@@kevraf6463 as someone who's played D&D, the DM is the one who's supposed to make sure the party does what they're supposed to in the limited session time they have, so it's kinda her job to make sure they do it in time, every session DOES have a limited time to it after all

[[Edit] 3 Weeks later] after creating this to first say "oh, thank you for all the likes and positive words." I do mean that. I was surprised it got any attention but I am glad it helped many people find the bit they wanted to watch.
Also, to further give more detailed if you are coming from the Carlfish Short which links to episode 1 of the campaign, the actual Carlfish moment occurs on the episode, 31, the youtube video is called -

The short is actually split between several moments spread out over roughly an hour with banter, which "@theVercci" included in a reply to my post, so I thought let's break down each part.
It's split up into a couple moments in Episode 31 Electrum Chef.
1:49:02 Kreamy asks the intro question to the short "You got the Crawfish, Right?" Which leads into banter which at
1:49:22 goes into the DM's Fairy saying she has either the carlfish or crawlfish which starts off some of the carl banter, such as all three carlfish are labeled "carl". But quickly goes back to the main plot story and character interactions/discussions and off the carl banter for nearly 30 minutes.
2:24:07 The part where the fairy cook hurriedly adds the Carlfish because she forgot and kreamy had to remind the fairy cook because she completely forgot as it had been 30 minutes since the first bits of banter.
2:24:34 The fairy cook says she completely forgot, and takes them out of their jars and puts them in the stew. (So the beginning of what feels like the main part of the short.)
2:24:39 Kreamy begins to asks "Oh god are they still alive?!" leading into the following Carl Banter.
You can pretty much watch all the way through at that point, the short obviously had to cut some sections of the banter when Nikkie had to change the DM Music playing so she wasn't responding at first but states later she was "Listening to the screams die down of "Carl, Carl, and Carl"."
2:27:19 is when Derek begins to be a "Cooked Carl" in the last bit of the short plays out.
I also included a copy of this info in episode 31 itself for those who wanted to see each little bit. I will probably do this for other shorts I just adore from time to time if people want more "short break downs".

i'm only halfway through and there are so many things i love about this already:
- debate over what counts as a 'giant' pumpkin
- the wood carvings
- considering bypassing the entire campaign and just smothering an old man to death
- the singer in the soundtrack being a guy just standing outside the house
nikkie's ability to perfectly impersonate an old man is terrifying, i love her
I love how the bad guy is named “Remmy Garoux”. It’s a funny play on Ruegaroux. These gator/Louisiana references surrounding the lizarfolk character are amazing!

@@mastemathedank4043 That's older and closer to the original french, it became corrupted to rougarou in Louisiana at a later point, and seeing as that's the analogue for this fictionalized setting, rougarou would be more applicable.

We had a private eye with amnesia, a secret agent cursed to be a hulking tiefling, a steampunker who’s inventions tended to explode, a half-giant who couldn’t yell, a hunter who couldn’t sleep in a home, and a little potion-seller who was a VERY cursed goblin

i think my favorite part (at the moment of being like 2 hours in) is that they all just unanimously refer to Gideon as a "skellington" & not a single one of them notices or bothers to correct it to "skeleton"😂😂😂

I know right! My old campaign we took a like 14yr old with us cuz the pic looked like she was much older and she got ripped in half by an ogre a few sessions in. That hit hard, but the actual voice acting of Lexi was insane to bring out the feels for such an immediate meeting.

Okay, I have a lot to say about this: For many years, I have never really enjoyed D&D, nor the thought of it, due to the significant amount of steps in creating your character and its unknown world. However, upon watching you guys sit around a table and just enjoy yourselves as you go through your adventure, I realised that the real joy of playing D&D comes from its flexibility; in creating this ever-changing world for your characters to explore. I am very much excited to continue watching and listening to OUAW. I'm glad I got to stumble upon your guys' channel.

Nikkie is one of my favorite internet GMs ever. She does such a great job at enabling the madness and I'm all here for it, but she also is more than willing to be serious when the moment calls for it

The beginning of this story is incredible and these characters are great, but my favorite part of this so far is listening to you lot laugh. You seen so genuinely happy and that makes me smile.
I love the fact that the imaginary death of clown spawning an inappropriate clown ghost brought most of us here.

I have been playing D&D for over 7 years (ever since my 15th birthday, always the DM) and I have to say this group seems like the most sincere friends playing the game. No one takes it too seriously, no one takes it too lightly, it is…fun and funny as hell! I look forward to binging all of this wonderful content!!
The "Gricko being a child" incident reminded me of something that happened in the Pathfinder campaign I'm currently involved in.
Our Bard is a goblin. A pink goblin named Gursmf. But his gimmick isn't that he's horny. No. His gimmick is that he doesn't know he's a goblin, and is scared of all monsters. Including goblins. Show him a mirror, he will go "EEP!" and try to hide.
So recently, we found out that non-green goblins are an endangered species. So we need to explain to little Gursmf that we need him to make "more little pink people." That's the words of an NPC, not one of the characters.
Now, the session before, Gursmf had got an apprentice, a young boy of about eight. Now, since Gursmf isn't aware that he's a goblin, and is a bit unclear on distinctions between races in general... well, not long later after we told him about "needing more little pink people," he proudly presents us his apprentice, now doused in pink paint.
Shortly thereafter, we had to clean the boy up, send him home, and give Gursmf "the talk."
In the end, our NPC let it slip that there's a yellow goblin with a similar psychological... "condition" that we can set Gursmf up with. So hopefully, we can save the species. But none of them will know that they're goblins.
😂 So how did the goblin "dating" go?

man this DnD channel needs to be so much bigger than it is, it is so good, so funny, and so entertaining to watch! I have always wanted to try DnD but I am introverted and need very close people to play with so it is rare for me to actually try but watching your videos makes me really want to get into it!

Will say if you are introverted, nothing beats playing online. I played with a friend and we didn't meet in person or even turn on webcam for like 3 months. There are plenty of games but if you really want to be sure you get to play then DM!
I play 1-3 times a week, mostly online and it's all through word of mouth basically. Just started with me saying I would DM and inviting 2 friends to play. They had friends who wanted to play and now I play with 12 regulars and up to 30on my one shot WhatsApp
So glad I finally made time to watch the episodes instead of the shorts, this has been gold, and there's a LOT to got through.
Came here because of Chuckles, but knew I wasn't going to be disappointed

The nose cracking is a simple illusion I learned when I was younger and more into magic tricks. I remember I scared a few people with that particular one. Haha.
After seeing a bunch of shorts I decided to watch the full campaign. I just love how Nikkie gives the players room to play out their characters and when she steps in she does it amazingly well. So fun to watch. Everything just feels so genuine like no one plays it for the camera, just a bunch of friends playing DnD.
