    Who says "abroad" is a sure route to success? Having a child abroad definitely doesn't guarantee the child's success. Many are a child born and living abroad but sent back home because they are not being nutured in "the abroad". There are so many people (young and old) who are suffering in this same "abroad" but will never go back home. Abroad has it's pros and cons, it's not a do or die matter as many make it to be. As believers we know that anywhere we place our feet, we shall possess. God bless you sis, your children are blessed. Thanks for sharing ❤

      Ayope Davies I believe I was meant to see this comment,been married for close to a year and as we plan on kids we had a discussion and I we agreed we want to have out kids in America and calculated the cost,I prayed to God about it and asked his will be done despite my desire and for him to provide. I had this thought in my head like I’m a believer and it dosent matter where my kids are born. To be honest I just wanted best medical care and for them to have their citizenship. Seeing your comment has me wondering and asking God is this what u are saying to me? Hmm

      Abroad is still a lot more better due to numerous amount of reasons, but if you'd like me to post them I will. Everywhere you go will have its pros and cons but they're certain places you go that will have more cons the pros.

      Ayope Davies
      I agree 100%. Trusting God for one's success and one's child's success is what counts. Those that believe and put their trust in God,he'll be with them anywhere they are,if they live intentionally and not recklessly.

    Your child will be president in Nigeria 🇳🇬 so must be born there. You are doing well in Nigeria stick there. Am Zambian and I can tell you this living in the UK is not easy. 3 of my kids are born in the UK and I want to relocate to Africa because home is best. You have answered the questions well. Love you..

    All my siblings were born abroad except me. Being a Nigerian citizen did not limit my success all praise to God. However things were a lot easier for my siblings in terms of finding work opportunities, qualifying for scholarships etc. There is definitely an advantage to having the blue passport but I wouldnt advice anyone to break the bank for that reason. Your success in life isnt tied to the passport you carry. But also the type of medical care and attention to detail you get from the medical staff in the US is far superior to what you get in Nigeria. Sadfact

      The speed of a man is dependent on what he is pursuing or what is pursuing him.It's really a complicated issue but if you can afford it and God helps you to birth your kids where they can have access to ample opportunities in life that's great and perfect.There are two sides to a coin.It's a question of choice.

      Being born abroad has nothing to do with success in life...however, the child gets gets more opportunities ..education, healthcare, job etc. By and large, no need breaking the bank or taking out loan for this...

    • @oliviaseed1199
      @oliviaseed1199 5 лет назад +2

      I disagree on the part of medical care being superior.
      You can get the same care here for less, compared to what you pay in the USA.
      Please research.

    Nigerians chant Abroad, abroad, abroad everywhere and every day. Until you get to some of "the abroad", you'll be shocked. I saw a documentary online that says maternal mortality (death of women after delivery) is very high in the US. So everything is in God's hand.

      The data on material mortality pregnant related deaths in the US is talking about death occurring within 42 days to a year after the end of pregnancy which most is preventable. New moms are so busy taking care of the baby and everything else that they don't take care of themselves, like going back to their doctor for their 3-6 week appointment. Most don't go back until it's too late.

    The only reason people are going to America to have babies, is to get an American passport for their babies, PERIOD! People need to stop pretending biko. If someone was really concerned about the maternal healthcare, with all that money you put into going abroad, you will get the best standard in Nigeria, in private specialist hospitals. In fact with less than that self. Or you can go to the UK😂😂😂(no citizenship) whatever makes people happy. But no need to shame anyone for having their kids in Naija. Had both my kids here in the best hospital. One needs to research and choose hospitals wisely. Nurses play a big part. I don't do wicked nurses😂 Twins ke? I hail you o sisi

    • @ifeojora1925
      @ifeojora1925 5 лет назад +6

      I sincerely appreciate her honest replies. Truth be told, if she can make out time and money to be abroad for holidays, and spend some good quids for education abroad, she could as well have made out savings just for the babies to have a less stressfuL future. Y'all can famz her all you can, the green passport is not as delightful as most passports. It is so stressful using the green. Let us even forget for a sec about how well the future of our kids will turn out, that one is in God's hands. But, let us atleast do the one we have power to control if and only if we can just plan their future by the savings and sacrifices that we make now. My advice: if you want the blue passport, you do not even have to stress about the US or such places, just go have your child in a caribbean country, you get a blue passport for your baby immediately after birthing. That passport gives access to almost all the countries in the world, visa free to all of europe and so much more. If in doubt, google "visa requirements Saint Kitts" Besides, you do not need a visa to go to that country, and so many other caribbean countries. Cheers!! much love from me

    I do think having foreign citizenship is beneficial for children, a US/Canadian passport opens so many doors. With the state of Nigeria, an escape route is needed. I personally have dual citizenship and I’m very grateful I’ve been able to apply for scholarships, travel around the world freely. My foreign passports have opened so many doors for me

    Speaking as an American born with parents who moved from Kenya, yes I have privileges but it's still hard especially being black in America. Come on, those days of escaping are over, let's make Africa better instead of outsourcing ourselves. Health concerns makes so much sense I understand, but also securing the future thing has its cons as well. Anyway, the choice is to the person, just trying to provide another opinion. I love this honest and heartfelt video. Love you Sisi Yemmie!

    It doesn't matter where you have you child, its down to parenting to ensure the child lives a great life. I live in London and immigration laws don't allow a baby born in the UK to have citizenship unless one of the parents had an indefinite stay or British passport. So if that's the case, don't bother with the UK unless you meet the criteria. But like I said it's all down to parenting.

I moved to UK last two years and what I will tell you is that the rules change so much so don't feel you have to give birth abroad because it's not 100% sure that they will pay home fees.

    There you go again, another awesome video. You look beautiful. I had an older woman to tell me when my son was 2 1/2 that I wasn't really a mother until I had more than one child. I didn't understand her at first, but I later realized that I actually became a better mother when I had another child. I also learned to teach my son and daughter to share and have a cohesive brother/sister relationship, not to mention all of the attention that my son craved from me when he was an only child changed. He focused a lot of his attention on his sister. So, having a sibling for him to play with somewhat freed me up do do other things. I felt less stressed, really. Also, I had the "Mask of Pregnancy" the dark spots and a really big nose with my daughter, who took my looks toward the third tri-mester along with one wisdom tooth, this didn't happen while pregnant with my son. I just thought I would share this with you. :-) Again, I miss your videos and really appreciate your always sharing when you can. I so look forward to your wonder stories. Give the family my love.... from a devoted subscriber. :-D

    My baby sister was born in our house. She was delivered by our neighbour and she is healthy, smart and beautiful. She is now in varsity. If a child is meant to be yours, nothing can stop u from holding that child. Maternal death can happen in any hospital even if the care is the best.

    Sisi. Nothing but the grace of God guarantees success in life. Society pressure makes people do irrational things. A friend borrowed 10 million naira to have a baby in the US. I had my first born in Nigeria due to different reasons and all. I can remember a friend of mine called me and said Fade, how can you your child in the Nigeria? You of all people? You used to live in London now, what happened? She didn't even ask if I was okay and if my baby was ok too?
    Sisi your kids will be successful regardless where you give birth to them. The grace of God is enough. 💖💖

    These are part of the many reasons i love Sisi Yemi,imagine some questions asked just too personal and mostly not for us but still she smiles and still answer them. Thank you so much for being who you are. Managing two kids is a task one needs to be careful in dealing with, i experienced it with my younger sisters,back then. The older one got really jealous and mommy just wasn't good in handling it, we later lost her though although medical reasons. So when i see a mother with two kids i just advise love them both and make the older one a mini mommy or daddy so he or she feels a sense of responsibilty towards the child while you have more time to show love to the older one while he or she is busy loving d younger one.

    Yemisi, you are right, many blacks in Europe are regretting their actions by coming abroad because their children are facing discrimination that they loose focus of what they want to achieve and become dropped out. There's no where you can't be blessed. Is a Pity that most Nigerians are feeling inferior, not patriotic and not having confidence in Nigeria systems. We are all going to build Nigeria together like other people are building their countries.

  • @Chizzynec
    @Chizzynec 5 лет назад +7

    Children's success in life is not dependent on geographical location where they were born. There are some people born in "the abroad" living in "the abroad" and still their future is still not secured. Their lives are not moving forward...so this our mindset in Nigeria is all messed up.

    I love the last part the most. And I'll hold on to that advise too. To care for the older child's needs and emotions too, because he'll remember those moments. That's a mistake a lot of parents make. They push the older child away and expect him to understand. It's not easy (especially for the mum), but one just has to be fair on the older children too. Thanks Sisi. I'm growing to love you and your content more and more. God will continually strengthen you Momma.

    You have nurtured your first born since birth and continue to do so now that he is 4 years old, however he needs to learn that he now has a sister and has to share your love and care. You need to build a bond with your daughter and dropping her because your first born is calling and can talk will disrupt this. The first few years in a babies life are critical, not just physically but emotionally, this is the time that she is learning who her carers are and more importantly where her source of comfort and nurture comes from. Not putting her first at this time may sow the seeds of her not feeling as though you are a reliable source of comfort and love and that you are there when she needs you.

    Beautiful Sisi Yemmie thank you for this video. It should be very instructive for those who are desperate to have their babies abroad. Firstly it is not a big deal. Secondly like you said God is the author of our lives and takes vate of us as He wills. I am a British citizen who was living in Nigeria when I had my children but travelled to the UK each time I had them. When I had my second child, it was by CS and believe it or not the next day after I had her, I was given wrong meds which made me have Bells Palsy. Through the grace of God, I got healed. So that's just to say there are no guarantees regarding medical care abroad. It could happen anywhere. It's only God my sister

      @Chizzynec 5 лет назад

      Thanks for your comment. Sorry you have to experience that. Your experience will help educate our people that there are no guarantees. We are not the author of our lives, what will be will be whether you're born in the deepest darkest part of Africa or your born in whatever place our people rank to be the best place on earth to be born. The mindset of our people sickens me. In the USA now, maternal mortality is on the rise.

    A few comments: 1) Contraceptives are not one-size-fits-all; 2) It often takes several attempts to find the contraceptives that work for your body.

    Negligence in Nigerian hospitals I think is the number 1 reason why people choose to go abroad!
    I dont think countries like the UK and US do this whole baby citizenship 'anchor baby' anymore. Not sure about Canada though. Wonderful Video 😘

    • @NelosHalo
      @NelosHalo 5 лет назад

      Issa lie o! Our people don't rush to the UK because no automatic citizenship. Why do you think people are borrowing to give birth in America? Anchor baby of course. Of course there's still widespread negligence. But there equally great hospitals in Nigeria that can compete with hospitals abroad. Had both kids in Nigeria and had the best healthcare and experience. Of course people ask the silly question. One even asked me to "borrow" so I can give birth abroad if money is a problem😂but it's not by force nau. This anchor baby thing is not new. Its only more widespread. Few Nigerian Parents did it in the 70s and 80s

    There are just so many reasons to why people should come give birth abroad if you can.Especially the health care system in Africa.I love how you said your success
    is not base on where you were born. I hate that people think that you have to come to the US before you can be successful. Visa is hard everywhere ohh

    People can ask some kain questions sha... I would have loved to have my baby in the United States but we couldn’t afford it and that was it. No be by force, we can’t kill ourselves! Citizenship by birth isn’t the only way for your children to have such opportunities. What if we relocate as a family tomorrow? 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Sisi Yemmie, you could use an IUD. It prevents implantation of the embryo into the uterus and so it doesn’t mess with your hormones. The contraceptives that affects hormones sometimes causes those side effects you mentioned. IUD could cause heavy menstrual flow tho.

  • @Elohoralago
    @Elohoralago 5 лет назад

    For contraceptives implant is one of the best no much side effects of getting fat and it's made in different years for each according to the years you will want. But if you can a natural method is okay too. Depending on your husband's understanding. Like after menstruation him you both staying away till your safe period is over. I hope this help.

    I never even knew it was called anchor baby. Pls do a video on how you chose your Hospital. I had chosen my Hospital at 5 months, seen the midwives, even went there at 1 am on the day my baby came only to be sent back because I was just 1-2cm dilated.
    By 9am when my water broke and something that looked like the umbilical cord was dangling down an ambulance came and rushed me to the second closest hospital which was my 2nd choice. It’s just funny how man proposes but God disposes.
    We were doing fertility window /counting safe period when I got pregnant, that method isn’t full proof.
    Funny how I had bad morning sickness even tho I was carrying a boy. It’s amazing how pregnancy affects everyone differently. My neck became darker a few weeks before I gave birth, I also had a lot of spots and patchy skin on my chest area, it’s mostly cleared now and my skin is glowing too, pls share your skincare routine sha, let’s learn!!

      Anchor baby is actually like a derogatory term in the US meaning poor "illegals" just come and pop out kids. No one uses it in a nice way

      Tuke Morgan mine is so dark and the dark patches in the chest area is called chloasma
      It’s really annoying especially when I apply make up and my face is brighter than my neck 🥺

      Anchor baby is a term used for ppl who go to another country and have a baby to anchor themselves there. Thats why ppl mad at Trump. He wants to stop ppl from doing this. May be why she was denied to come to USA while pregnant. Its probably a question: are you pregnant? Soon as they seen that it was a no.

    Keep the natural hair,you are inspiring me to carry my own hair instead of wigs and weaves.Health wise years,the facilities are so good,but compared to the hospital you gave birth at,I don't see why you can't have a child in Africa.Your explanation is 100 per cent right as to the reasons,! My dear even here abroad you pay through your nose ,it's very expensive, hence the health insurance.

    I have been in the USA all of my life born and raised. There are no guarantees of having your child in America. Just like we Americans have to be educated on the countries we visit so much so does Nigerians and other countries. Your right its not that deep. it seems to me your birth was professionally handled. There are many Nigerian and other foreign doctors here. I'm sure there are good doctors in Nigeria. It's a false sense of security, trust me. Your baby is absolutely beautiful and congratulations to you and your husband.

    As per the contraceptive method you asked for, I have been on IUD for close to 2 years now and it's working perfectly fine for me. Contraceptive is not a do or die things especially the hormonal based ones
    If one isn't working for you, see your health care provider for advice and try out another method 👍

    Good evening Sisi just watched your Q&A thank you for notification. There's one thing noticed "some women" loved to judged another while questioning reasons for their rights. Finding this so annoying that left persons feeling, and questioning if that's right for them. Just be supportive and understanding without social media judgement, pressure cooker attitude, some have take with pinch salt. Sisi have answered all right. 👌💃💯😘😇🤝👏👍💖💐🤗🏘️🌐
