and real vocal coach ❤
Very versatile singer is Morissette! 🇵🇭
I absolutely love how Morisette makes you smile... But what makes it even better is your commentary to help understand her voice... Thank you for your content.
I love the way you do a vocal geek out! The expressions on your face is so priceless. And then add that to the thorough explanation of why Mori’s singing skill/styles/techniques make us not only enjoy listening to her, but what draws us, the listener, in and keeps us there! Thanks so much for this! I’ve already shared this with friends & family!
I didnt know Mariah has a rendition of this song..I thought it was Tina Arena.. But very very good analysis of the song and performance..I hope to see more Morissette's on your channel because she's one good extraordinary talent! Keep it up😊
To my recollection, I think you're right. The original was by the band Foreigner, then covered by Mariah Carey, then covered by Tina Arena. Foreigner added an extra verse for Tina Arena, I like her cover more than Mariah's.
Awesome reaction!!! Welcome to the world of Morissette. Get ready for more amazing performances from her. She’s simply amazing. I’m really excited to hear more from you about Mori. Till next time. I hope soon....
Mori belts out these incredible notes at such a high registry like it’s nothing anyone other singer would’ve been exhausted and done and she’s still belting away having fun it is ridiculous how great she is.
Check out her tagalog song Di Mapaliwanag her staccato whistle on that one is something to behold and it was LIVE!!!!
The reason why she has a good understanding of "English vowels" is, simply put, we, as Filipinos, were taught English as a second language. We learned it as children, from our parents, as well as in school.😁
and then?
Morissette in a class of her own !
what a BEAUTIFUL song I love it...ONE OF THE BEST SINGER IN THE PHILIPPINES MORISSETTE.. watching from HONGKONG... mabuhay kabayan...
This is from so many years ago, I would love to hear her sing this again today
Ms Zharoff, I thoroughly enjoyed your reviews of both this song and Akin Ka Nalang. Your analysis has technical insights that are explained in a way that casual musicians and song lovers can understand. And you convey delight and professional respect for a fellow artist. Kudos and keep the reactions coming!
Wow😍💖 I Love your REACTION😇😊💖 Thank u😘😊💖
It seemed like Morissette's voice here was exhausted, but damn! She really is sooooooo gooood!❤️❤️❤️
Yay, Morissette! Nice to see you reacting to her. Actually, English is one of the two national languages in the Philippines, so her fluency isn't really that surprising, but her pronunciation of it is very clear. (My mother is also Filipina and has lived in the US for 59 years, but still has more of an accent than I hear in Morissette's voice, at least when she's singing.)
Hi Ma'am! She's Unbelievable! Her Whistle tones is so clean and clear flawless and pretty longer tban Mariah Carey's whistle tones' She's Incredible! Thank you for reacting to MORISSETTE. Stay Safe!
She is adorable and amazing vocalist in the world
“Fly like a bird” or her tagalog song “Di mapaliwanag” live version
Mas gusto ko yung panaginip nya
di mapaliwanag is one of the hardest, hope she react to it. It's actually harder than akin ka na lang, the reason why only few can cover that song.
That is Morissette Amon coach and you have described her abilities so very well....she's one of the best when it comes to vocal control....she can go real low and go very high and yes about her English diction it counts a lot when you pronounce it real well....and of course the whistle note she can go b6, c6, d7 or whatever your piano can do lol....I love this reaction!
Morissette Amon at 24 is the Best Singer Today for me 👑😍🇵🇭 she has the most amazing vocal ability that I've seen..... Please react to her original song LOVE YOU STILL just out December 2020, NARIRINIG MO BA and DI MAPALIWANAG on Wish Bus live 😍❤️❤️ available English Caption this is amazing songs of her superb vocals😍❤️ Thanks
Watching you react is pure joy! Thank you for that. Please react to more Morissette.
Mesmerizing vocal rendition even if you take out the whistle; the whistle is just like a cherry on the top; such a beautiful artist. Nice reaction 🌹💖
Long time for reacting morissette amon again I'll miss you charismatic voice
You can watch her performance at the Asia Song festival 2017 she did two songs and whistle tones multiple times! You're gonna love it!
You have a very calming voice...thank you for sharing your input on Morisette...
What an awesome reaction to an awesome rendition! So glad you enjoyed it. Please please do more reactions to Morissette💕
Omg! Unbelievable whistle tone, she’s incredible! Wow wow wow
I'll never get tired of your beauty. Your musical expertise is a bonus 😍❤️❤️❤️
Morissette rules! Long live Queen Morissette!!! 👸🇸🇽
One of my favorite coach/reactor of Morissette. Make this blue if you like her too. :)
The best analysis of this rendition is owned by you now. We can’t get enough of Morissette so please analyze her rendition of Fly Like a Bird by Mariah Carey, the latest one on her yt channel, or her amazing performance at the Asia Song Festival 2017, or her latest original Love You Still on her yt channel. Thanks a million.
Oh!... and your reaction was so enjoyable! Loved it!
Two of the most beautiful women in the world doing themselves justice, pure delight
Love love love your beautiful reaction to an equally beautiful queen with a heavenly sent voice. Yeah, Queen, Morissette truly knows what love is ( This was the time she met her Prince, and now they are engaged) seriously, love her tender, soft, smooth and gorgeous vocals. So good to know you are back into reacting to her. Thanks much;) Please do checked her latest original song" Love You Still"
More of morisette amon
❤❤❤
Morissette has the highest vocal range among all Filipino singers. She has vocal range of [Bb2 - D8]. A total of 5 octaves and 4 semitones.
By far this is the most detailed, clear and scientific MA reaction I have seen. Thanks coach. It's just not enough to listen to MA, it's best also to know the technical dynamics of her voice and performance. Thanks and God bless.
thank you so much.. delightful and informative. enjoyed your reaction to her whistles, runs, growls, low notes ... too many! THANK YOU.
her first performance in Busan Korea she did a medley and the whistle there is out of this world, that 15 secs. whistle yo heared here is just a fraction and she likewise showcase some dance moves....groovy
Her vocals just blow me away unbeleivable singer my favorite singer! P.S. and she is so beutifull too!!!
one sub from a fellow Morissette fan. I love the way you do your reviews, very technical. all the best to you and your channel!
I love the look on your face when she reaches those whistle notes!! It's the same kind of pleasure joy you expect from a child on Christmas 😅😅
Morisette is one of the best in the phil. She is so amazing. I love your comments to. They are so fine. Congrats
Any other rock fans around that didn't even know Mariah Carey sang this? No? Just me?
I didn't. But that's mostly because I don't like listening to Mariah Carey.
Yeah, me neither. I could see why she would've, but don't count on me taking a listen to her version any time soon.
She didnt sing this...listen to the video again...she straight up says Foreigner sings this song, but Morisette Amon has covered a lot of Mariah Carey songs in the past...she was talking about Morisettes chops...she never said Mariah Carey sings this...
@@oscarwshbrn But Mariah did sing this song, it's the final track on her album 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel', there's a music video of it as well (ruclips.net/video/gCadlN8fexk/видео.html). Both Mariah and Morisette's versions are impressive, but yeah, neither hold a candle to the original

A great and thorough analysis. Thank you.
I love Mori all the time. ❤️❤️❤️
Dang. Morissette’s whistle note is higher than my dreams. Lol.
first time i wasnt annoyed when someone rewinds a lot. i see someone fangirling.
lovely reaction..more of mori pls
