I am proud of you Luke that you came out to your family. You have nothing to worry about your family and friends will always be there for you. I came out to my family, friends and cousin's, aunt's and Uncles last year at 49 years old. I was in the closet since I was 25 years old. I knew I was gay then because I was attracted to guys. Not attracted to women. Couldn't tell my family because my parents are Dutch and are war children. They were born during World War 2. My Father is a very conservative man but when I came out to them last year. I was told they accepted me for who I am and still love me no matter what and support me and just want me to be happy. Luke you have a friend in me and you can talk to me on Facebook messenger. Just send a friend request and I will accept it. You have my support all the way.
WOW! You’re beautiful and believe in yourself and be happy with your choices and your life! Avoid the negative influences, 100% - FOREVER!!!! Many blessings and positive vibes, sweetie. ❤️🌈😢
You had more strength then me, I didn't have the nerve to tell my mom until I was 32. The funny thing is she knew from the time I was 11 and she saw me kissing a guy friend of mine but figured I'd tell her when ready. All the best to you and stay proud of self and keep true
@@azerothdss for me it went well but I'm not gonna lie and say it will be ok for you as it will depend on your life and the people in it, but I've noticed most coming outs are better in the long run then hiding ones true self
Such a sweet story. Nice to see people who are comfortable in their skin and I’m glad that you made it clear to your mom that it’s just how we’re born. I’ve always thought it was weird that people think that it’s a choice...that we’d CHOOSE to be social outcasts. I’m so glad that things have progressed significantly from when I was in my early-20s, back in 1993-1994, ‘cause it’s so much more accepted now. 😁
A lot of folks were helped by this video, Luke. It's been 8 years now, so how is life going for you? I've been out for 50 years and have had an exciting and wonderful life. I hope yours is just as good.
Luke, you are such a cutie!! Don't let anyone get you down. You have friends here who love and care about you. I'll gladly stand by you. A friend, Mikey.
You just be happy and proud of who you are and don't allow other negative people put you down, your a good guy soooooo enjoy your life to the fullest and enjoy all that you have-😘
It does matter what people say but you cant do anything about that...all you can do is surround yourself with good people that support you. Good luck young man on your journey through life....I think you'll do just fine
I liked your coming out story very much. You seem like a really nice and honest person. These are wonderful qualities in a pretty crazy world. I just found you on you tube. What has happened in your life in the last 9 years and where are you now?
I know I'm a little late to the game responding but this is the first time I saw your video and I just wanted to say how cool it was that your dad was more concerned that he hurt you with his words in the past rather than it being about him. He was more concerned about you. That really shows a good person that can go above and beyond how they were brought up or where they were brought up and become or be a better person.
Some people do use bi identity for a while then later gay/lesbian. Others are gay first then bi later. There are many many people who have always been bi (statistics say largest part of LGBT community are multi gender attracted)
Be your self Luke, u done better then me, I been I'm closet all my life still not out I didn't even tell my parents they both is past away, I did till me brother he said oh well u ok be your self I still love u and u still my brother wish I told my parents now but it be ok 👌

All will work out. Yes, isolation is hard to deal with, but one must do something they enjoy to occupy the mind. Turning to nature is always a good way to sort things out and having someone to talk with, or just listen without judgement helps. Hope all goes well for you....
You don`t mention siblings. Parents are concerned about: a) grandchildren and b) reputation in the community. Luke, could you please cover those questions. Re the ice cream comment. Mums cling into the hope that none of "bad" stuff is going to happen. YOU appear to heterosexual in every way and you will find that an advantage. Good luck! BTW I am het and hate any mention of bullying.
Your lucky. When I was growing up gay you had to keep it hush or take a big risk of being killed. That sounds unbelievable but that's the way it was. Glad kids can come out now days without that. Thanks for sharing your story
Luke is the perfectly normal example and reason that many people don't believe it when people come out as Bisexual. Many gay men use bisexual as a transition label going into recognizing that they are fully gay and there is nothing that can be done about it, because you cannot blame them for either not-knowing they are fully gay, or for being too afraid of admitting they are are not interested in women at all. This is a harsh reality for people who are actually totally bisexual, but you really cannot blame anyone for their predicament. Bisexual people exist in a grey area of sexual identity and that cannot really be helped, but I do sympathize with them.
Today it's relatively easy to be LGBT and Christian. Just find a Congregational church that's "Open and Affirming." Congregational churches are often collectively referred to as "The United Church of Christ."
I am happy to hear that even though I am not gay. I was raised in the Congregational Church and am now a Quaker. We hate any kind of discrimination and of course war.
Peace be upon you, as a member of a sharing and caring community, you're obviously need to listen to me, I just want to say that:- If you got anyone in your life that ever said to you ''how did it come to this'' in the unkind ways, you know what I mean. This is what you tell them, you look at straight into their eyes and you saying: 1. Nobody should ever feel belittled for whoever they love. 2. I believe that God will please, and embraces with ours' kind and loving spirits. 3. Whenever you come close yourself to God, He will never judge you based on your sexual orientation, He will judges and look at you, by what kind of a person you are. 4. Humanity is about as long as we bring ourselves to loves someone else, no matter what colour, no matter what race, no matter what religion, and no matter what gender. Humanity just want us to be loved, and to be able to love somebody back. 5. And in God's eyes kindness and love are what it’s all about.
Shit she told him I want you to know I don’t really care straight or homosexual why should it matter it should not matter at all it’s normal to question sexuality but at least you’re honest in this video but other than that I want you to know I am fine with it I don’t care that’s not me I’m straight and I’m fine with that too And not just that I have a disability mine is down syndrome I’m fine with that too so yes I want you to know that and if you make videos I’ll be more than likely to check in to your channel as often as I can but I want you to know it’s normal to question sexuality and I need you to know that and My name will show up in your comment section you’re free to say my name if you like but if you give me a shout out I want you to know that I want you to know that it is very much normal to question society it’s important to everybody
